Killian believes what he says to be correct. The moss is required to keep its moisture (only a drop or two of water will help keep this) and allow it to keep its phosphorescent properties, letting it function as material components for a light spell.
(Keep in mind the mention on the original rules, when casting a spell that has a material component, there is a chance that the material does break down and be used. You roll a d20 and on a 1 the material is expended. This is an extra rule that was mentioned at the beginning of the campaign, but just thought I'd give a reminder here.)
As the group is going through their provisions (nobody looted the pouches on the halflings, so they're buried in the graves) the group feels a shudder in the ground, resembling an earthquake. People standing up struggle to keep their balance (it would be a Dex save, but we're not in a dire situation, so I'll let you decide if you fall over or not), but the rumbling in the ground stops after about 30 seconds.
Mara is starteled by the ground begining to shake, falling into a crouch as she hopes that this is not going to be another fight. She looks to the others to make sure that they are ok.
(I actually noted separating pouches from them. I just haven't looked into them. Yet.)
Rumble was not entirely the most dexterous of people, so even seated it doesn't take much for the earth genasi to fall onto his back with an audible "oomph!". But now thoroughly alert, he immediately scrambles for his club before trying to get to his feet. "Is everyone -- *shaking stops*... What in the world was that?" He asks as cautiously straightened out.
(Sorry, skipped that separating the pouches alongside the weapons bit. Yeah, there's three pouches that can be looted along the way. Just let me know when you want to have a look-see)
There is a rustling in the trees just behind the party. As they look over, they see the leaves fly off the tree, like thousands of leaf-winged bats in a panic. They flitter outwards in all directions, spreading towards the outskirts of the room. It is at that point that the party notice the "sky" is going from a sky blue to a blood red.
Mars's eyes go wide when she sees that the fake sky is now the color of blood, her hand clenching as she once more wished that she had a way to leave the strange place. She will prepare for a fight as her hands clench and unclench. "This place is starting to seem as if it was and to attempt driving people to madness."
Dark feels the earth shake and takes to the air until he sees what happens to the trees and the sky. “What is this? Craziness at every turn. Everyone get ready!” He lands back down on the ground preparing to take a dodge action.
Killian falls to his back. Seeing the sky turn red. He gets to his feet, "why can't we just have one peaceful day!" He yelled. He looks to the trees now bare of their leaves. Searching for where they "flew" off to.

Rumble will tighten his grip on the great club, bear his teeth, and take the dodge action. "Right! Just don't go too high, Mister Birdman. Ain't no tell'n if those /things/ are gonna double back on us." He says, shooting glances all around after moving to cover an open space in the group.

"I suppose we should find egress from this faux forest, I cannot imagine having good fortune here." Leojym stands back up strait after stumbling against a tree while the ground shook.
Looking at the trees, you see that these trees are basically the same as the ones you encountered in the deadwood. They basically appeared different due to apparently having foliage growing on them. Now that the leafy things have moved, it is apparent that these trees are also spaced out in a similar fashion.
As the group looks around, searching for answers There is another mini quake, but only for a couple of seconds. Then, looking up, you notice something strange. The "sun" on the mural appears to have gained orange "cracks" along it, and its centre appears to become a void of darkness. It now looks like a predatory eye, looking down on the land below.
"I beleive that is the sign that we need to leave this place quickly." Mara says as she jumps to her feet and looks around in panic. She shakes it off though and forces herself to calm down. Once more she will make sure that her Mage Armor is up as she waits for thenothers to ready themselves.
Rumble tries to formulate words several time, only to fail at every instance. Finally, he lets out wolfish growl, instilling some sense of resolve. "Someone pick path and lead then. I'll cover." He demands more than request, fully intending on following through with the "plan". In the meantime, he'll maintain a defensive posture until he sensed the others run off.

"Rumble! Let's just go this way" Killian points off across where had taken his walk earlier. "Follow me and watch my back big guy, Mara, Leo, Sim, Dark and Shadow keep watch and stay close." Killian rushes off in the direction he said.

The group hastily grabs their belongings, throwing it all into the sack, and heads into the forest. Killian leads them through the branches on a path he tred only a few moments ago. Dark flies low enough to be just above the trees. Rumble takes the rear, ensuring that nothing chases them through the treelines.
Killian takes the group to the large boulder in the middle of the forest. As he looks about the area, he notes that the halfling must live in this area. There is signs of habitation, their small footprints seen here there and everywhere. He does note that there is a distinct lack of steps within around a foot of the stone itself, as if it was there as a sacred rock not to be touched.
For Dark:
As you are glimpsing around, you see the "pupil" of the sun-eye begin to shimmer, the black spot starts to become a silhouette, as if something is pulling itself out of the sun. The form slowly begins to take the shape of a manta ray.
Currently it seems the form is pulling itself out of the ceiling. It is similar to watching a drop of a viscous liquid, like honey dropping from a spoon.

Dark flies over near the group to warn them. “I don’t know what this thing coming out of the eye is but everyone take cover.” After warning the group, Dark continues to fly looking for an exit while keeping his distance from the Manta Ray thingy.

Darnell hops from one unstable stone to another, easily keeping his balance. He looks up at the sky in horror.
And that's all I have to say about that.
