But the gems alone are worth 23,522.75 Stl. Kasi does not have a safe large enough to hold that kind of coin. A chest can be purchased out of the earnings that can hold up to 50,000 coins. But, you may want to consider adding a vault to your Bastion. Once a vault is build it will be able to hold up to six chests, or 300,000 coins.
Let me know if you've claimed any of these treasures for yourself. I believe Merkas already claimed the Ring of Amity.
That is a fortune. Not counting inn the value of unused magical items.
But it is utterly silly go on a mission leaving superior healing potions at home is it not?
O well...next mission we bring them along.
Yeah Merkas has the ring of Amity. He also has the scrolls of protection and all the potions: Greater(3) and superior(2) healing, elixir of health(3) , clairvoyance(5), and water breathing(1).
Is it possible to instruct Kasi to have the vault built while we’re out? We’re potentially going to need the room very soon.
Building a small vault (that holds six chests) will cost 300 Stl, and can be ready by the time you return (2-3 days). Larger vaults, with traps, sentries, teleportaion circles (to retrieve items with a ritual) can be made, and the price goes up based on the size and types of defenses and features included, but in a town as small as Santekh, you're limited by how much you can built out. The second tier vault (with traps and passwords) goes for 1000 Stl. A vault stronghold costs nearly as much as a Bastion at 25k Stl, and really... the sky's the limit on pricing. You could build an interdimensional stronghold that can only be accessed with the blood of a Tier 4 guild member if you wanted. Depends on how distrusting you are of your community. But it's something to think about if you expand your influence to larger cities, especially if you start storing truly dangerous stuff... like idk... really, really cursed weapons or books that demons hunt, or a kinda fragile tooth that could unleash a fiend so horrific that even the Four Horsemen get nervous around them if it gets broken.
In the meantime, consider your basic vault ready by the time you return. It will be solid and heavy, so it wouldn't be easy to break into by nonmagical means, and each chest therein could easily be locked as well... I mean... the chests are wooden, so any impatient Barbarian or level 1 Rogue automatically knows how to pick that lock, but the average Commoner or Bandit would probably not bother. Would you prefer a key to your vault, or a combination?
I'll remove the above listed items from Kasi's inventory. Plus, I missed a few items, so I'll update Kasi's money to reflect that. Remember, gold equals Stl in her inventory, because I don't know how to rebrand that.
Also, I noticed I missed a few things when I was updating your inventory. I added 5k to your Stl reserves to balance it out.
The next part of this has a high encounter probability, due to the fact that your marching towards highly cursed lands, it's a dangerous wasteland crawling with DA soldiers, and you're pretty much all carrying something that's got the attention of otherwordly evil at this point. So get ready!
But I just found out that I've got to hustle today. So I'll post later.
My ass is being thoroughly kicked this week. Compound that with insomnia and fainting spells, and it's been extra rough to get anything done. But I'm here and will update the game. I may have to do it in shifts, because I have some important phone calls and six loads of laundry to do, but I will begin the process now.
I did a quick investigation check to see if I recognized anyone/anything. I’m gonna say that a “3” is a no, lol. The intimidation roll was an accident, sorry about that.

I always forget to check the dice logs anyway. So unless the roll result is announced, I generally don't respond to it. 😅
Normally a 3 is gonna get you some info, even if it's not highly accurate information. But I haven't slept a full night in 2 weeks, so let's just assume, Hastos is drawing a blank on these scoundrels. They're just generic dragon army bullies.
How high are the dunes? With mistystep I can get behind the commander on a flat surface but the elevation may change that.
Wondering if there is a way to cast two levelled spells through a feat? I seem to remember there is a way but can’t remember how right now
Using a feat requires a skill check. It has to be something your species/class combos are capable of doing. Otherwise, the DC is 10 (+1 for every prerequiste aside from species/class combo requirements that you don't currently meet). So, lets say you want to use the feat Actor. The starting DC is 10.
The prerequisites are:
Level 4+ (you meet that prerequisite, so no DC penalty)
Charisma 13+ (you meet that prerequiste, so no DC penalty)
DC to use Actor = 10.
But let's say you wanted to use the feat Archery. The starting DC is still 10.
The prerequites are:
Fighting Style Feat (DC penalty +1)
DC to use Archery = 11.
If however, you wanted to use Elven Accuracy, you do not meet the Species requirements, and could not use the feat regardless of your roll results.
Very few feats will have a DC above 13. I did that to make the feats a low-risk gamble, but still attainable at any level. It's a flat d20, so you have a 50% or lower chance to use the feat. But failing at the feat does not make you lose your turn. It just means you can't use the feat that turn. So roll your feat dice before posting your actions. You can attempt to use a feat every turn if you wish. And it doesn't always have to be the same feat, which gives you a wide variety of combat and RP options, and allows you to play around with feats you normally wouldn't bother with, because their uses are so specific.
The dunes are about 15' high and are difficult terrain. Loose sand is pretty hard to walk up or down.
I think the new combat initative works out nicely. it speeds up combat for sure.
Now if an attack is "wasted" on someone who was already defeated the DM can just use the roll and slihgtly alter the narrative to have the attack go to next in line.
Or something else that is smart to do
I have no issues the DM take over the character for an action that seems very natural for the charactar to do.
eks the henchman was killed by Hastos attack but I not know that and "wasted" an attack on him too. If the DM say I push on nad use my attack on next one in line instead it be fine
That is one of the problems of this type of initiative. And it's more problematic when using maps with terrain.
I'll be honest, it's not my favorite way to play, but I grew up on turn-based RPGs... not action MMOs. So everyone flailing at the targets all at once can sometimes cause me confusion... and I may accidentally post my turn before everyone else has taken theirs, or not post my turn at all until someone prods me and is like... HEY! We're done! 😅
As long as we're all patient with each other and flexible about what kinds of liberties I may have to take with your characters' actions with this combat style, I think we'll be fine. But don't forget to call me out if I skip someone's turn, or miss a turn someone took. My brain is not very high functioning these days. It feels like mashed potatoes up there. So, there's a high likelihood I'll goof up. But I can take criticism, and I'm eager to fix my mistakes.
In Hastos's case, the Cleave wouldn't be possible to adjust anyway. If his goal is to protect Barkly with melee attacks, he'd pretty much have to be where he is, and Cleave only works if there's another opponent in melee. If I understand correctly, the next opponent has to be within 5' of your first opponent, and Blue is all alone after Sera turned Black into a shishkebab.
So, I think in this case, the Cleave attack simply didn't happen. You can make a second attack with your Javelin though, and fling it at Teal or Green. Since Teal has unfettered access to Orr the Unseen, Buckeran, and Barkly now (and he's bloodied, so low damage could still do the trick), he seems like the most obvious target for a defender type. Since the javelin has to be thrown, it will not be usable again until you retrieve it. MrUncleTio if you disagree with this tactic, please let me know as soon as possible, once the new round is started, it'll get too messy to retcon anything.
Also, if your dive roll is fluff only (cool visual description, btw) then it automatically succeeds. But I'll take this time to remind you that you can use Athletics or Acrobatic checks to gain Advantage in your attacks. Not that you needed it for this round... but if you might want to do some Spetsnaz style combat in the future to gain an extra roll with your attacks, the DC varies based on terrain, cover during movement, and movement limits, but tends to waggle between 5 and 15. In this case, with DAS dropping like flies and a thrashing Giant Strider giving you some amount of cover, I would've put the DC at 10. Desert sand is still not an ideal terrain to attempt gymnastics, but Blue has a lot going on right now. Just FYI.
Teal and green are both now engaged with Merkas and Barkly. So not so unfettered.
The shear volume of info between turns does lead to things being missed without a lot of cross reference, I have multiple tabs open to keep track of all the abilities, feats, tactics, and movement available for a turn. Gets worse when the posts cross to a new page. Overall though it is nice from an RP and pacing standpoint.

Felt! 😆The minimum amount of tabs I have open when I check The Beyond is three: Campaign Notes, OOC, IC. But I also have my spreadsheets (x3), rules tabs (x1-3), Monster tabs (x2-4), a dicerolling app (so I can roll behind the screen), and PostImages. I also have PhotoPea open and usually some kind of image generator, lore tabs, map tabs... It's a huge part of why I prefer not to play live unless I'm running a module. With all this data I cross-reference, decisions tend to take a while. I want to be fair with the rules adjudication, and my mind is a jumbled mess of 3E, 4E, and 5E rules, so I can't always remember which rule came from which. To limit confusion, I do a lot of reading before I make a decision. And I also want to create verisimilitude within the story. So very little of my campaign setting is actually homebrewed. I trust in the lore, and build my scenarios from canonized events.
It makes my brain itchy that the Green Dragon Army is invading the desert of all places. It should be the Blue or Red Dragon Army. But that's the lore. Setting-wise, Khur is analagous to ancient Persia. Not a lot of boggy swampland over there where a green dragon would thrive. So to make it all feel real, I dive deep. Sometimes a two paragraph post can take 3-4 hours to update. I've never actually run a Dragonlance game, but I've built several games in Dragonlance for 3E that never really went anywhere, and they were built with Prestige Classes actively included into the plot line, which isn't really a thing anymore. They also don't work well in this setting, because a lot of them happened before much of the lore changed. So just because I think I know something about Dragonlance doesn't mean I'm right about it. I've done more reading and research for this campaign than I have since I was a newbie back in 2010! 😆
The green flame around him flashes and disappears along with Merkas, reappearing on the south side of soldier teal.
I messed up and didn’t put in that merkas had used misty step to get beside teal, not throw his daggers.
AH! Ok, I'll fix that. The wording seemed strange, and I interpretted it as the fire sort of changed locations... as fire tends to do when it spreads. The deed is done either way, and you can presume the daggers are securely in your grip. Incidentally, the javelin that Hastos threw is next to you.

Sorry Sera, Merkas meant he was going to cast the darkness over us, to make the whole of the enemy unable to attack effectively.

They still arttack us and just attack normal. Misty step needs " ...to a space you can See"
I think that is no point cast over us
