River was doing a quick forage survival17 and refilling of her water skin at the stream (provided the water is good). insight10 to check water.
ooc if she determines water is safe, she will mention to others. Forage is done just outside close to the entrance.
"It seems Gilmys is gone, I shall miss him. Perhaps we will see him entertaining someday." Hearing her name mentioned she approaches Leoneiros and gives a bow of her head. "Certainly you would have bested the Goblins, that's probably why they tied you up! I am happy to see that you are well and will aid us."
Delta gives Leoneiros a small nod. “Wait. You said the pastries were magical. I’m just curious. How so?”
Ooc: I assume I can choose what was the plot with that wizard, right?
He looks at the cupcake, as he reminesces on the event. "Oh, I found a wizard on the road, and she took an interest in me, because of my race, the whole being naturally magical thing, and asked if I could help her learn more, long story short, after she left, she gave me those, and said they were magically made to nurture someone in an instant, removing all the tiredness they might have in their bodies as soon as they're consumed, really neat, I tried to give them back, but she insisted."With his own bag in his back, he holds the other bag offering for anyone who approaches to take.
Anton stands by smiling, eagerly anticipating the answer to Delta's question and thinking to himself, "Surrounded by magical companions, now magical pastries? What's next, a magical enchantment that causes us to sing everything we say?"
As Leoneiros tells them of the restorative properties of the cupcakes, Anton remembers the gash in his side, shrugs, and grabs one of the pastries. "Here goes nothing," he says aloud but quietly. Turning to River, he says, "If I turn into a newt, I trust you'll tell the world all about how I died bravely in battle. Let's say roasted beyond recognition by a red dragon, shall we?" He eats the cupcake.
After just the first bite, he can feel his wounds starting to close. By the time he swallows the last piece, he can no longer even tell where the goblin had sliced him.
"That was... that was amazing!" he says to the new member of their group. "When this is all over, you've got to help me find that wizard."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OoC: When the rest of the group is ready (and presumably have eaten their magic cupcakes), Anton will suggest that they go inside. And with the aid of the refreshment and their dear departed Gilmys's lingering inspiration, he will try again to be stealthy.
"That was... that was amazing!" he says to the new member of their group. "When this is all over, you've got to help me find that wizard."
"Of course, bud, I'm kinda interested as well in finding her again, we've had a great conversation that time." He answers, looking around at the group, but he stops at the dragonborn, who he stares, seemingly a bit angry, but he keeps his cool and looks back at the bag. "Aren't you going to share this? There's 2 gold coins for each of us, and I don't know what I'd do with three whole potions, maybe one, but the three of them is too much."
Leoneiros doesn't eat his cupcake, seeing as he was sleeping just now, but he prepares to go out after those things are divided.
OoC: Party bookkeeping note: Assuming even splits of the loot here (the bag and the goblin bodies), everyone gets the equivalent 4 gp (Anton will toss 1 sp into the pot to even the 99 to 100). CK, do you want us to track different currencies separately, or just convert everything to gp? It matters if you want to track encumbrance from coins, but probably not otherwise. How do we want to distribute the healing potions? I would suggest that River not carry one of the potions, since she has healing magic, and it's probably better to spread the healing around. I will volunteer Anton not to carry one, since he's likely to be in melee and so less mobile to pour them into unconscious people's mouths. As to the arrows, does anybody have a bow? I think River is the only one who can use one, so you may as well take the arrows in case we find a bow somewhere.
OoC: In that case, instead of 4 gp, add 2 gp and 20 sp. My vote on encumbrance would be to track it using the "simple" rule --- i.e., you can't carry more than 15 x your strength score -- but not to worry about the more complex stuff about slowing your movement speed as you approach your carrying capacity, etc. The DDB character builder has a toggle for whether to count weight from coins, so it's easy to track or not track, whatever you decide. Either way is fine with me.
DM Note -- Lets keep coin encumberance off. I am assuming everyone has eaten their cupcake aside from Leo. Please let me know if you haven't :)
You enter the cave via a narrow dry path to the right of the stream. The stream continues on for some way, taking a turn about 60 feet from you. To your right, you can see steps leading up to a darkened area and you can hear snarling.

OoC: Well, the same goes for Leoneiros, he will also be in melee, but there's one racial trait, and one class trait to come in the later levels that will probably make him more helpful in getting the potions in the right place, so it'll be one for each spellcaster and one for Leoneiros?

OoC: Yeah, that's a good point. Go ahead and take the third one anyway, though --- you're probably more likely to need it on yourself than Anton is, between the lower AC and HP, plus Anton's "second wind" ability.
OoC: I am assuming we are following the marching order established earlier, with River scouting in the lead with the benefit of her darkvision, and Sulvarax having cast light for the benefit of the rest of us, who are keeping a bit of distance behind River so as not to alert the gobbies? Unless we have the light from outside still to this point, in which case maybe we wait on creating our own light. Don't know if it matters, but Anton could use his shield as the target for the light and walk second in line if that is a sensible thing to be doing.
“Wait,” Delta half-whispers to everyone. “You hear that too. Right? ...I’ve got an idea.” She snaps her fingers and a little frog appears in her open palm. “Meet Laiken. I’m going to send him ahead and transfer my sight and hearing to him. I won’t be able to see or hear you. If you need to get my attention, pat me twice on my shoulder. I’ll answer questions later.” Delta lowers Laiken down to the ground and transfers her senses to him. He scampers around the corner to whatever position he needs to be in to get a good view of the creature that is causing the snarling noise.
Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. Laiken quietly hops up the steps, as frogs do. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where two wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf's chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.

The water is fine to drink and foraging manages to get you some edible roots that taste like mint.

Searching the goblins, you see that they have 99 SP, and 7 arrows

Nope, frog would go relatively undetected here
