"Shayna said this glen we just cleansed was where the supplies they send to the guild are gathered, right? If we could send them a shipment, even a small one, it could be a signal of progress but not of a full solution just yet. Perhaps we can even send a message along with whoever is delivering such a shipment." Hermenor suggests.
Tyr just looked at the group, thinking for a second "The mission was to get supplies flowing, even if we leave now there is still a chance corruption will come back. I say we have them prep a caravan of supplies, it will take them some time, we go knock out the cave comeback and escort the caravan back. It will take a whole day to travel their and back, meaning we will have at least two days pass before we come back."
He turns his attention to Shayna "Can your people have a small supply caravan ready to go to the guild in three days time? That should be enough for us to get to the cave, cleanse it, get back and enjoy some rest before heading out."
He looked at his party again "If that sounds like a plan to you all."
The Lady of White agrees “I can prepare a small batch of supplies ready to go in that amount of time.”
Shayna continues “we can rig up the wagon you brought and have it ready by the time you come back.”
TheLady of White glides over to the party. “If you plan on venturing forth against the darkness, it will be treacherous. These will aide you on your journey.”
"It is settled then. Thank you, Lady of White and Shayna, for setting up a shipment and for the gifts. Shayna, will you lead us to the lake or can you at least point us in the right direction?"
With that, Hermenor proposes the party leaves in search of the next shadow boulder.
(OOC: Hermenor will lay no claim on either of those two magic gifts.)
Tyr will just paw at the shinning necklace, a faint purr can be heard from his throat "If no one wants it, thank you miss." he says putting it on and following the group.
Shayna draws a map in the dirt for you to get a lay of the lands “follow along the right side of this path until you pass the tree stump that looks like a fist. Then switch to the left side. Turn right at the fork and about two hours from there is the lake. I will make the necessary arrangements back at camp.”
Following her directions throughout the remainder of the day. You see the stump, switch side... continuing on down until you see the fork in the path. Up until now the forest is looking more lively than it was before. Not quite healthy, but you can see nature correcting itself once the Stone was removed. After the fork in the road it begins to turn cloudy and dark again. The chill is beginning to fill the air. The twigs that snap begin to give off the black ooze once more. About an hours journey and it’s getting dark. Given Shayna’s directions it’s another hour of walking until you arrive. You find a grouping of trees with an overhanging rock that would be the best bet for shelter for the night.
If we got to the fork on the road and saw that the area around us was still green/coming back to life, and we noticed the sun would be setting just an hour from that point, I'd say we would have made camp then, at the safer portion, instead of traveling just for one extra hour and camping in the cursed part of the forest. Thoughts, gang?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
At the crossroads you make your camp for the night. Keeping a watch throughout the night, even though you’re on the healthier side of the forest. The night is clear, the half moon overhead giving a fair amount of night on the relatively warm night.
3
The night is uneventful, some animals can be heard in the distance but nothing that travels close to the campsite. The morning oranges and yellows begin to freak over the horizon as you all wake up and prepare for the day.
You make your way to the Lake over the next two hours. Arriving there you see that It’s about 300 feet from edge to edge all the way around. The water is still, almost like glass. On the far side you see a rock formation sticking out of the ground. This is the entrance to the cave.
Standing at the the edge of the lake Ragnir dip the tip of his sword and passes through pure liquid. Though cold water, the chill isn’t enough to freeze over at least at the edges of the water. Removing the blade some submarine plant life comes up as the ground was disturbed. The mud thick and darkened until black. Flinging it off you hear a heavy “plunk”. As it splashes back into the water.
Hermenor, around the area you see footprints old and new. They look familiar. Large webbed feet, sometimes a walking pattern. Some more sporadic 10-30 feet apart. Deep impact prints indicating a heavy landing.

"Agreed it would likely be safest to camp closer to our allies." Priton says as he starts to set up camp for the group

"The water seems undisturbed. Did the Lady of White mention that the cursed boulder was submerged?" Hermenor prods his companions.
He also keeps an eye out (perception: 22).
Ragnir will test the water, to see if its frozen, or if its even solid.
