Doc’s swings his warhammer a little early on his first attack, but quickly brings it back around for an overhead hit on the Goblin’s unprotected head. It collapses on the ground, dead. Edra walks over and retrieves her javelin from the body.
There are 2 sleeping Goblins and 2 sleeping Giant Rats. There’s enough time before they wake up from the spell to tie them up or kill them in their sleep.
The Goblins are wearing simple leather clothes/armour with a scimitar in a scabbard. The Giant Rats have small saddle bags on their backs.

I have some rope we can tie them up with. What is it you think we can do with the rats?
Quilqwen pulls the 50 feet of rope off his pack and proceeds to tie up the goblins while others search the rats. Once he is done with that he goes to check if he can still see the other creature. Once again flying up for a better view.
As you look through the bags, start to discuss the plan, and tie up the goblins. You notice that where there were 2 sleeping goblins and a dead goblin, there is now 1 sleeping goblin and a dead goblin. A small bit of blood can be seen on the surrounding grass where the other sleeping goblin used to be.
As the gems are pulled out Quilqwen starts looking at them intently. So many shiny stones. Where did they get them all? .....Wait where did the other one go?!?
Quilqwen leaps up flying into the air and looking around for the other goblin. Perception : 17
(We should probably have one person hold gems for the party. If Violet wants to do so I'm fine with it. Though Quilqwen may bug her to look at them every now and then.)
"I have no interest in carrying the gold or the gems. I trust whomever takes them can be trusted to split the wealth later...though I may be tempted to take the entirety of the rations, unless anyone objects." Doc holds the six rations in his claws.
As he takes notice of the blood, however, Doc stuffs the rations in his sack and quickly follows the trail. "One has awoken!"
Estellen examines the gems briefly before speaking, "Why would these goblins be carrying so many jewels? Perhaps they were sent to deliver a payment to their boss? We should interrogate them to find out where they were going"
Estellen (assuming you’re searching the sleeping goblin and the dead one)
On the sleeping goblin you find leather armour (small and currently being worn) and 2cp in a small pouch.
On the dead goblin you find a chain shirt (small), a scimitar, 2 javelins, 1sp 1cp in a small pouch, and a small scroll case.
Inside the scroll case are 2 pieces of paper (heavily torn at the edges). 1 has a roughly drawn map on it with a red X on it. (the red looks like dried blood) The map depicts a rural/wilderness area, but none of you recognise it. The 2nd piece of paper has a truly terribly drawn picture of what can only be assumed to be a person. It’s not quite as bad as a stick drawing, but it’s not far off. There is however a lot of writing around the drawing, although none of you are able to read it.
As you inspect the Goblin’s bindings you see that they’re still good and strong, but there is no broken or untied rope where the other Goblin was.
Doc, there are no signs of a trail.
Many of the gems are quite large, but of poor quality or badly cut (hence their low worth). The small gems look like they’ve been pried from jewelry (as some of them are distinct shapes).
Both the Goblin and the Giant rats begin to stir, it’s likely a few seconds before the wake.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Quilqwen will leave the interrogations to others but as the rats awake he attempts to call them. Offering them some of the 5 Goodberry he has left from the night before.

We are out of initiative.

Doc will quickly (but carefully) remove the scimitars from the sleeping goblins. "I have no means to hinder them any further."
He then points his chin in the direction of the giant rats. "These may yet prove useful, but let's check the saddle bags before trying to tame them."

Estellen helps search the rats. "Let us get some answers from these goblins, does anyone here speak goblin?"
The other creature has run off I think. The fight probably scared it away. Is it possible these creatures speak our language?
DOC
"It appears these goblins were using the giant rats to carry cargo. I'm merely suggesting we could do the same, should they prove tame."
I see. Yes that might work. I have some berries left over from last night we could feed them.
2x small saddle bags, 1 on each rat. They jointly contain:
50gp, 2 large sapphires worth 10gp each (20gp total), 5 large rubies worth 12gp each (60gp total), 1 Large diamond worth 20gp, 50 small gems worth 1gp each (assorted emeralds, rubies, sapphires, etc.) (50gp total), 6x rations, 1x shortbow, 10x arrows.

(DM: How many scimitars did I acquire?)
(Doc: Each sleeping Goblin had 1 scimitar, so you have 2 at the moment)
There is no obvious trail (you can make a survival check if you want Doc to try and find one).
(also I have assumed that so far you have only searched the rats as you have not said otherwise)

(Thanks, DM!)

(Considering the missing goblin, Doc has left the option of keeping the rats with the rest of the party.)
I can't see it. Any luck finding a trail Doc. Quilqwen searches the remaining goblin, double checking its restraints as he does so.
