Tharanu you destroy your opponent Progo you destroy the ghoul in front of tryn Rayce i aimed your dagger to the next ghoul in line on right staircase and it hit Gor you can make it to e6 at best since there is thick webbing in the middle of room.

Two of the ghouls that were close to Goraseth fallowed him, but only one of those downstairs managed to get upstairs. Two who fallowed try to attack Gor, but have problems in the webbing and are not even scraping his armor.
On the right staircase the ghoul who was struck by dagger by rayce rushes to attack Tryncaryn and does that swiftly and efficiently but something seems od and the attack itself seems a lot slower for Tryncaryn who dodges it with ease (Ghoul roled 23 to attack but as Tryn foretold that was actually a 3 :P) One more is queuing on the right stairs.
One follows after Tharanau from the room and stands at I11 at this moment.

Goraseth keeps an eye on all the teams and sees that all his companions can probably escape. "Now ! Retreat. Too many of them. Jump down" Goraseth will wait until all are safely down before jumping below through the opening (using disengage action).
Tryn uses the ghoul's confusion to disengage and breaks into a short sprint (>D11>D10) before jumping towards the murder holes (>E9>E8) trying to get hold of the sticky webbing before lowering himself. Arms outstretched with grip on the floor boards he waits only a split second before letting himself fall down.
(I'm assuming that jumping over the sticky area costs normal movement because I'm unsure if the webbing is just on the floor or if it is in the entire room. In case he can't arrive to the bottom in this turn, he will not disengage but dodge and risk an attack of opportunity.)

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
(was the ghoul able to just open the door? just wandering how "capable" they are...) Tharanau starts to climb down the murder hole. When he reaches the ground below, he shoots a ray of frost upwards at any ghoul he can possibly see (19 to hit for 3 dmg) (the one next to Goraseth maybe?)
Tryn the webbing is between the pillars for the whole height of the room, as spiders do not feel bounded by floor :P So yo can get at e8 but if you want to get down the this means using dodge i assume as bonus action for you?. I rolled attack with disadvantage and ghoul was not fast enough to get you.
Tharanau, they are quite capable, they have been roaming these halls for years freely moving between the rooms. (also they have inteligence of 7 that is not so low considering mastiff has 3 and most dogs do learn how to open doors :P so zombie having more than twice i guess would figure it out) You can hit and do hit the ghoul next to Gor.
Rayce you hit, and the damage from fire will be counted on ghouls turn (it will probably kill him off) you run to the hole, and are going down, but you have not fully descended yet (hanging on rope)
Waiting for progo to see what he does and thus how gor would react.
Also please state if you are going to fight them downstairs or are you trying to get away (if fleeing would be your course of action we will change to chase rules after zombies ghouls turn) / i have never yet used chase rules but am curious to learn if you flee, unless you hope to obliterate them with crossbows downstairs - up to you /

Dodge is a normal action for Tryn (next level he will be able to make it a bonus action when he spends a Ki point). He must move slowly then (25 feet speed) and keeps dodging to avoid their attacks. Tryn's idea is to get out of melee and he had hoped that they would not follow them away from the castle. Still, hit and run might still be better than fighting a pitched battle.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Progo will high tail it out of there, to the rope and down if it's not blocked. He will BA dash to get as far out of the way as possible and will turn and will draw his bow and hold (held action to shoot any ghoul that tries to follow them down the rope.)
If Tryn doesn’t make it downstairs, can Goraseth disengage, grab him (one size smaller) and dive through the murder hole ? (I’ll use my body as a cushion)
i think the idea is to flee and shoot them as fleeing
If everyone is down and its our turn, Rayce will cast create bonfire on the spot with the rope. The aim is to sever the rope and force the ghouls to jump down and get hurt doing it. I also believe web is flammable so that could do more fire damage to the ghouls chasing us.
She will continue running, following Progo otherwise.
Ok Gor i will allow that just for the brevity of play. (normally that would mean you can not disengage as Grappling is an action, but i don't want to go back to much and tryn would be willing and ssuch and such :P we roll with that.) That unfortunately means you land prone. but lets say no damage since you were going for it intentionally.
Ghouls turn now. I could not imagine a ghoul to look for a rope to get down when in a chase so they just jump down for you, and most of them rolled high dex checks to not get prone (ghould at H10 is prone)
So the prone ghoul attacks Tharanu with dis since prone and misses. He had just 3 hp so i used Progo's reaction to kill him off :)
Slowed ghuol (with orange -) will go for Tryncaryn and misses.
2 other ghouls would go for goraseth and are attacking with adv. since he is prone. 1st one hits for 7 slashing dmg and Gor must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. Gor can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. 2nd goes for bite and hits as well, dealing 5 piercing dmg.
/As both of the turns in one round happen in the same time imagine some of those attacks happen midflight :P/
You also see a little bit inside trough arrow slits (there are still ghouls on the stairs) The fire on the left stairs died down (but only after the round it did the damage still) so you can expect to right stairs fire to go out on the next round.

"Progo, Rayce, can one of you rid us from this ghoul next to me? I can try and drag Goraseth away from here once I'm free to go." Tryn suggests seeing that Goraseth struggles with the ghoul's paralysis.
(Tryn is waiting to see if they can kill the ghoul so that he can leave without AoO. Should they fail, he'll leave anyway. He is going to drag Goraseth 25 feet towards the forest using a dash with halved movement due to dragging a heavy weight. He hugs the western wall to avoid contact with the prone ghoul.)

Tharanau is also hoping for Rayce to kill off the ghoul next to him (F8) and decides to attack instead the ghoul in front of Tryn (E8) with a witch bolt (17 to hit for 1 dmg). Tharanau then moves to K10. As a bonus action he converts one sorcery points to a 1st lvl spell slot.
Tryn will move with Goraseth in tow to K8 and Goraseth will be on J8. While he passes the arrow slits, and in case he sees more ghouls, he will shout out at them to draw their attention. With any luck some get distracted and will be delayed to follow them through the murder holes.

guys guys i forgot to update the photo F8 is dead by progos reaction!
So tharanu shoots at E8 all right it hits. but he needs to convert 2 points for 1st level spell (check with the table)
Tryn thats ok but the ghoul at e8 is getting an attack of opportunity at you. (it is 11 to hit so you are safe) and you scream, they look at you, we will see their reaction on their turn
