Tailine will turn to look at Estellen with the angry look of someone who as been pushed a bit too far for one day.
"Did you know there was a little girl locked in the back room of that temple you and your turtle friend set on fire? She'd be dead if it weren't for Jartrin. How about you take your snide comments and stick them up your backside knife ear. Now get out of my room."
She'll breathe hard for a few moments then deflate, the anger turning quickly to exhaustion. "I need to be alone for a while if all of you could go. Please."
(Metagaming here, but much of the story concerning the temple coming from Talon and Jartrin doesn't match up with what Doc and Estellin went through, so I just want to take some time to clarify whether the former two are acting on new information given by the DM. Doc and Estellen TRIED to set the temple on fire, but it being made of stone, actually FAILED to set the whole thing on fire or bring it down completely; rather, Estellen was only able to burn up whatever pieces of cloth, wood and gore that remained following their battle with the possessed priest. Afterwards, Doc and Estellen actually went back to the village to interact with the blacksmith, finding no one from the remaining village in a panic due to the leftover smoke. We also searched the back room of the temple and found nothing of value in what formerly served as the priest's quarters.)
(OOC @Azyn: The temple was smoking but not on fire also the frontdoor was blocked. Idk about panic but it attracted a crowd at the temple. The inside was turned into ash and smoke for whatever was burnable including the priest room, nothing was on fire anymore though. In the temple was a small locked storage where the uncuncious tiefling child was describing both of you leading in us chasing you guys.)
Jatrin looks at Tailine "I hope he gets better." and usher the people in the room to the hallway.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Quilqwen
As the Druid leaves the room. “Of course. I will check in on you in the morning.” As soon as they are in the hall I move to block the path to Estellen’s room. While I address both the wizard and the cleric my attention is focused mostly on the former. “It is time. We shall go to the elders here and you will answer what questions they have about the temple.” Holding our my staff ”Shillelagh”it makes a wooden, splintering sound as thorns burst out down the length of it.
"A tiefling using racial slurs? How quaint. And if that child were to have died, how would that in any way be our fault? The orcs, and whoever else was with them, were responsible for forcing that child there, they were responsible for the slaughter of all those within the temple, and they were responsible for creating strange cultic symbols, which had to be destroyed. Get some rest, you will need it to think rationally later."
As Quilqwen confronts him in the hallway, Estellen scoffs at him,
"You are much more base than I would have thought. You insult me with your words and your actions. Your gesture is pathetic, though it may be well intentioned. I answer to no one, if they desire me to speak, then they should seek me out themselves, not send you as their messenger. Now, I am going to get some rest of my own."
He stands in the hallway, waiting for Quilqwen to move.
"I am saddened that the first elf that I have met values the lives of other so little." The staff he holds reverts to its normal state as he walks off not waiting for or acknowledging any response from Estellen. When I get back down to the tavern I look around noting Violet still sitting at the table But looks around for the inn keep. "Bryant, it is nice to see you again. Could you tell me where I could find the Elders of your flock? I have information regarding what occurred at the temple just before we left."
"I see. Well it seems that the ones who started the fire are two of the members of our group. They say they were trying to cleanse whatever dark ritual had been taking place there and that they were unaware of the child's presence. While I believe their words at least one of them has refused to see that he may have done something wrong or take responsibility for the consequences of his actions. How your flock decides to handle this I leave to you, but know I will stand by you."
The rest of the night goes without incident. Strife remains unconscious throughout as well. In the morning those who weren't from this town are making ready for travel in the common room of the inn.
Doc continues to tend to Strife while the tie fling remains unconscious. He changes out the bandages and fetches water from the common room as he awaits any revelations.
After checking in how Tailine and her mentor are faring, Jatrin will walk down in the common room wishing those departing a safe travel. He tries to listen for any rumors about the orc or dark tentacles or both.

(ooc the temple did end up smoking as you left, and did not burn down. However smoke can do a lot of damage...)

Once everyone is out Tailine will lock the door and resume her vigil at Strife's bedside.

About elders/local government. It's what Bryant said when he talked to you before Strife entered the Inn. (if you're asking again he says the same)
Quilqwen (Sorry forgot about that)
"Hmmm, I see. Is there anyone in town who was left in charge of investigating the temple?"
"What with rebuilding, burying the dead, and awaiting the living. We haven't really had any time to look into it."
Quilqwen

After that Quilqwen heads up to his room.
"That.. complicates things... Best wait for the town master to return to deal with this issue..."
(We take a long rest then?)
