Shadow moves to the door and finding it unlocked, opens it and walks through. He sees...
The ceiling of this hall rises to an apex of twenty feet overhead. The floor, walls, and vaulted ceiling are composed of smooth black stone that almost seems to absorb light. Two cylindrical iron cages, each one five feet tall and two feet wide, dangle from the ceiling by iron chains. The base of each cage hangs five feet above the floor. A strange sculpture stands in the middle of the hall between the two cages: a five-foot tall column of roughly hewn gray stone covered with sharp protrusions. Four crystal-tipped appendages jut from the stony mass, each one pointing in a different direction.
(Rellahne where do you want to be in the marching order? Right now it is Shadow in the lead, followed by Oreus (his glaive has light cast on it for a light source), Laladak used to be 3rd, Alben and then Tyris, and the two half-elves in the rear.)
Seeing no enemies, Tyris cautiously makes his way towards the column, keeping a few feet back from it, but inspecting it as he could without getting closer.
Seeing the party start walking around the room investigating, Rellahne stops close to the door and asks. "Would everyone like a professional's aid? Within 10 minutes, I may be able to tell whether there's any magic here or not, I might just have to make you wait a little bit." She says while picking her spellbook. If uninterrupted by the group, Rellahne casts Detect Magic as a ritual.
Meanwhile, Rellahne asks her owl to keep her ears attentive to any strange sound they may hear while Rellahne is busy with her ritual.
PerceptionCheck: 11 (Advantage due to Owl's Keen Hearing trait.)
As Tyris moves forward to investigate the statute, Alben comes up blank with his investigation and Arcana check, while Rellahne starts her ritual.
Tyris moves past the first Iron cages, preparing to stop, but as he passes the cage the stone statue suddenly becomes a stone monster and moves to attack him. One of it's crystal tipped appendages slams into Tyris Slam Attack: 22 Damage: 16, connecting solidly with Tyris.

Stone Statue initiative 17
???? initiative 13
Fario's initiative 21
Fellian's initiative 15
Anyone who has a 17 or higher initiative can act.
Anyone who has Knowledge - The Planes can use his/her action to make a check to see if they know anything about the stone monster.
(Rellahne, I'm not expecting you to get into melee range often, but we are using Flanking Rules in this campaign. Also I am a little bit more lax on the maps than in DiT, so just let me know where in relation to a creature/object you want to move to and I will make it work.)
(I just realized that everyone (except for Tyris) should be an additional 5 feet into the room, so that Shadow can see the whole room. I don't have time to redo the map, so keep that in mind)
Shadow looks at the monster says "you'll be reduced to pebbles for this" casting vicious mockery wisdom 13 save or take 3 psychic damage and have disadvantage

When it is his turn he rushes to help his friend even if he is not really sure his weapons will be effective against what looks like stone, so he asks for divine aid
Fario will use his Cunning Action to Dash into position to flank the stone column with Tyris and attack with his Longsword Attack: 5 Damage: 9. Unfortunately the stone column doesn't seem distracted by being flanked and Fario missed.
The stone column will attack Tyris with his first Slam Attack: 15 Damage: 18 dropping Tyris with a mighty blow. His second Slam targets Fario Attack: 22 Damage: 13 leaving Fario in bad shape.
Fellian moves to 10 feet behind Tyris (next to Shadow) and attacks the stone column with his Shortbow Attack: 24 Damage: 15, dealing a good peicing strike. He then uses his bonus action to cast Healing Word on Tyris for 3.
Oreus moves next to Fario and marking the stone column he attacks with his glaive, he hits the weird stone creature
Tyris, Shadow, Rellahne, and Alben (I will post for Alben if he hasn't posted by the time the rest of you have posted) are up (Tyris is prone)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With her eyes close, focused on the ritual casting of detect magic, Rellahne is suddenly surprised by the loud noises of a fight starting. She opens her eyes to see the stone statue moving and attacking Tyris, she waits a bit seeing the statue being hit by both Fellian and Oreus which is when she raises her hand to cast Toll the Dead. DC 13 Wisdom Save or 1 Necrotic Damage.
Rellahne's owl goes just after her (rolled 6 on the initiative for the owl, don't know if you missed it), helping whoever attacks the statue after her while she passes through, using flyby to avoid being hit by any opportunity attacks.
