You decide to spend the night in the cave. From far inside the cave, you can hear various sound of goblins working on something, however not a single goblin leaves the inner part of the cave to your direction.
Waft takes the first shift to watch while everyone else is resting. Few hours in, only wind enters the cave, and Waft switches with Handy. Few hours passes without any event, and Handy switches with Vortrin and went to rest. Few minutes after the midnight, Vortrin hears someone or something walks just outside of the cave and speak to each other in Draconic.
"These cursed defiler of Skullfang's cave has human guards! We are outnumbered! We can't strike now"

.. will expand his senses past normal and use (Action: Divine Sense).
Divine sense: The presence of strong evil registers on your senses like a noxious odor, and powerful good rings like heavenly music in your ears. As an action, you can open your awareness to detect such forces. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity (the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich, for instance). Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the hallow spell.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to 1 + your Charisma modifier. When you finish a long rest, you regain all expended uses.
Vortrin silently wakes the rest of the group, but nobody moved yet. Chenna tries to detect for evil creatures, but detects nothing. (The source of the sound isn't visible from inside of the cave)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
==HANDY=HALF-ELF=BARD/SORCERER==
Handy quickly prepares himself and whispers a message to Vortrin, "stealth is one of my better abilities. I will investigate the cave entrance. Handy motions for the others to remain quiet and stay where they are. He moves to quietly (stealth: 18) towards the cave entrance to learn what is approaching.
Handy manages to move silently near to the cave entrance, he saw a small band of little less than a dozen Lizardfolk gathering nearby, seemingly waiting listening to their leader, who is speaking draconic. Just few seconds after Handy observes the band, they prepare to move again.
OOC: Handy understand draconic by the way. Also I'm guessing we did not get a full long rest, correct? At least not yet. And last question, were the lizard folk moving towards the cave?
Handy quickly moves back to the others and quietly informs them with hand motions and whispers of the 10 or so Lizardfolk that are gathering outside the cave. He prepares an action to attack if they come into the cave: (fire bolt)

The lizardfolk speaks of considering attacking the goblins in the cave, but decided to fall back for now due to the presence of "human guards". They begin to moving back into the swamplands
Handy forgot to mention to the others that. "Oh yes and the Lizardfolk are actually moving back into the swamp. It seems that our presence scared them off. We can complete our rest. The irony and bit of misfortune for us is that they were not here to attack us but were here to attack the goblins."
"Aye, I agree with that. We should come back and kill the goblins, though. Especially if they're mixed up in necromancy of some sort."
