At this point the archers change tactics and as the ball of fire moves towards the fort (It is not able to go far enough to reach it this round, it will next round) they take a torch each at a yelled command from the one in the middle and throw them into the grass in front of the fort causing a small wall of flame to rise in front of the fort to make approaching it more difficult. From the looks of it, it appears they had placed pitch in a ring around the fort to light when under attack as a defensive tactic.

Fargrim rushes forward, ready to dodge any arrows that come his way as his momentum takes him 55 ft from the wall. "Is that the best you can do?" he shouts into the flaming darkness, "Tha Lord of Twin Axes fights along our side!"
Raising his axe, a ghostly dwarvish form appears on the wall next to the nearest archer, mimicking his movement with a similar action before fading away, leaving only a mystical battleaxe bearing a remarkable similarity to the Axe of Retribution, which comes slashing at Fargrim's foe. (Casting spiritual weapon. Attack: 11 Damage: 7)
(The sphere is a literal ball of pure fire. It will ignite things and cause them to burn until fuel is gone but not a physical form)
The figure that the Dwarven form appeared next to and then was attacked by the spiritual weapon dodged to the side and it missed him by scant inches.
The ball of fire finally collides with the ball causing it to burst into flames and begins to burn the wall of the fort. It will take 5 turns for it to burn it enough to potentially weaken the wall to break it.
Avery fires an arrow and as she was about to release realizes her aim was a tiny bit off and after readjusting it she releases the arrow and it strikes a Bandit in the chest causing him to cough a fountain of blood. He is clearly severely injured but still holding his crossbow ready to defend the fort.
Teller casts Frostbite on the fire near Alan and it temporarily dies down but the pitch prevents it from dying completely and the flames quickly build back to their former ferocity.

(Just so you know I'm going to be out of town until Monday. Arynn will attempt to get to the barrier and try and find a way to get everyone inside as his main focus, but will use his Deflect Missiles class feature to attempt to catch arrows and bolts aimed at him.)

Fargrim runs forward another 25 ft as two arrow bolts fly safely past him. Standing 30ft away and obscured by the smoke, he readies his next set of attackw. "Is that the best you can do?" he calls to the archers, once again taking aim at the closest one with the sword of Clangeddin (Spiritual Weapon Attack: 11 Damage: 4) as a burning heavenly fire strikes at the same target if he's still standing. (Sacred Flame Dex DC 13 Damage 8)
OoC: You'd think the God of Battle would have better aim...

"Really not liking this whole 'getting shot' business!" Alan shouts as an arrow slices his thigh. He spots where the smoke is thickest and moves toward it. Before entering the smokier area, he spots the archer who shot him and looses two quick bolts at the fellow, hoping to strike him in each thigh as retribution.
The spiritual weapon attacks but the bandit it is attempting to hit is unnaturally dexterous and once again dodges the attack, the flames however hit him full-on and blisters form on him as he screams from the pain. A look of anger fills his face at that point and he turns to glare at the dwarf.
Alan hits the bandit with two bolts in rapid succession and the dark figure staggers a moment before falling over the parapet to the ground below, unmoving.
Avery hits the bandit she shot earlier and the arrow takes him in the forehead this time dropping him into the fort like a sack of flour, Clearly he will not rise again.

(Sorry, was a busy weekend)
Arynn will follow after the group, trying to get to the entrance as quickly as possible (40 base movement, can dash)

Solastor moves forward pressing the Sphere forward. "The smoke will render there Archer's useless when they can't breath or see us."
Would you say the sphere has any physical form to be able to push through the pitch to create a path?
Moving forward 25 more feet. Now that Avery is within range she'll fire an arrow at one of the archers on the wall.
Attack: 7Damage: 9Using Lucky to reroll the attack.
Attack: 12
"Yeah, I'm even less fond of burning alive than I am of becoming a pincushion. Can someone do something about the fire?" Alan shouts to the group.
Alan gets close to the flames without getting too close, and raises his shield again, ready to block any arrows that might rain down. (Dodge)

Arynn will keep approaching, taking a dodge now he is getting closer.
In an attempt to keep the flames dimmed near our resident hero, Alan, Teller will cast Frostbite on a flame nearby
It's never a bad idea to learn something.
