Barnaby: Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Chubs, try and plug the leak on the East!
Chubs nods and takes a staff attack and an unarmed attack at the creature before him. Chubs attack 11 for 5 bludgeoning damage. Unarmed attack 19 for 7 bludgeoning damage. If the creature dies, Chubs will move forwards onto its corpse on the stairwell.
Barnaby meanwhile will step around the wall and launch a volley of magic missiles at the creatures to the west, two at the second in line for 3 and 5 force damage, and the last at the third for 3 force damage.
Geez. Three days ago. Sorry, all, this week has been a beast. I don't expect this week to be much better, but it should be a *little* better. Starting a week from Monday, I should be finally out of the woods. (Shoptalk for Pete: I had a CoA brief go out yesterday, this week I have an ALA due Monday and three CSA briefs due Wednesday. Taking Thursday & Friday off.)
Kif, his arms weary from the day-long battle, somehow misses the twig creature in front of him. It retaliates, with a crit! The most pathetic, minimum damage crit in all the long history of Dungeons & Dragons, doing a pathetic 3 points of damage! As the remaining creatures come swarming up behind it, Barnaby effectively thins them out by destroying one and damaging the other. Lucento finishes off the injured one with a Sacred Flame.
Chubs, meanwhile, destroys one with a massive punch to its brittle face. The one behind it comes rushing down and leaps on Chubs, slashing him (assuming a 20 hits) for 2 points of damage! The creature slides off; it was just a flavor leap. More creatures crowd the steps behind this one, though it does not seem like more are coming from the group facing down Kif.

And if that kills the twig I'd use my great weapon master thing I keep forgetting to use my bonus action to make another attack at the next nearest bad guy 20 for 6 damage

Just to be sure...Chubs, I believe, landed two attacks last round. If the first one killed a creature, then the next should be applied to the next one in line. Thanks. Sorry if this was already accounted for. Also the map looks off to me. The idea is that Chubs is standing on the bottom step to block all blights from coming down.
Chubs will take two more attacks after wiping fresh blood from his cheek with his bemugged hand. Staff 8 for 5 damage. Unarmed 18 for 7 damage.
Barnaby will launch a fire bolt at an injured blight by Kif if available, an uninjured if not available. 16 for 10 damage.
Oops! I was confused about the direction of the ramp. Sorry. Also, he did kill one, and then he stepped on its corpse and blocked the ramp. Which is what I thought you wanted.
You can attack and then attack again, but I assume that means climbing the ramp as you go, right? So that's what I'm doing. If you want him to do something else let me know.
Anyway, not-great round for the heroes. Chubs takes out one and misses one, but Barnaby and Kif both miss. Lucento manages to take one down with a Sacred Flame, dealing maximum damage. Trying to protect Kif, who is immediately surrounded! Kif sees no more coming from the other room, but Chubs sees quite a few more, now that he has a peek up the hallway. Maybe 4-6.
Four of them get attacks off: three against Kif, and one against Chubs. The heroes are getting used to the simple tactics of these little fiends, though, and manage to knock aside all of their blows.
Ok, I'm back, and largely out of the woods at work. Let's get this going.
Kif, I corrected your past turn to a hit and then a miss, instead of just a miss. I think I glanced through and only noticed your second post.
Kif and Lucento - hurling another Sacred Flame - manage to finish off the two on Kif's side. It's a good thing, too, because Barnaby missed! Chubs takes out another on the ramp. There are more above him, but the party is not in position to see what's going on up there. Chubs can make out maybe 4-5, total, above him on the first floor. They are all packed onto the ramp, or next to it, above him.

Barnaby moves up behind Chubs and they spend the next several rounds trying to finish off the creatures. If the DM allows it, to move things along, I am going to roll a bunch of rounds here assuming that no one else can get into position to attack. If something changes you can negate the rest of the rounds or whatever works.
Round 1: Chubs weapon attack, 10 for 7 damage; Chubs unarmed attack, 19 for 6 damage; Barnaby fire bolt, 15 for 10 damage.
Round 2: Chubs weapon attack, 19 for 7 damage; Chubs unarmed attack, 14 for 5 damage; Barnaby fire bolt, 9 for 10 damage.
Round 3: Chubs weapon attack, 17 for 5 damage; Chubs unarmed attack, 12 for 8 damage; Barnaby fire bolt, 15 for 7 damage.
Round 4: Chubs weapon attack, 15 for 7 damage; Chubs unarmed attack, 21 for 5 damage; Barnaby fire bolt, 22 for 5 damage.
Round 5: Chubs weapon attack, 23 for 8 damage; Chubs unarmed attack, 7 for 8 damage; Barnaby fire bolt, 9 for 1 damage.
Round 6: Chubs weapon attack, 7 for 6 damage; Chubs unarmed attack, 20 for 5 damage; Barnaby fire bolt, 14 for 1 damage.
Round 7: Chubs weapon attack, 8 for 7 damage; Chubs unarmed attack, 17 for 8 damage; Barnaby fire bolt, 14 for 10 damage.
Sure, I’ll accommodate. I had considered hand waving the rest of this combat but I do not know how everyone is doing on HP. But I’ll work with that. Not at the moment, I’m on my phone.
. . . and I have mathed it out. The remaining blights get several swings at Chubs, but all miss as they are dispatched.
The house is quiet, and it is very late at night. The party contemplates its next step in the basement. short rest, long rest, make your way out, what do you do? And, if you're resting, where?
You have??? Very good. Many thanks. There are still some outside, but we can slip past them.
Silence follows, and several minutes pass.
Davian Martikov and several of his friends come down the steps and discover you in the basement. Davian marvels at the amount of wine still in the cellar, and expresses deep gratitude for the work you've done. He seems unconcerned with the remaining blights outside; he explains that - in the absence of any of the cultists or any other guide - they will likely wander off by dawn. He and his companions have secured the doors, and he offers the safety of a night's rest indoors, if you would like it.
Moved to a new front

If Chubs' first blow takes out the blight, then, obviously, he will use the unarmed on the next blight after stepping forwards.

Kif missed with a 25? The 9 was my second attack only if I killed someone on my first
Rinse and repeat...
Chubs will take two more attacks. Staff 12 for 9 damage. Unarmed 17 for 6 damage.
Barnaby will launch a fire bolt at an injured blight by Kif if available, an uninjured if not available. 12 for 7 damage.
OK, Kif attacks again 13 if that hits 7 damage
Sorry my mistake. That was a hit. I’ll move everything forward tomorrow night. I’m still away.

Barnaby will move to the wall closest to where the vineyard owners were, hoping that he is within 120’ of them and cast message,
Hello? This is the wizard, Barnaby The Bold. I believe we have dispatched all the threats in your establishment. How do things look out there?
You have??? Very good. Many thanks. There are still some outside, but we can slip past them.

Yaaay!!! Long rest!
Barnaby, We should probably sleep in a common area and still keep watch. Those blights outside could still try and get in.
And we really know nothing about our hosts either, thinks Barnaby, who grows warier as their list of enemies grows.
I’ll take first watch.
Lucento, a long rest will give you an opportunity to swap around your spells for the new day, if you want.
