Thomas brings his hand above his eyes as though to shield them from the sun as he continues to gaze at the movement in the rubble.
"Miss Lebenha, your eyesight is most impressive if you can tell that from here. I can just barely make out the movement."
Thomas then turns back to to Hrain.
"Captain, as you said, this may well be a trap. I cannot think of any reason survivors from the Mielikki Garrison would not first seek shelter at one of the other towers. Even so, I doubt we can learn much more of value without taking the risk of searching the camp. And if there are survivors in need, these or others, every moment we wait to act is a moment they wait as well."

Right after Peregrines appears on top of the tower, Lyras dimmed voice can be heard from the telescope. "Lebenha is right. Someone is moving around in the ruins. Can't make out what exactly they are though. If you don't trust us casters", she says while slowly stepping back from the installation, "go and take a look yourself." She then folds her hands behind her back. "And no, i unfortunately cannot help with things like that. I've always had others provide the camouflage..." and her eyes trail off a little.
Thomas sighs slightly, then removes the amulet from around his neck and holds it out to Lyra.
"Miss Lyra, would take a look at this for a moment, please?"

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lyra snaps out of it again, her eyes focus and she seems a little surprised to see Thomas talking to her, holding out the amulet. "Oh i am sorry, i actually didn't mean to offend you this time. I understand that the very thought of leaving these wards must feel quite wrong to you, so you should better have a good reason for doing so. But we must not forget that, as you mentioned before, if those are survivors they are in grave need of any help we can offer. And if those are enemies it surely might be a trap, but even then shouldnt we try to hurry and fight them off before those ruins tell them how to disarm our defended?" She's speaking honestly and with a determined expression, but Lyra, her curiosity now awakened, doesn't decline the offer and carefully takes the jewlery to have a closer look.
OOC: Not really sure where Thomas is going with the amulet so.... not really sure how to answer those rolls! Knight want to help me out with your intentions!

"I really do appreciate that you did not mean offense. But I realize that my actions, both yesterday and this morning, might not inspire trust in my intentions. That amulet is to me, what that gem you asked to borrow yesterday is to you. While I am not entirely powerless without it, it helps to focus my faith alongside my Lady's blessings. I offer it to you, for as long as we speak here, as a physical sign of my trust. I ask only that you return it to me before we depart this room."
Thomas then turns to look at each of the other party members + Carrigan + Peregrine.
"If the empire had as much faith as it claims to, then fear of what you casters can do would not drive us to oppression as it has these past fifty years. I cannot speak for the captain, nor anyone else in this garrison, but I know in my heart that fear and misguided hate of each other is what caused this destruction. And it cannot be undone by the same."
Thomas looks once more specifically to each of the casters.
"I want you each to know, unequivocally, that I have your backs, and will do my utmost to make sure that we ALL get out of this situation alive."
Finally, Thomas speaks directly to Hrain.
"Apologies, sir. This may not have been the best time to speak so frankly, but I felt I had to get that off my chest."

For the first time in the morning the elf seems to acknowledge Thomas existence, she even ignored the comment about her sight.
She looks to him as he speaks to Lyra and before he adress Hrain she says.
”Perhaps there is hope for you after all...rest assured that I will have your back too. And if there is a trap waiting for us down there, they will find that our combined forces would be a harder bone to chew that they had expected. “
She adds to Hrain
”We also should be cautious about the survivors. Perhaps the trap is not meant to lure you outside, but to get them inside so they can lower the ward.”
"Well... isn't this all this is just making my bits all tingley," Folzi says rolling his eyes. "All these words are great, but let's see how it holds up when the scat hits the fan."
He hops down off this chair. "So how much talking are we going to do about those down there. We all seem to be in agreement that we need to get a closer look." He starts toward the door.
Peregrine shifts nervously from once foot to another after Thomas' speech. She looks tired. The party might hsve noticed she had first and third watch. What they don't know is that she was woken from a nap to address the men in the mess hall and is now feeling the fatigue of her new found responsibilities.
"Captain...I don't want to sound insubordinat but I think I need rest and should not leave the tower if you do plan on exploring beyond it. Cara and Ecton might be the assets you need but Ecton is still...well very young and inexperienced. They however will give you aid regardless of....well certain company. They others sir....regardless of orders I don't feel would protect...the whole party to the best of thier abilities," she explains. It seems to pain her to admit it too. "Shall I get Cara for you sir? She's ready and willing to help," she adds hopeful looking to Hrain for reply.
"Peregrine, do not worry, I was not going to ask you to join us, although I know how courageous you are, no instead I need you to lead here in my absence, I was not thinking to take any of the others either, I'm not sure you can spare them and Ecton is definitely too young for this. If you think you can spare Cars though I will certainly be glad of her."

The mercenary's ears perked up at the mention of the garrison's armory. An armory was to a warrior what a laboratory was to an alchemist, and Haldur was slightly curious if perhaps the Shepherds had anything they could spare that might potentially augment the party's offensive or defensive capabilities. He supposed he'd find out when the group arrived there.
Haldur shifted position to stand beside the steps that Peregrine descended, indicating that he was ready to move out but awaiting orders to do so.
Lyra stares at the amulet for a little longer, her eyes glowing. "I understand, and i, or i guess should rather say all of us," and she waves her hand to include the Folzi, Lebenha and Carrigan, " appreciate the gesture. That said, i would never demand you give up something so important for you and your faith, especially if its your main means of self defense, since i wouldn't do that either." Lyra examines the jewlery one last time before she hands it over to Thomas again. "All i wish for all of us is to survive this, so i'll have the back of anyone if necessary." She sighs. "But Folzi is right, enough with the chit chat. Lets get moving!"
Thomas accepts the returned amulet and replaces it around his neck.
"Then we understand each other."
He again turns back to Hrain.
"To the armory, Captain? And then to the tunnels? Or should we simply cross the camp above ground?"

Moving off the captain adds "While you look through the armoury and meet up with Cara I need to do something so I will meet you back there shortly. And Halberd, I mean what I say, I am not sure if you see it in yourself, but you deserve to use any of the equipment you find there, do not be shy."

Leb follows the others to the armory and if she finds any, or all of this objects, she will take them with her.
First she looks for a quarterstaff, she used to have one, beautiful sculpted by one of her druid friends using magic back in her home, but she lost it when they arrested her. Then she looks for a couple of daggers and a belt to carry one of them. In the belt she attaches the component pouch for fast recovery of them.
She also looks for a leather trousers, any kind will suffice not looking for armor, and a pair of leather boots. She also looks for a cloak.
“ Not that the weather bothers me “ she explains “ but if we are going to run into rubbish and ruins, and probably fight, just this old tunic could give me more problems... “
If she finds the boots and two daggers will stash one of them into the boot. She had never done something like that before, but one doesn’t spend years in prison without learning a trick or two.
The party then moves to the armory, minus Hrian, to look around. They find a stone-walled room with places for a wide array of armor and weaponry but sadly the room has been nearly emptied by the Sunites' gearing up of the assault whose bodies litter the ground outside the garrison's walls.
OOC: If you'd like gear I will allow an investigation roll with DCs ranging for different items. Call the item and roll. Be aware if you have gear already your DC is going to be higher than say something with no gear. I will allow Caster's 'first choice' so to speak because they have nothing in the way of armor and weapons. May the odds be ever in your favor!
