This for the boss? Better take the vintage bottle. He likes his pewter goblet as well. He hands Exa a small silver tray, an unopened bottle and gleaming goblet. Do you want me to open that?
"Looking forward to your performance now."The alluring white-haired tiefling says discreetly to her accomplice beside her at the bar. "Perhaps I should wait outside his office while you put him to rest. We don't want anyone disturbing him." She adds quietly as they start heading back.
"That's fine, I got it," Rubi says to the barman. "Thanks!"
She tilts her head away from the bar to indicate to Delilah they should step away.
She says quietly out the corner of her mouth, "Yep. And be ready in case the potion doesn't work. We might have to take him out the old-fashioned way."
She heads off with Delilah towards Quentin's office.
Once they arrive at the head honcho's office, Exa looks to the others to see if there are any objections. If there are none, she'll knock to get Quentin's attention.
Right before dipping into the office, Exa slipped the potion into the Dragon Crush. Then she pushed the door open with her shoulder, carefully nursing the drink so as not to spill it.
"A Dragon Crush for you, boss. Vintage. Only the best."
Good morning Rubi. It's a bit early for me but we are celebrating after all. He leans down and liberates a small crystal goblet from a nearby display case.
Here join me for good luck! He then proceeded to pour the Dragons Crush. He held his pewter goblet up to see the dark red wine, then gulps the wine back. Long night for me. I'll drink this then seek my bed. The copper slots sound busy. A good opening I think.
(DM, The first goblet of wine doesn't seem to have effect, con sav) the second goblet however has him yawning and his head falls to his chest, a mixture of true fatigue and the potion. He slumps in the chair and begins to gently snore.
Exa's heart races as Quentin seems to resist the potion. Her fingers dance near the pommel of her blade in case she needs to take him out the old-fashioned way, but then his head lolls forward and she breaths a sigh of relief.
She pokes her head out the door to Adrian and Delilah and gives them a wink to say it's done. She waves them in.
Adrian enters the room and makes for Quentins desk. Exa can you check his pockets without waking him up? I'm too heavy handed.
He tries to open the left hand drawer but it is locked or just genuinely stuck. He sighs loudly and reaches into his collar for his thieves tools. Crouching in front of it he sees a small lock hidden by the knot in the wood. The top draw holds a red candle, a quill, a jar of red ink, a few sheets of parchment, a few envelopes, a tiny glass key for the cabinet holding the statue, a copper ring with Quentins seal, and a velvet pouch containing 25GP. Adrian looks carefully at the small glass key then handed it to Exa, you'll need this for the door of the cabinet, the pass card nullifies the arcane trap on it the key opens the door.
The bottom draw has a small lock that looks gnomish. Adrian tried to unlock it and broke his small pick. Exa you'll have to unlock this I just broke my small pick on it

Adrian sighed in relief as he sees Lilith join Exa at the bar. He'd been worried about her and the elementals. He should have known better.
He watched as the barman talked to the two of them
Exa
"All taken care of," Rubi says confidently.
"Just getting a drink for the boss, now."
She turns to the barman with a toothy grin. "One Dragon Crush, please. Make it a good one."

Do you want my help in there in case the potion isn't enough?
Exa
"You two wait near the door. Don't worry, if the potion doesn't work, I'll let you know," Exa said with a determined nod.
"If too many people go in, he might get suspicious."
No problem, says Adrian

Well do come in, I can see your shadow under the door!

He pours himself another goblet full.
Exa
"To a good, profitable day ahead!" Rubi toasts to Quentin's good fortune.
"We'll take good care of the place while you take a well-deserved break."
She watches him with a keen eye to see whether the potion is taking effect.
