Watching her companions reign terror upon the band of orcs, the Elven woman's smile grows even wider until she's absolutely beaming. When her and Progo shoot their bows together and hit their targets simultaneously, it causes Elrora to bounce on her feet in excitement. She then rushes in closer, wielding her longsword and aiming to slash at the orc wearing a bandana.
Move: Downwards next to the bandana orc for 10 feet (d30)
Attack: Longsword Attack on the bandana orc — Attack: 14 (9+5) Damage: 11 slashing
Reaction: Opportunity Attack — Melee attack if an enemy moves out of reach
Tryncaryn plunged his feet in celiac plexus of a big orc leaving him catatonic on the ground and soon after loose and dead. Other party members massacred the bandana orc pierced with arrow and an ice ray, and sliced in two after that.
The fight is over, orcs are defeated.
It takes you less than two hours to get to the shrine following the road south. so you are closing on 2 p.m.
A ruin stands in the middle of a vast field north of the rocky foothills of the Sword Mountains. An old stone temple with a belfry jutting from its peaked roof is enclosed by stone walls, many sections of which have collapsed. The trail ends at a crumbling gatehouse, the doors to which were sundered long ago. Three of the four towers that once stood at the corners of the outer walls have collapsed. Only the northeast tower remains, and a guard stands atop it.
You are coming from the north and at this point you are sure the guard will see you if you approach any further as there are no places to hide in the level field surrounding the shrine.
Tryn stops and tries to get a good look at the shrine before approaching further. He calls everyone into a shadowy area which will be much harder to spot from a distance. “I thought the temple was empty? Wait a moment,” he says lowly. “Wasn’t it supposed to be abandoned, or did I mix things up?”
Tryn peeks through some cover at the guard and tries to identify its race, wondering if they might have stumbled upon an orc outpost. Perception: 22

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Goraseth would help Progo to find valuable. Will cast as well a cure wound on himself
Perhaps we could arrange for a short rest on the way, too, if Goraseth prefers.

Sure, you can all get a short rest, it would put you around 3 p.m. at the shrine, the guard at the tower is indeed an orc. Roll investigation for looting orcs.

„More orcs,“ mutters Tryn and adds, „No offense, Progo. The ones we found plundering the ruins might be from here. Perhaps even the ones that attacked the ranch. Before they attacked us on sight, we must be careful. Can we take him down quickly, before he has a chance to raise an alert?“
(How far away are we?)

there is about 400 feet of clearing in every direction from the shrine. so there you are within the treeline about 450 feet from shrine approximately.
Looting orcs you find between all of them 16cp, 3 Javelins, 1 Greataxe, 1 ration of food, rope (hempen, 50 feet). Of course they all had their weapons but i listed those that you consider usable after inspection.
Progo i believe shot 6 arrows so you can retrieve 3 of them that can be used again, as other rest are destroyed.

"He's much too far for us to attack from here," Elrora responds with a thoughtful frown as she peers through the trees at the guard atop the tower, tapping her fingers against her lips. Even with their ranged weaponry and assortment of spells at their party's disposal, the orc patrolling the shrine is still too great of a distance away. "Perhaps I can approach alone to distract the guard, and the rest of you could sneak into the shrine while I have his attention. What do you think?" the Elven woman asks, glancing about at her companions.
"Progo wonders, could we use any of the things the Orcs before had to dress up Goraseth to pass ats one of them from that distance?" Progo is scrawny and wouldn't pass as a bigger Orc even at a distance. Perhaps there is something they could use to cover Goraseth features enough to pass. "The other options would be use the darkness to sneak up or work our way around to see if there is a better angle to approach."
"Hmm, all good ideas," Tryn concedes. "Perhaps, we could try to circle around and approach from the direction opposite of the tower. The building itself could cover our approach. That might be faster than waiting for the night and I'm not sure about all of you, but I will be at disadvantage at night. I think they see much better than me."
(How high is the tower compared to the temple proper? Could we approach from the Southwest with the building hiding us from the Orc's vision. He might also expect that anyone who comes would approach from the north.)

"I can carry those weapons, I'm sure the blacksmith might give us a few coins for them" says Goraseth while trying to tie up the greataxe and the javelins to his backpack, leaving the copper, the ration and the rope for his companions. "Tryn, you know me. I do not like to hide. But I understand getting the surprise angle is important. I can stay a bit behind to remains silent. My armor does make some noise."
To Progo... "Disguising, this could be fun. As a gladiator, I have some experience in costume and disguise, I might pull that off..." (Goraseth has proficiency in Disguise Kit) He adds with a low voice... "the night could be usefull for you lads, but my eyes cannot pierce the darkness of the night. Is tonight a Fullmoon ?"
Tryn chimes in, "Well, if you want to try that, I can play your captive. That shouldn't be too difficult even for me."

You can estimate that building is lower than the tower so he still might see you coming from another direction from afar. Disguising ot waiting for the night seem like viable option tho. (If you decide that please roll accordingly with disguise kit Goraseth, and if tryn plans to play the captive roll for performance) /roll from second person gives more chance to fail, but it will be considered an easier DC since you both work together./

"The funny thing about the darkness is that everyone carrys a light to see or for safety. Progo might not be able to see everything between Progo and the light, but the light shows its bearer very well while not showing Progo."
"Well if we manage to dress up Goraseth enough to attempt the illusion of a returning Orc, we need to avoid a draw to call others out (prisoner needing extra guards, injuries and needs help). What happens if they ask questions, can you speak Orc? If you want Progo to snipe watchman, Progo will need to get much closer (80') and need time to set up shot. Maybe we wait for night fall for Progo to get into place and then wait for morning to make move? Maybe an illusion to give Progo cover in the light after getting into position during night? Progo would like to take out guard, but woukd also like to take the guards place upon the tower"
"Very well, let's disguise ourselves with the orcs cloths. I'll wear the bandana and something on top of my armor. Then we approach close enough for Progo to have a shoot. We could also just have a peak inside the building."
