Leb roll a DC14 for your reaction to apply. Your attack with witch bolt however does hit but the Cutlist is still up, bloodied but on his feet.
Cara growls at Haldur. "They're fighting up there and you're hiding down here with your crossbow out like a coward," the young paladin screams seemingly lost all discipline being held from the fight! "MOVE," she yells as it echoes up the steps the others surely here her bellowing as well as her mashing her shield against the stone wall of the stairwell. "MOVE," she yells again furiously!
Snatching the magic out of the Cultist's mouth Lebenha proves her worth to the party but dispelling his necromantic powers and the Cultist roars in response!

"Well...so much fir that one." Folzi looks to his feet as the cultist falls at his feet with a soundless scream. He gives Carrigan a wink and then moves (K6) to the last cultist engaged with Hrain. Hoping the paladin proves to be a distraction to the cultist, the gnome tries to carve up the foe with his rapier.
Attack 10, Damage 6, SA 12
(Flanking advantage? If so, move would be to M6, and extra attack roll for advantage, 22)
Bonus action to disengage to K5 or N7, depending on flanking rule.
OOC: RAW doesn't give a clear flanking advantage but I also only think it would apply in melee not at range regardless if I did use it. I will however say a help action is the best way to give advantage but that's a FULL action for someone to pull.
Haldur's only response to the enraged paladin at his back is a slow, cold half turn of acknowledgement. His eyes glint dangerously in the dim light, and they narrow menacingly at her words. The mercenary's eyes convey his contempt for her lack of composure however, his disgust with her frantic ravings in the face of peril. Despite this, the young warrior doesn't rattle, doesn't respond beyond his half turn, and instead focuses his attention back to the unfolding battle. His movements remains smooth and steady, and with an icy calm he bounds up the steps to open the way into the room.
Movement to G9.
Once more bringing the reloaded crossbow to the ready, the mercenary sights down the weapon's length at his intended target. A steady breath in... a steady breath out... hold... and squeeze the trigger.
Attack Roll on Cultist at L7:28, Damage Roll:5, Brute:2
*Edit: Second attack/bonus action again is reloading the crossbow.*
Lyra looks around now that the battle is finished, a little ashamed of her contribution to the fight. "Well done, everyone." She then moves over to the stairs, hoping to listen in on whether any other threaths might be on their way.
Thomas takes a few seconds to quickly look over everyone for obvious injuries.

Hrain looks over the corpses both enemy and Sister, seeing a combination of spell damage and crossbow and bladework across their foes says "I think we might be capable of great things together" looking up the stairs he adds "and that might well be necessary very soon, keep your eyes sharp and yourselves ready. We may well have more enemies to face shortly.."
Moving towards the stairway he turns back to Haldur "Nice shot, I'm not going to start calling you Crossbow though" seeing Lebenha he adds "An excellent counterspell, you may have saved us from a lot more harm, I thank you."

Cara appears red faced but calming. "Next time we all move up the steps eh," she says curtly sheathing her longsword and putting her shield on her back. The young paladin then see the bodies and cries out. "No," she says rushing over to examine them. "They're....they're....so young," she adds pointing to the Sisters before balling her fists up at her sides trembling. "Who would kill....children," she then croaks noticing a child's leg sticking out from beneath a Sister's robe.

Lyra turns around to the group. She doesn't raise her voice, but you can nevertheless hear it whip through the room, the tone being pressing but determined. "More are coming! I can't tell their numbers, but it sounds like a lot." She then moves to a place at the right to get out of the line of sight from atop the stairway (like L2 or L3). "Any suggestions on what to do? All i can think of is getting out of sight and trying to trick them again."
Thomas nods at Lyra's warning. He moves up to the side of stairs leading up, opposite from Lyra, and also out of line-of-sight. His eyes flash for a second as he calls up the stairs in a slightly amplified voice.
"Shepherds, to me! We must retreat back to the tunnels!"
Action: Cast Thaumaturgy to amplify his voice before calling out. Not to full volume, but hopefully enough that the approaching forces can hear him.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lebenha nods to Hrain "That was a team effort, but I didn't want him to defile their bodies. " She look at them trying to recognize the young woman that was kind to her the morning before and hoping not to see her there ( Perception if needed 4 ) "we should burn them to avoid such things..." she says to the paladin.
When the others warn about other cultist coming down she takes a look towards the staircase and if she sees a straight staircase ( not a circular one like in a narrow tower ) she will say:
"Let me be at the archway. I will try to slow them, do not get in front of me."
Leb puts herself at the bottom of the stairs taking one step up to be at the last step for the incoming cultist. ( If I understood correctly they were upstairs ) with something in her left hand. When she sees the first cultist coming down she will raise her hand, mustering the arcane energies around her and will use the ambar cristal she has in her hand to channel the electricity into the tunnel trying to get as many cultist with her lightning as she can.
( Basically she will ready the Lightining Bolt spell when she sees the cultist going down and she cast the spell DC 15 Dex for half damage: 25 lightining damage. 100 ft range, so you can decided how many are affected. She knows that the spell can't turn corners so she will try maximize the effect by making sure the bolt continue it's path after the first cultist... )
"The spell is a good idea but I do not wish to leave this temple in their hands, strike when you can but I will hold them here, spread out away from sight of the stairwell, I will stay here with Lebenha and cover her after she casts. Once they commit to the room fall on them with blade, bow and spell".
Hrain will ready an action to swap places with Lebenha once she casts the spell. For now he will stand just behind her on the stairs.

Haldur was already in motion as the others began making preparations for what the next few minutes might entail. The mercenary crossed the room at a lope, loosing his halberd in his left hand and swinging his crossbow once again across his back with his other hand. He'd have precious little time to make the adjustment once the battle was joined, so he took the time now to ready his primary armament. The warrior bounded off toward the side of the stairway that led upwards and stood beside a nearby table (K2), his poleaxe held high and braced to come crashing down with merciless fury on the first opponents to clearly distinguish themselves.
Still, the warrior remained calm and collected. He had let his temper and passion get the better of him in previous encounters with these retched Casters, and he would not let it happen again. He wouldn't let his Captain, his comrades or anyone down again if he could help it. The sellsword was poised, focused, and ready to dispatch his foes with extreme vengeance.
