Leela frowns in thought at Riw's words, then her face clears as she turns back to face the woman. "I can't make you see her, but I might be able to do something..."
Leela hums a long note, deep in her throat, almost a lowing call. The broken wood, scattered furniture at the damaged end of the deck are outlined in an unearthly violet colour visible to all, giving off a slight glow.

The lamia remains invisible to everyone but Leela who recalls these fierce warriors from the sketches on temples but nerve, not even once, did Maitland speak of them as if they were living, breathing entities!

The beast remains hidden and protected by a veil of innate magic and Leele remains the only one to see her!
Flint recalls this is the first airship passage to Anjara that Maitland has ever taken. He recalls Maitland has only set foot in Me'at Halwa once before when the mages were just raising the now great city from the sands a decade before in the beginnings of the reign of the recently deceased ruler, Seqenenre Ta'a, who shook the kingdom to its core when he began opening the kingdom up to the west and its influences. Skyship travel has only recently begun to take hold but most passengers still sail the ocean to get to the kingdom of Anjara. This is mainly because it's cheaper but it takes nearly three months to cross the water instead of only one by skyship which Maitland insisted they travel as quickly as possible!
Riw is keen to see the target but magic still blocks his view. He can tell where the creature Leela described landed having caused the damage to the deck and he can deduce where it might travel but honestly, it remains invisible so he can not be totally sure!
Leela makes her plea but the lamia does not seem affected or might be unable to understand Leela. It proceeds on the deck looking curiously around. It has a spear on its back it has yet to touch with no weapons drawn. The beast merely damaged the ship when it landed, its immense weight causing the wood to crack and splinter.

Leela pleads with her group, her hands out in a placating gesture. “Please don’t attack the lamia until we are sure of any ill intent. She has not attacked us, just landed… heavily.”
Leela turns to the lamia and tries asking her again but in Elvish, Minotaur and Sylvan, “We mean you no harm if you mean the same to us. Please tell us what you would like of us.”
As she steps gently towards the lamia in her attempt to communicate her request, she brushes past Riw. As her arm touches his, she gives him a Vigilant Blessing.
As soon as the creature thumped onto the deck, Riw switched to defensive stance, holding his shield in front of him facing the direction he expects the invisible monster to be and with the wave of his other arm he orders everyone to stay behind him. Just an old habit of being a bodyguard for a long time. Of course not everyone follows his orders as Leela, the only one who can see the monster steps forward, trying to address the beast in languages which are not familiar to Riw. Riw couldn't understand what Leela said but from her tone he was sure that the minotaur was trying to calm the creature down. Although, when Leela steps past him, their shoulder brush and Riw felt a weird, but definitely good sensation which readied his senses and muscles.
"Careful, Leela! I won't attack, but I'm right behind you if anything happens!" - Riw very slowly move forward to keep Leela within his reach, but not to present himself as an immediate threat to the creature.
(OOC - If the creature attacks Leela, Riw will react with a Sentinel Attack)
The firbolg opens his eyes, and a strange white light shines from them. Everything with some magic aspect starts to emanate an aura for Yiin, and tries to see the creature.
"You travel no further," the lamia's voice booms in common for all to hear. "You carry an enemy with you. Give them up and I shall let you pass," the beautiful and terrible creature explains next to all in earshot!
OOC: Yiin spell defines it as 'around any visible creature' the creature is only visible to Leela.
Yiin notices a blaring light from the front of the bow where the crystal powers the ship. There's a faint aura around each of his companions but it will take focuse to discover which objects on them are giving off because there are many. In the direction of the creature he sees the outline of a spear in mid-air, aboit 8ft off the deck, with the distinct aura of abjuration!

Leela pauses, still in a placating stance. “Great lamia, I may be able to help you if it is a just cause, but not if it is an act of spite or evil, then my role is to protect the innocent. Leela examines the creature, noting the tone of voice, facial expression and body language, thinking Is she angry? Does she look like she is barely holding back violence or is she open to discussion?
"I can assure you that we are no enemies, your ability to remain invisible is amazing. If there is someone on board that means harm, allow us to help"
Flinkwick begins walking towards where he believes the creature to be with both his palms up showing that he means no harm, after his initial defensive stance.
"They are below-deck. They know me and bear my curse," the lamia replies finally becoming visible to all.
The creature stands on four paws, a lioness body with the upper torso of a beautiful tanned skinned woman. She looks regale and terrifying as she stands, hands by her sides, and makes her demands.
Leela she seems reasonable but has a resolve to get who she came for no matter the cost to anyone else on the ship!
Leela looks around at her companions, whispering. "Do you think... Maitland? At the very least, they will have more knowledge of Anjarian curses than we do..."
She looks back at the lamia. "I'm sure we can resolve matters. Do you know the name of whom you seek? Why is it they bear your curse, o great lamia?"
When the lamia shrugged off her invisible magic and revealed herself to everyone who was around Leela, Riw lowered his shield a bit and for a few long seconds he just admired the creature. "By Asgorath! Don't tell anyone I said that, but this creature is...beautiful!" - he continues to look at the creature in awe, noticing her lion paws and the gorgeous humanoid woman face.
Leela's voice dragged him back to the reality and the severity of this situation, he quickly switched back to defenseve stance, turned to the minotaur and toned down his voice to whispering.
"Maitland? Oh no, that sounds really unfortunate. I joined this expedition as a bodyguard, I have sworn to protect all members of it. I cannot let anyone harmed or abducted. I'm all in to try and solve the situation in a diplomatic manner, but I'm afraid the final outcome will not be peaceful at all...and of course in that case I will be ready for it!"
With his last sentence, he carefully cracked his neck bobbing his head to both direction.
Yiin shakes his head in disappointment "Seems that this creature does not reason in its current state. Is really a shame..." the firbolg says while snapping his fingers.
Leela mutters, mostly to herself, "Who else is below deck that might be the bearer of this curse? None of the crew have been to these lands before..."
She turns to speak to Moira, still in an undertone but loud enough to be heard by her. "Moira, could you please apprise Maitland and Zydus of the situation and beg for their attendance to resolve the matter? I am sure this is a misunderstanding that can be sorted out with a modicum of honest discussion."
She resolutely faces the lamia again. "We hear that in these lands, a curse may be bestowed for the crime of removing artefacts without the permission of its people. Is this what has happened here? Might someone have negotiated permission with the wrong people?"
The dwarf nods edging her way off the deck to the cabins below-deck. What feels like an intense eternity, only a few minutes, it's captain Nyhus who emerges not Maitland.
"What in the Nine Hells," the captain shouts brandishing a sabre and grimacing."You lot asking for your leader to brought above deck?" She calls out next to the party. "Zydus claims they're dying and cannot be moved. This beast is evil! A barer of bad omens and lies," she adds. "You'll get nothing from my ship and certainly no one is coming with you," Nirah growls through gritted teeth!
As she's speaking, distracting the lamia crew members are making their way to ballista on deck.
"The pay the price harbinger," the lamia roars taking her spear in hand as it ignites into sickly green flames and she rushes towards Nyhus, Leela, and Riw!
