Brammuth hands 5 SP to Chelle, playing into the bit for some fun: "Oh hey Chelle, thank you so much....you wouldn't happen to have a twin sister, about this tall would you?" He gestures with his hand to the side them same height as Kjelle."
"Oh, hang on... lemme get her really quick..." Kjelle then ducks underneath the desk, then pops back out from underneath with a pair of mustache glasses. It's more than clear that she's just Kjelle to everyone except for Jed, who I'll need to roll an intelligent check to figure it out. Kjelle then says "Hallo, my name's Chelle, I'm in charge of the housing here. There're four of you, right? That'll be 20 silver, or 2 gold if that's simpler," she says in an exaggerated accent.
Intelligence check 1
Jed jumps a bit shocked there’s other people living in the desk/podium. As the others pay Jed’s insight picks up on something…(insight 25) but rather then ask he plays along taking a cue from Brammuth.
”Maybe you have two sisters and one is really big.” Jed holds his hand up to his chin height. Then he digs out 2 silver and 2 copper and sets them on the desk/podium, with a wink.
"Chelle" laughs at that, and shakes her head, taking off the disguise. "Don't worry don't worry. It's just me. Sorry, that's a little thing I like to do. Haven't been able to use my disguise kit since I retired, so I figured I should use it whenever I got the chance." Then she counts the coins, and looks up at Jed. "Uh... this isn't going to be enough, big guy..."

He/Him. I am the DM, you are the player. You make the mistakes and I decide the consequences. Now, with that being said - Are you SURE you want to cast Fireball?
Kellen reaches and pulls 2 gold and hands them over “You wouldn’t happen to have a sister working here would you I saw someone who looks like you just now” smiling why saying it
She takes the gold with a smile. "Yeah, sure, we'll say that." She winks.

Jed is interested to see the quest board. He has a difficult time reading though, “D’Kon Brammuth or Jasmine could we talk about the available quests? Thank you for paying the gold for our rooms D’Kon, I’ll buy our drinks tonight. How many owl people can be in that desk do you think?” Jed still looks a little confused about Kjelle’s trick, even though she revealed herself (Intelligence check was a 1 lol).
So, do you want to go check out the quest board, or do you want to go to your rooms?

As you all approach the quest board, the first thing you notice is a bunch of adventurers from different parties fighting over quests. There's a tearing of paper as a Jerbeen and a couple of Sprites' ill-advised tug of war with a quest ends exactly how one would think. You can vaguely hear Kjelle cursing under her breath as she types away on her typewriter. Regardless, as you push your way to the quest board, one thing jumps out to you - most of the quests are mundane E rank quests: "Help me repair my broken fence", "Help me gather herbs", "My kitty is lost", stuff like that.
If you want a more exciting quest, please roll an investigation check

"I am not opposed to a Herb gathering quest...it at least allows us to get a sense of what we can reliably find here for remedies and the link. I would though like to see what monsters are plaguing the surrounding areas." says Brammuth
D’Kon scans the board looking for a quest that’s actually worth doing “These are all mundane and boring isn’t there anything worth doing something exiting?”
Jasmine adds, "Fixing someone's fence and finding someone's cat would be something I would not mind doing. I came here so I could help people. Glory and prestige are not important to me."
As you search the quest board for anything more interesting, you find a C Ranked quest titled "Exterminate the nearby Bullywug Kingdom". This issue with this one is that the reward offered is freakishly low, a mere 5 cp per person (which is less than the E ranked quests, which offer 1 SP per person), and there's a party requirement for this quest as well: Must have at least one B ranked adventurer - Please see Kjelle at the front desk.
D'Kon:
You also find a crusty S Ranked quest tucked underneath all the other quests titled "Destroy the nest of deathly death dragons". You can tell from its appearance that it's been on the quest board for many years. You also find a D ranked quest about defeating bandits, offering 5 SP for its completion.

D’Kon looks at the quests and points to a few of them ”There’s a few quests that seem better we can take out a Bullywug kingdom and believe it or not an S ranked mission that hasn’t been touched in years or more to destroy a dragon nest. Or take out some bandits.”
Jasmine shakes her head. "I do not wish to go to war with an entire Kingdom of Bullywugs. Destruction of kingdoms, even evil ones are not quests I take lightly and not ones I am willing to rush in at this stage. Bandits on the other hand... seem more doable. Though I still wouldn't mind fixing fences and rescuing cats, depending on the exact nature of the bandits."
Brammuth stands back and ponders the board and it's options,
"My axe is better suited as a weapon than a tool for repairs, I am happy to start slow. Why not do an E & D rank to see how we fair as a party of D-tiers. Perhaps we are better than we think or it exposes our weaknesses early."

"It wouldn't hurt to take a quick look (at the quest board), maybe fortune favour's us early." says Brammuth
"Surveying the quests don't sound like a bad idea." Jasmine agrees.
Yeah let's take a look at the quest board.
Alrighty
