As they return to the main road, Harukai comments, "Sildar, we saw evidence on the road where the horses were killed by arrows. Is this where you were ambushed?" Harukai listens intently to Sildar's response.
OOC: Harukai's judgmental streak is showing itself, trying to determine if Sildar did all he could to protect his charge or if they were legitimately outclassed by their attackers.
Sildar says "Yes this is the spot. We had encountered no trouble during our travels and I had regrettably let my guard down. We were chatting with one another when suddenly arrows flew from the brush, striking out horses. I was thrown and landed hard on my back, knocking the wind out of me. The goblins were on top of us before I could even pull my sword. I pray that I am able to redeem myself for my failure. I was sent here and it was my duty to protect Gundren, along with finding a missing associate."
"His name is Iarno Albrek, he is a member of the Lord's Alliance, a group which we both belong to. He was sent by the Alliance to Phandalin when the town began rebuilding because we heard rumors of great magic in the area around the town and his experience with magic due to him being a wizard. He has not been heard of for some time and I was sent to find him. I met Gundren, who I had had prior business with, and he offered to employ me as protection for him and his brothers because they feel they made a great discovery in finding an old mine in the mountains around Phandalin. This mine was connected with the rumors of magic so I took the employment as a way to expedite my search or Iarno, but that damned Gundren has kept me busy escorting to and fro and I have not yet been able to ask around for Iarno. When we arrive at Phandalin I am going to begin my search for information of Albrek and I would like to ask your group to find information on this castle where they took Gundren. We must find him and his map before they fall into the wrong hands."

"That's quite the story, Sildar. If such is the case, then can I trust you to accompany us to find Gundren once we drop off this cart in Phandalin? I believe we have to take it to a man named Barthen, if I'm not mistaken."

"I will need to obtain some equipment when we arrive in Phandalin, damned goblins took mine when they took Gundren away. I am sure I can find a decent blacksmith and some connections to the Alliance where I can gain some assistance. Sufficing I can obtain some armor and weaponry, I will have no issue joining your group in the search for Gundren."
The group continues down the triboar trail, recaching Phandalin without any further issues.
The rutted track emerges from a wooded hillside, and you catch your first glimpse of Phandalin. The town consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings, some built on old fieldstone foundations. More old ruins — crumbling stone walls covered in ivy and briars — surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past. Most of the newer buildings are set on the sides of the cart track, which widens into a muddy main street of sorts as it climbs toward a ruined manor house on a hillside at the east side of town.
As you approach, you see children playing on the town green and townsfolk tending to chores or running errands at shops. Many people look up as you approach, but all return to their business as you go by.
Sildar seems much more at ease.
“My friends,” he says, “let us secure lodgings. I’m told the local inn is very quaint.”
A farmer looks up from sorting the vegetables on his cart "Aye, that there be Barthen's place" pointing toward the red roofed building on the east side of town, where the triboar trail comes into town.

The group returns to the cart by traveling back down the goblin trail, avoiding the traps. The cart and oxen sets undisturbed, where the group hid it.

Whilst they are traveling she will keep an eye on the road walking ahead if she needs to.
