It’s all good. Everyone is reacting as they see fit, funny thing about this forum PBP is that more than one person can be reacting without the others knowing so we are getting some authentic interactions as we don’t know what others are thinking.
My son is recording his drum video now that Spring Break has started, which is, at least, an all day project that requires multiple laptops (mine included), so I might not be able to post until later this evening.
He looks so friggin cool right now though! He's doing Embrace by APG. I'll share some pics when I have my lappy back.☺️
When I calculated your XP, it factored in that some of you are counting as Level 5 and some are counting as Level 3. I don't think that affected your XP (it's not supposed to) but I thought I'd let you know. It's not like you're starving for XP at the moment. But it was worth noting.
Up to you if you want to collect the loot. But if you leave it with them, they can bring the weapons with them. If they have some way to restore their HP, it could make them a threat later on. If you do take their weapons, it will count against your encumbrance. Which reminds me:
Hrothbert_Neruca consider each gemstone you took as 1 coin in weight.
I gave the sale value, not the resale value, of the equipment you find. Their resale value is dependent on Persuasion, Intimidation, or Deception checks, and defaults at half value. Losing the diplomacy checks by grants the vendor the upper hand, and they'll haggle you below half value. Since they have no magical properties, they are of no interest to Buckeran, but the Santekh council is stockpiling weapons and would be interested in purchasing anything you bring back that is in good shape.

Updated the Sapphire weights. Merkas is going to drop the weapons down the chute unless someone else wants some of them, He's taking 3 daggers to use as thrown weapons.
Pretty sure Merkas was skipped at the end of round 2 but no big Deal his Gramma Kasi finished off the last enemy.
I posted the held spell Colour Spray faded due to not being used from one turn to the next, Dancing Lights was intended to stay up. Sorry for the confusion.

And I guess by definition it's dropped more than once cause it has a 1 minute duration but being a cantrip Merkas unconsciously recasts it
I noticed my Title has been updated to (Perfect) which felt a little too fancy for me. 😅 So I changed it to Keeper, which was the closest I could find to Dungeon Master, which seems a much more fitting title. I very rarely play as a PC. Even when I do, it's usually as a DMPC, which I tone down to not overshadow the rest of the party.
At this point, I don't even think I could overshadow a party for that matter. I've played as a DM for so long, that I don't even know how to optimize a character anymore.
Also, I've been trying to come up with a cute term for playing DND on DnDBeyond. In Giant in the Playground, I always said "I'm going to the playground!" Which doesn't work for this site. Finally, I decided on "Communing with the Beyond" which sounds like I'm doing magical shit. Which, to be frank, is very appropriate. 😁
Haha!, I used to wear very similar glasses! Excellent album covers, BTW!!
He's not there yet, but he does have plans. He's already started writing songs with mixing software and knows basic music literacy. I'm teaching him intermediate music theory and song composition this summer, so he'll be able to write sheet music and full scores, if he wants. He's also been working on a band logo, and hopes to either start or join a band this summer as well, so they can write songs together, and he can record them and produce the music videos. Next year, he'll be starting High School, and while his music literacy skills need work, he's already ahead of the curve with technique and skill, and has won multiple awards for his music proficiency.
When he was younger, he used to go full glam for his videos: wigs, wild costumes, make-up, the works. My spouse is an amateur drag artist and inspired a lot of his early looks. But as he's entered his teens, he's starting to reinvent his style, taking visual (and musical) influences from rock, punk, goth, metal, and EDM. He's a cool kid, and wildly popular in his class. Every time I go to his school or one of his events, he's surrounded by a crowd. We can't get through a room without multiple kids stopping us to greet him and talk to him. It's pretty cool! 😁 I was much more awkward as a kid. I preferred my solitude and brooding. 😅 So angsty.
The fart blows out of Sharn's ass so hard it launches him into the air like a rocket, and he falls down the tunnel leading to the next floor! 😄
Ok, between setting up the bodies, lighting a fire, discussing where to go, and exploring the second floor, you've covered about 30 minutes time in-game. What's next for our bold adventurers?
Always a danger going too deep too fast and leaving hordes of enemies behind us. Might give us trouble if we really need too withdraw or an alarm goes off. We be trapped with enemies on two sides.
Same time it is tempting take shortest route to the big boss.
But the lost crates might not be in the throne room but around level 2 seems logical. Its a storage level..
I suggest we keep focus on finding and getting the crates out and home. Take with us some to interrogate. Then return to take out the kobold tribe. With that 10 foot pole.
I agree in part, but if we leave they might be ready with new shenanigans and better battle formations. I agree with the part of not rushing to the last level, but if we take out their evil overlord, they might just surrender.
Yeah we 100% could, and probably should. I wonder which one of the characters will have the foresight tho. Sharn can sortta track and find, but he's not much of a trap tinkerer. At least not yet, might try to skill monkey it up depending on how things go.
So Merkas is a 12 Int and has a +6 stealth with proficiency but his biggest downfall is he doesn't have darkvision so in these dark caves he has to give himself away with a light in order to move around, hence the dancing lights they give him at least rudimentary dark vision. Hearing that there is a light below is a good thing for him because the dancing lights won't stand out if there are other lights.
Merkas is chaotic neutral for sure and taking things is right up the kender motif, but the group did just give the kobold the knocked out a speech about not being here to take anything other than what they came here for. But thing taken from defeated attackers are free game.

Are you casting Dancing Lights again? You posted in combat that it faded away when you were talking to Kasi.

But so will we. We will be prepared with fitting equipment, spells and maybe reinforcments.
But in any way moving in this trap infested area should be done with a bit of paranoia?
Like we take a sack of stones tied to a rope and toss it ahead. Then pull it back setting off pressure plates and tripwires?
Take a ladder and push it in front of us?
Roll a shield up ahead? ( Sera got a spare)

int is 9. I hope some smartass gets the ideas.
I struggle play dumb so I gonna raise my intellegence at level 4.
