Easter was a mixed bag. It started off great! My boyfriend (Monti) and my friend (Tails) who comes to visit in the morning hung out with me while I let my son and spouse sleep in. We had a ton of great conversation, and I cooked a hearty and delicious omellete for Tails, and we sat around sipping coffee. 🥰
But my spouse overslept and Thomas's auntie (Madison) ran several hours late. Madison was going to cook a meal (which is always an honor. She's a professional chef) and hide the eggs. My spouse was upset about missing most of the day because they had to go to work within a few hours of waking up, so the mood got very stressful. Tails left, and Monti went to his room while Madison and I tried to calm my spouse down while my son searched for the eggs. Madison is notorious for hiding eggs so well that even she can't find them! It was 9 eggs. It took three hours to find them all. 😆
Once my spouse went off to work and Thomas finished finding the eggs ($15 in quarters, and a treasure trove of candy) we jammed together. Madison plays guitar, I play bass, and Thomas is scary talented on the drums. It's something we used to do every week, and I really missed it. It was the most fun I've had all year! Thomas didn't want to bring out the drums, so he just provided the vocals. He's a decent singer too, and could be really good if he decided to train for it. Sometimes we swapped instruments so Thomas could get on the guitar. His skills on the guitar are rudimentary, but Rocksmith auto-adjusts for skill-level, so he was able to keep up and have a good time. Then we ate Madison's delicious meal, drank wine (Thomas had a Dr. Pepper, so close enough for a 14 year old) and reminesced about good times. Then, when Madison left, Monti came out to nibble on the leftovers while he, Thomas, and I watched West Side Story together. Thomas plays Riff in an upcoming play and wanted context for the character, and I'm a sucker for a musical.
I would've like to have spent a good day with everyone together, but we made the best of a stressful situation and had a good time nonetheless. I guess an inextrcable part of family gatherings will always be drama. 🤷♀️
Yea. Seems to be the case with family. Aside from my mom.and her husband, I avoid trips back to Arkansas. Mostly due to vast differences of opinions on... well, nearly everything. LOL.
Sounds like you made the most of the day despite a bump or two in the road. And another great memory for Thomas.
Thank you. I feeling rather profetic right now but maybe the party will try find a way to desttoy that damn Scythe. Like having Buckeran " safekeep " it proved worthless.
Shall we try ask Buckeran how to destroy it? Maybe we need to carry it to a vulcano and throw it in...while Tekel stalk us wanting his precious back? And Hastos gets corrupted and try steal it on the way while Merkes gets kidnapped by orcs and ....hmmm sounds familiar...
The whole town is active right now with almost 200 residents. New shops are open, Bucky and Verhanna are waiting, quests are available, RP is available, and of course, Glynnis and Handar are looking forward to seeing you again.
I would like have a few days downtime so we reach a few goals / training then ask Buckeran what is next adventure. Or something happens that force us to take actions.
Since fancy dress isn't in your inventories, you'll need to seek a tailor, or someone who peddles garments. There are many new settlers and refugees in town, and I sure you can find one who has some finery they're willing to part with for some coin, or barter with for some services. Shopping trip later?
Sera hunt around feor a blue gown nothing to decorative. Pretty but she is no noble so she only wear a symbol of Paladine ....she is prepared to pay 15 steel for it..

Character: Hastos, Ibahalii Vriwhulth, the Reaper of Glory v2: IC Thread
I feel like a popstar...but making water in a desert is a winning trick I hope
Agreed, your timing worked well. Tekel has a reckoning coming though...

I'm gonna give you Heroic Inspiration for that, Larskolstad. It certainly inspired me!

;)
Hastos will watch Tekel very closely in the even he tries anything. (Perception 16).
Character: Hastos, Ibahalii Vriwhulth, the Reaper of Glory v2: IC Thread
Very good question to Buckeran...why a thief let him live
Who suspect Tekel crash our party?
In followong wsys.
1. Pick a fight
2. Call the alarm and kill some "enemy." Like agitating the Strider so it runs havok.
3. Start a fire
4 Steal the crates
5. Blame us for murder
6. Open the gates to the Dragonarmy
( I should stop giving the DM ideas...)
*takes notes* "OOH that's a good one..." 😆
So, where are we going?

I still like to go find a brass dragons lair...
Well nows about the time to settle accounts with Verhana and then to the Dancing Dwarf
Loyalty Begets Honour
Yea, maybe a couple of days will be enough to let Kasi remove the dragons from Hastos’ armor? Maybe make it a little shinier than Tekels’. LOL!

Good luck getting Merkas to wear any suit right now

No, but Sera mentioned dressing up, as did Sharn, I believe. If you want to scrub off the grime and look fancy tonight, it is an option.
