The group decides to take a load off for a moment, needing to rest up and patch their wounds.
(Feel free to spend hit dice and regain any benefits that are regained on a short rest. Randaler's herbalism kit is more for being used to craft things, which takes time and money. Medicine is useful for first aid, but isn't potent enough to increase hit points.)
Randaler checks over the chest at the back of the room. It doesn't appear to have a lock on it, or any traps. Opening the box, there is a large pile of copper and silver coins, two bottles of red liquid, and a statuette of a frog made of a green stone with two beady golden eyes. The statuette looks small enough to put into a pouch.
(Also to point out that there are the crates as well, which haven't been searched through)
Randaler shows the goods in the box to the rest of the group. "Any idea what these red potions are?" he asks the more arcane members of the group. "Or this frog statue? Looks valuable..." he says to the whole group in general. "We should split this stuff up so we can carry it. The box is a bit heavy to haul around by any one being."
Then, taking a short rest, he patches up his wounds, and walks around the room poking into this and that looking for something to eat.

“Let me take a look at those things.” I grab the potion and hold it up to a light. “As far as dividing up the loot, anyone have any quarrels about me taking the frog? Would look amazing on the mantle at Gloomblast Manor.”
Arcana (potion): 21
Do I need another roll to check the frog for magic? If so:
Realgâr would have looked through the crates if Randaler went through the chest. (What does he see in them?) If there is a one-handed weapon to be used with a shield (battleaxe, morningstar, etc) in the room anywhere then he will take it.
As he searches the crates he mentions, "So what of that goblin on the bridge back there? I wouldn't be surprised if he got his two other pals that we also tied up at the entrance. Along with the wolves."
After searching the crates and taking one of the scimitars (if no one else claims it), Realgâr goes and sits by Mary playing a song while the others patch up their wounds. He fluffs out the dust from his beard, cleans the blades on his axes, and squeezes the water out of his clothing from the water hitting him earlier.
(Don't forget to add your Consitution modifier to any hit dice healing you have used during a short rest)
The group settles down, as Mary plays some sea shanties to keep the group content as they rest. Checking the crates, they have an emblem of a blue lion painted on the side, and opening one up it sees that there are unsmelted ores contained within them (If you want to make an Investigation check to determine what type of metal would come from the ore, dwarves getting their stonecunning bonus for it). Also around the room is the javelin that Klarg used to fell Kres, a pair of scimitars and shortbows with 10 arrows each from the surrendered/felled goblins.
Chad takes a hold of the potions. Shaking the bottle, the red liquid in the vial glimmers slightly. He has seen potion of healings before from his AI internship. The standard cost in a shop would be 50 gold per potion, but the internship usually charged 75 gold for their use during the hazard training.
I will stash away in one of the potions to an inside pocket of my cloak hoping no one asks for it back. I continue looking at the frog statue in the light.
After hearing the scream, I look in the direction of the noise. “Well I guess we should get on with it friends. Sooner the better in a matter like this.” I grasp my quarterstaff with both hands and prepare myself for battle. The frog statue is slid into my pant pocket. I cast prestidigitation on my quarterstaff making it appear to have been covered in blood and goblin bits.
Rushing through to follow the screams, the group goes over the bridge where they see the discarded rope that the goblin was tied up with is left on the stone floor beside it.
Turning around a bend, the group can see a lit part of the cave. The large cave is divided in half by a ten foot high escarpment. A steep natural staircase leads from the lower portion to the upper ledge. The air is hazy with the smoke of a cooking fire, and pungent from the smell of poorly cured hides and unwashed goblins.
There are four goblins stood on the lower part of the cave, wielding shields and scimitars. Up above are another three goblins. Two of them have shortbows readied and pointed down the hallway the group is coming from, and the third goblin, presumably Yeemik, is stood at the edge of the slope. Beside him is a brutally beaten and battered human in his later years. He has greyed hair and is bound along his arms and legs, leaving him next to no way to move. The goblin beside the human points a knife at the group as they approach. "Truce, or the human gets it!" He yells at the group.
(The group is about 20 feet away from the opening to the room, still in the corridor in marching order. There is a steep staircase on the escarpment that starts about 15 feet into the room and winds up and around to the upper level, one of the goblins with a bow stands at the top of the staircase)
“You must be Yeemik. You can thank me anytime by the way. Klarg seemed like an ******* to work for. Now that you’re leader, I want to know what your truce is.”
Realgâr is just about to inspect the ore and see what they found when everyone bolts towards the scream.
How much ore is there? He'll just put what he can into his pack and stick with the group after grabbing the javelin on the way. He looks in disappointment towards the morningstar out of reach and bypasses it.

Chad speaks to the goblin in its own tongue. The goblin looks back, replying in common so the others can understand. "Hmm... You killed Klarg, eh? Well one of you can go back, the rest wait there! Bring me his head! Then we'll talk about letting this one go..." The goblin has a snarky grin on his face as he turn holds the knife towards the beaten form beside him.

Each of the crates is filled with ore. Your backpack is already quite filled with your adventuring gear. It may be better to retrieve the crates between you on the way out.

”If Klarg was still alive, he’d be here right now. Send one of your goblins to see. He’s in the other side of the cave. We just want the human and we’ll leave. You'll be free to rule Yeemik.”
Insight (is Yeemik telling the truth or is he going to double cross us?): 18
It doesn't seem like Yeemik wants to double cross you. In fact, he seems delighted that you've killed Klarg. However, it does feel like Yeemik is trying to keep as much advantage as he can.
"We know human tricks!" Yeemik responds. "You plan to ambush us. We are not stoopid. Go get Klarg's head, and we'll talk."

”Send two of yours with my bird friend here to the other side of the cave. I’d rather not spill blood. We just want our man back. No bullshit my little friend.”
Yeemik seems to contemplate this for a moment. He then grunts something in goblin.
"Yarr, Deddo, go with the bird. If it does any funny business, gut it and feed it to the wolves."
Yeemik then looks back to the group, going back to common. "Two go with you. Any funny stuff, and there'll be no truce." Two of the goblins step forward, keeping their shields and swords raised, more in a defensive position in case of the "funny stuff".
Randaler is finishing putting a portion of the coins from the box into his pack when the yelling starts, seeing his friends rush in that direction, he quickly gathers his things and follows. "Wait for me!" he calls as he grabs a couple arrows from the dead goblins stuff, unslings his bow, nocks an arrow and joins the group ready for a fight.
Watching and listening to the back and forth with the goblins, Randaler remains behind Chad, but off to the side with a good view of the goblin archers... just in case.
Ready action: Randaler is prepared to shoot an arrow at one of the archers if there is any sign of an attack from the goblins.
