"Mr. Kalazorn, my name is Tharanau. When did the orcs arrive? Do you have any insights how many more are in their clan and what their plans are going forward? And will you be alright from here on? Do you have support who can help you run the farm and defend if there are any new sightings?"

Tharanau is clearly worried about the old man on his own. 

They came tenday ago. I don't know why they kept me alive, fed me a little and beat me up everyday. There were at least 10 different orcs that i saw when i had not a sack on my face. We killed bunch before they overwhelmed us. I believe all of my farmhands died in the fray.

Seth remains silent for the first bit but then asks: “I wonder Why they hold you prisoner… Orc usually kill first, ask questions after…Where they looking after something?”

« Anyway, if this place is burned and destroy, The mayor of Phandalin will gladly have you back. »

"Oh i am not from Phandalin, but i know the mayor. I guess that would be best for now to stay in Phandalin until the land will regain its balance. As for the orcs, Now that you asked about it, they might have found my chest and be unable to open it. I have got the key hidden, but before we get to it, have you seen my cow Petunia? I mean have you seen her alive or maybe her cadaver? I won't leave without her, but if you are able to find her i might offer what orcs could not get."

“A cow, you say?” Tryn chimes in. “There was one near the farm and she was alive when we came across her. Was grazing, that’s all. Actually, there were also three horses, they’re yours, too? I might have shied away one of them. Not really the horse type, I. But my friend here managed to calm two. You know what BAK stands for? They were marked with these letters.”

" Sure i know that that stands for boy, they stand for "Big Al Kalazorn" that is how they call me here. If you managed to calm them down i do not mind you keeping then if you have the need. Please don't get them killed tho. I sure could use a horse, but more important is the cow. You see she is my main source of income /when he is saying that he waves his hand at the skulls made of butter/. I think i might one night in here, maybe my other horse would come around, And then i would take him and Petunia to Phandalin. Would you be so kind to fetch her for me? I will get the prize ready for you when you get back.

"Thank you, Mr Kalazorn. Let's get you out of this cellar. Would you mind if we try one of your butter creations? I sure have a bit of old bread somewhere in my bag. Let's try and find whatever the orcs left over."

Thatanau steadies the old man and walks with him into the house. There Tharanau will try and clean up a bit, remove the  biggest mess and look if anything else edible is around. Then he'll help clean out wounds and apply bandages as needed.

"I agree, we need a bit of a rest to patch our wounds. After that we can bring back your animals". Goraseth follows the goup in the house and finds a place to sit down and get some rest.

Tryn joins the others for the rest and offers some of his ration to the old man, too. During the break, Tryn fills in Progo as to what they have talked about in the basement.

Seeing the others entering the main house Progo will join them. "Progo sees you found one that isn't an Orc, and surprising breathing! Good find. Progo's friend tells Progo that you would like some assistance in herding a cow. Progo isn't much of farm hand, how does one make the cow go were we wish?"

"Well, petunia is very obedient and calm cow. She will let you tie a rope to her neck and lead her. The tricky part would be to find her. She might be anywhere, and i only hope she is alive. As for the butter, sure let's have a taste. If you have bread you will need nothing else, my butter is very rich in taste."

"Ok, I feel better. Where did you leave the cow again, Seth?" 
Tharanau is ready to head out and retrieve the animal.

"I'll come with you. I think I remember," says Tryn.

It takes you nothing more than an easy stroll along the road to get back to petunia. You find cow where you left it and fetch with ease. When Alfonse sees her his eyes water up. You witness him hugging petunia for far longer than any of you would expect. He then turns back to you, wipes his face with a sleeve and says:

"We had a good thing going here at the ranch. Damn those orcs. Good people died. We will fall back to Phandalin for know, but if i had not mine petunia with me i would not be able to get back here. I intend to come back. Thank you kind travelers for help. Here i have got something for you. As this picture shows i am a little to old to live on whims of an old warrior i used to be. This will be of more use to you and will still probably profit our community more this way."

Alfonse presents to you Mithral Chain Mail as a token of gratitude for his life saved and his means to make a living (petunia).

It is still before midday, around 11:00 am.

"That is a mighty nice reward that you offer to us, mister Big Al. Thank you! Do you think we should escort you back to Phandalin? I mean the road these days is perilous, perhaps more so than ever. There's been dragon sightings, a manticore roaming the hills and orcs scavenging the surroundings. We thought to head into the woods north of here but if you prefer we can accompany back to Phandalin to make sure you get there safe and sound. What'd you say?"

Well, when you put it that way, that would be much appreciated to have you with me. I will be ready to leave tomorrow i would like to still wait for the horses if they are willing to come back, and i need some time to rest and pack up my things. Of course i could wait a day or two if that would be more convenient to you.

“You happen to know where we can find an old shrine south of Conyberry? We heard rumors and would like to check it out. We could do that while you prepare and then leave together. That would work for you?”

Goraseth agrees with Tryn "It is a very nice gesture of you. I will make good use of this chain mail, I promise. I would be happy to go back to the village with you."
He then adds: "We can wait a day or two, there is no rush."

Oh i heard of that place, but never did it occurred to me to visit, you see old ruins often attracts either monsters or bandits. I stay clear of looking for such places. However i am not surprised that you are interested. You probably also heard the story of the gold that conyberry's folks hid there. From what i heard it is not far from Conyberry and a dirt road from there leads to it.

By the description.. does it sounds like the place where we were ?
