As the boulder narrowly misses Captain Sparhawk, crashing into the wall and causing a mild tremor in the cavern, causing 5 boulders, nearly as large as the one that hit the wall, to fall from the ceiling, raining on the stone floor in a series of thuds, leaving small craters in which they rest.
The boulder that colloded with the wall unfurls, twisting incomprehensibly into a vaguely humanoid shape and raises its arms menacingly. The one that missed Kos, (though, without steiking a wall,) likewise contorts into the form of a humanoid, while the one that strikes Tess remains a apherical shape.
<still round 1. Players are up, whether youve rolled above or below 12 initiative. Sparhawk has poated actions, all other players, please post now>
Kos takes a step back away from the creature with his hands still held out in front of him.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
As the first of the boulders uncoils into a humanoid form, Gharzun’s eyes narrow beneath his helm.
“They are bound constructs—reactive, not mindless. Assume no mercy.”
With practiced efficiency, he surges forward across the stone-strewn floor, warhammer raised high. The moment he closes the distance with the nearest animate, he brings the hammer down in a sharp, downward strike, using the creature’s own forward momentum against it.
Without pause, he pivots into a second swing, twisting his hips and bringing the warhammer around in a brutal horizontal arc.
“Fall to vigilance!”
OOC to DM:
Attack 1: To hit = 17, Damage = 9 bludgeoning
Attack 2: To hit = 17, Damage = 11 bludgeoning
Even as stone chips scatter from the impact sites, Gharzun shifts his shield forward and casts a glance toward Kos.
“If it responds in words, I’ll listen. Until then—assume hostile intent.”
DC 16 DEX save or take 9 acid damage (if there is another rock creature within 5 feet of my target I can also target them with the same spell).
"Thanks for the heads up Gharzun!"

(Based on map, proximity for acid splash allows for 2 creatures to be hit, both taking damage. My positioning of tokens for pcs is pretty arbitrary, so lwts say Sparhawk's defense maneuver is effective, regardless of what the distance on the map appears to be)
The rock creatures near them slam Gharzun and Sparhawk, respectively (R1xGar 16, R2x Sp 22 each for 19 bludgeoning and causes prone) , while the third monster waves his hands at a pair of boulders, newly fallen from the ceiling and mutters something (they're speaking Terran, so if anyone can understand Elemental, please say so) and the boukders begin to stir. The pair fling themselves at Tess and Kos.
<hard to describe, but the fact that they have a clear runway to bowl at them gives them exrra damage and prone. That's why it wasn't the case for sparhawk who moved on initiative before the rock monster in round one, ao it had to change course to reach him. So if my descriptions were perfect, you would intuit how it works. Irl: they're far from perfect, so I'm just saying it outright. >
<Players are up. If Tess shows up, or any other players from before the gap, they're all welcome to post actions>
As shards of gravel scatter from his last strike, he steps in with unwavering focus, the dull steel of his warhammer catching a brief glint of pale, otherworldly light. The runes etched along its haft begin to pulse—first faintly, then with burning purpose.
“Your shell cracks, stoneborn. Let’s see what burns beneath.”
With a brutal roar, he brings the warhammer down in a forceful vertical blow, his gauntleted hand tightening around his holy symbol as divine power flares through the strike. If it connects, the force of it is more than physical—it carries the burning judgment of the Vigilant Watchers behind it.
His follow-up strike is swift, but the stone floor, now littered with debris and slick dust, shifts beneath his footing. His angle is off. The hammer slams into the ground with a sharp *clang*, jarring through his arm.
“Tch... correction noted.”
OOC to DM:
Attack 1: To hit = 24, Damage = 7 bludgeoning
Smite (if attack hits): Spending one 3rd-level spell slot for Divine Smite = 19 radiant damage
"Maybe if we kill the original rock creature the others will stop!"
Kos isn't sure if what he just said will work but even if it doesn't it should at least leave the other rocks without their leader.

(Reaction: Interception: reduce damage on Tess by 10.
I rhi l Sparhawk wnded his turn at the wall. Thays why the boukder slowed to hook and spme boukders fell down. I dont think hes within 20ft of Tess.
