Glim copies down the etchings and then inserts a crossbow bolt into the hole and uses it to try to get some leverage to turn the wheel (asking Klong for some help if he can't manage it by himself)
The wheel seems to move pretty freely, but you notice the crossbow bolt hits an outset peg about 6 inches from the rim. As you let go, the flywheel returns to it's original position.

Upstairs, out in the open, Fionula takes a deep breath of the cool night air. She moves away from the entrance, and any light source drifting up from there, to stand in a shadow and glance about with her 120' of dark vision.

Hopefully seeing nobody, she will take out a homemade smoking stick and light it with Prestidigitation, thus fitting her portrait, and also completing her disaffected teen vibe.

To the west, Fi is able to see over near where the odd spot on the map that Gargosh didn't remember was.
A large, semicircular amphitheater built into the side of the bluff takes advantage of the natural rise and the acoustics.
To the east, Fi can see what used to be a large statue and watchtower
This massive structure was once a building topped by a great statue — a dwarf standing proudly with one arm outstretched, brandishing his greataxe. The head, shoulder, and arm of the statue have crumbled down and lie in a pile of rubble around the base of the building now; only the legs, waist, outstretched arm, and weapon remain.

Giving a little "Eeep!" she jumps. "Oh, man, I thought I was alone up here. Don't give a girl a fright like that, you might find yourself on the wrong side of the abyssal plane." But that's a good idea, she tells Swifty to go, too, and he does, but mostly just so he can keep a loving eye on Lucy, so he doesn't bother with a Perception roll.

Gargosh looks around nervously as you and Kelvin send your familiars off to the ampitheatre. "We should be focussing on our task, no? Why are you wasting your efforts on some unimportant feature?"
On closer inspection, Swifty sees that there are 6 heavily armed Dwarves attempting to hide. (I need a stealth check for Swifty)

As the party re-gathers after they do all their axle-shifting puzzle-beating, Fionula will turn to Gargosh. "Hey, Gargamel, why are there six heavily armed dwarves hiding over there in that amphitheater?" she waves northward.
She will try to determine if Gargosh's response is sincere. Insight: 17
Edit: Whoa! Girl and bird are living well, apparently!
In an exaggerated tone, Gargosh gasps. "It must be my cousin Drannin! Hurry, we must make haste and beat him to the Tomb before he steals the axe for himself!"

Glim plays with the mechanism, and manages to get the Flywheel locked into place so that the symbol that matches the ceiling points inwards.
Watching Glim manouver and figure out the Flywheel with ease, Gargosh gasps.
