Those few who are still at camp hear a horn announcing the arrival of a visitor. A well-armored carriage pulls up, flanked on every side by cavaliers in strikingly ornate plate-mail armor. One of the tribe's elders goes out to meet them. The carriage stops, and out steps a young man in formal attire. He unrolls a scroll and calls out, "I come on behalf of Magistrate Atius, regional governor, and loyal servant of his Imperial Majesty Liore. Let it be known that his majesty owns these lands, and has authorized Magistrate Atius to tax any whose cattle graze in his fields."
The elder shakes his head. "These fields have long belonged to no one, which is why we pasture here."
"Times have changed, wise one," said the herald. "His Imperial Majesty has taken this land under his control, and expects that anyone who seeks to dwell within his domain will contribute to his growing empire. Emperor Liore seeks to bring peace to the world, and those who refuse to obey him threaten us all with war. Thus it is written."
The herald climbed back into the carriage, and he and his entourage moved to leave.
The elder gathered the warriors, hunters, and mystics of the tribe together. "A wise man always seeks counsel from those around him, and thus I come to you with this dilemma. This Emperor Liore is expanding his reach across the land. Our days of roaming free across the plains may be coming to an end. So, what do we do? Do we seek other pastures? Do we stand and fight for these fields? Or do we pay the Emperor's tax, and thus surrender our freedom?"

Esseer raises a hand and says "We have settled here for mere months, but in that time I and many others have found the beauty worth defending in this place, and our efforts to create this harmonious village cannot be fruitless. Our right to roam is ours, and no price can be placed upon it, so it is unjust and wrong to pay to maintain it. Equally so, if we leave these lands, the word will spread. How many other lords will push us out of the land they claim to be theirs in the future, just because they believe that we will bend to their will as we did with tyrants in the past? The only option we have is to fight for our people, our freedom and our land? Who is with me?"
The displacer beast avoids some attacks but the adept killer of Zaupu lands both of his attacks on his beast. They seem eager to take your meat from you.

"I agree with Esseer," says the half-orc, rattling her halberd in the air. "These are our herds. Our people. Not Emperor Liar's!"she spits out the deliberate mispronunciation. "How large are his forces? Would we need to rally the other tribes?"
[[ @Nico / Zelock For Find Steed the elk seems more thematic but the warhorse stat block is better. (More hp, AC, speed.) May I reflavor a warhorse as an elk? Looking at the elk stat block, the ram ability with charge is very similar to the warhorse's charge. And, as far as I can see, there wouldn't be any unforeseen mechanical benefits to an elk-skinned warhorse. ]]
Harbek makes 3 shortsword attacks against displacer beasts No. 3 (action, extra attack, bonus action), and I believe they are not made with disadvantage because Thokk has already hit it multiple times (correct me if I’m wrong).
Harbek casts 2nd level cure wounds on Thok.
Thok regains 12 hit points.

1st attack: 15 (7+8); damage: 15 (3+5+7(colossus slayer))
2nd attack: 17 (9+8); damage: 7 (2+5)
3rd attack: 17 (9+8); damage: 10 (5+5)
32 piercing damage total.
Harbek will then flank around (trying not to provoke opportunity attacks), so that he is on the opposite side of displacer beast 3 to Thokk.

With the vicious attacks, the Displacer beast was attacked by Thokk and Harbek looks bloody but still eager to attack.
