Oh, I forgot that the Oathbow grants advantage on attacks. I feel like Lord Akkron would probably have remembered that the Oathbow grants its user unerring aim, so I guess I'll just give Roxo advantage on his next attack/ability check/saving throw then.
So the GDD has already used two of its legendary resistances and is probably very angry at Akkron and Roxo... which is good as part of the plan was to draw the dragon's attention so it wouldn't be able to blast the entire ground team with its Cataclysmic Breathe.

And it looks like everyone is still hanging on... now it's Akkron's turn... and this is exactly what he was waiting for. The undead dragon has been beaten down, befuddled, and frightened. It is in no position to resist...
"You are MINE!" Akkron says angrily to the GDD. "And I command you... to BOW!"
Akkron uses the 14th-level Necromancer class-feature Command Undead. The GDD must make a DC 22 (or 19, if you aren't factoring in the +3 boost from his arcane grimoire) Charisma save or be permanently under Akkron's control. Should it succeed on the saving throw in spite of having no CHA bonus and Bane, then Akkron will simply use silvery barbs to make it re-roll the save.
Once the GDD is under his control, Akkron will have everyone stand back... he explained previously to all of them that he could bring the GDD under his control to use against the other Dragon Lords, and he really doesn't want his companions to tear it to pieces once it is enslaved to his will.

Command Undead Starting at 14th level, you can use magic to bring undead under your control, even those created by other wizards. As an action, you can choose one undead that you can see within 60 feet of you. That creature must make a Charisma saving throw against your wizard spell save DC. If it succeeds, you can't use this feature on it again. If it fails, it becomes friendly to you and obeys your commands until you use this feature again. Intelligent undead are harder to control in this way. If the target has an Intelligence of 8 or higher, it has advantage on the saving throw. If it fails the saving throw and has an Intelligence of 12 or higher, it can repeat the saving throw at the end of every hour until it succeeds and breaks free.
The greater death dragon attempts to save with advantage and using bane. Gaius already has an 8, 9 Portent in the "chamber" GDD, against Command Undead, Advantage due to Intelligence of 11, permanent due to Indolence less than 12, Charisma Save DC 22 vs 20 minus 3
The haggard party looks on in horror as the evil huge undead dragon actually bows down to Lord Akkron.
Reggie cries out, "Nooo, but why?"
Commander Bernard turns around, "Did we trust you too quickly? Lord Akkron, are you friend or foe. Commanding undead is not virtuous. Under your control? I'm a little confused, because I wanted to think you could control this, thing but now I understand, you are a Necromancer."
Gaius grabs at Tali's staff, looking over his shoulder at Lord Akkron bathed in a Necromantic Aura, "Quick. Hurry. Heal me already."
"I came into this world to do what others could not," he says somberly. "I believe I explained this before, but death dragons lose much of themselves in the transformation, a deficiency that makes them relatively easy to control if you know how. I felt that the creature would be too useful to destroy when I have the skill necessary to put it to better use. Let me be clear; the first dragon lord that we faced, the White Dragon, was almost certainly the weakest of the dragon lords. There are four more, each stronger and more clever than the last, which still need to be faced. We need to use every resource at our disposal if we wish to defeat all of them. Perhaps it could even be considered a form of justice to force this creature to fight against the dragon lords, but my greatest concern is doing whatever is in my power to protect the lives of those who would follow me into battle. And using this creature as a shield seems to me a way to massively tilt the odds in our favor."
(Note: I don't think any of the others would realistically know the difference between using Command Undead and casting dominate monster, except maybe Wizard Gaius)

* Use the Sending stones. Reggie has two different Sending Stones that will call Juno. * Horses, light provisions, 3 days to Bog Hole, another 5 days to Diamond City * Riding one Huge dragon and one Large dragon, 4 days to Diamond City * Teleportation, other modes of travel * On foot, by roads, 6 days to Bog Hole, 10 days to Diamond City * Do something else
We'll go ahead and call Juno on the sending stones first to let the Defenders know that we're coming with a "live" Greater Death Dragon so that they don't immediately assume that it's going to destroy everything as soon as they see it. Then we're going to use the fast travel option and use the Dragon Express to Diamond City. Though it may be best to leave the dragons outside rather than bring them into the city.
