Nate moves up and into the mouth of the room on the right and is startled to see the goblin and the four wolves, two of which seem chained up. "Is this some kind of torture chamber?" Nate thinks to himself. He watches as the battle ensues and is amused with Ophirinn's command spell as the goblin blindly walks over to Ophirinn. Swords and axes fly, and seeing the immediate danger with Wolf 1 directly in front of him, he will attempt to stab the wolf in the body hopefully piercing its heart.
Attack with dagger: 13 Damage if applicable: 4
Nate then realizing that Idalie's leg is looking horrible from the bite, he swiftly stares at her and the would with unbreakable concentration and casts Healing Word as a bonus action.
OOC Sorry been at work and internet was down but thats prob what i would of done anyway lol also wouldnt i have prof bonus being proficent with rapier?
(Welcome back! You get a +5 to your attack rolls with the rapier, and that +5 is made of two components, +3 DEX modifier because it's a finesse weapon and you're allowed to use DEX instead of STR, and +2 proficiency bonus because you're proficient in rapiers. If you hover your mouse over the attack roll, you'll see that you rolled a 5, and then 5 was added to it.)
Nate, you aim your dagger at the wolf's neck, and it turns at just the wrong moment - what was supposed to be a stab becomes a long slash across the wolf's throat. Blood pours out, and the wolf collapses on the ground making pitiful whining noises. Wolf 1 is dead.
Idalie is healed for 4 HP, and is looking a lot better.
Ophirinn is up. There's a goblin standing nearby, and further back in the cave, two wolves still chained to the wall and unable to reach you.
Without hesitation Ophirinn brings his mace down towards the goblins head.
Attack: 14 Damage: 6
If the goblin is still alive then Ophirinn will step to the side and cast Healing Word on Idalie, shouting to her "Idalie feel the to strength and fire upon this creature."
Under is the rule that allows Idalie to make an attack.

If you cast a spell with a spell slot of 1st level or higher and target an ally with the spell, that ally can use their reaction immediately after the spell to make one weapon attack against a creature of your choice that you can see.
Ophirin, your attack misses, but your healing seems to energise Idalie and she is now at full strength; she looks at you, nods, and at what seems almost impossible speed she nocks another arrow and fires at the goblin:
Attack: 24 Damage: 9
The arrow goes through the neck, and the goblin falls dead.
As the two chained wolves have no way to break the chains and reach you, nor any ranged attack, combat is now over and you are out of initiative.
Two wolf corpses lie near you, along with the dead goblin. Looking into the cave, you see the two chained live wolves, but nothing much else of interest (though you can make an investigation check if you wish.
The cave is a dead end, so the only way forward is up the main tunnel; you're now getting far from the light of the cave mouth, but Ophirinn's mace is still glowing with its light spell. You might take a moment to discuss what to do about the live wolves, who are snarling and barking loudly.

Nate watches on as Ophirinn and Idalie easily take out the last goblin. He particularly notices the arrow go right through the goblins neck and gives an evil grin as it falls to the ground. As Omnia continues on to search the goblin, Nate says:
2. Cast Speak with Animals and begin to talk to the wolves. I will start with simple questions like why they are here and if there are any other goblins around. I would assume that they might be quite pissed and/or scared of what just happened, so if they are not talking to me right away I will attempt to calm them down using the Animal Handling roll below and also hoping I might have some advantage because I'm now a wolf myself (I used advantage on the roll, but if you don't agree then that is no problem!)
"Hello my wolf friends. We mean you no harm. I even have some food for you. If you tell us what we need to know I will even try and convince my friends here to let you both go. Why are you here? Are there any other goblins in this cave? Can you give us any information as to what the cave might look like?"
and as a hail mary attempt:
"Do you want to fight with us? It seems you have been treated horribly. We could be a pack. You can go on your own ways once we are done in here."
Nate will remain in Wolf form regardless of what happens.
Nate, you cast Speak with Animals first, and then transform into a wolf (you can't cast spells while in your Wild Shape).
The wolves didn't see you transform, but they can tell that you are with the ones who just killed their two brothers. It takes a while for them to calm down and listen to you. They are mostly hungry, and you can tell that the little two-legs used to starve them for fun from time to time, while making sure they ate enough at other times to be effective fighters. They are glad that you've killed the little two-legs, but they want to be free. They have no interest in being in a pack with you, as you're not family. But they will leave without attacking you or the big two-legs.
There are a lot more little two-legs, and one big two-legs deeper in the cave. They explain that there are three caves; you're standing in the smallest, and there's a big one and then another big one later on.
(I assume you feed them some rations? Please deduct two rations from your character sheet).
Let us go! Take off the collar. Let us run in the forest! The wolf is hopeful, but agitated and impatient.
Yes Nate will definitely feed them the rations (removed from sheet). Nate still in Wolf form explains to the rest of the party:
"Ok so it looks like we are in for a tough battle ahead. According to wolfie over there, there are a lot more goblins in here and perhaps even a larger goblin leader of some kind. Also it would seem that this cave is quite big. There are a few other large caves in here. Gundren and Sildar likely are in one of them. I think we need to start being quieter as we move forward. Omnia - can you try that key on the wolf chains so these guys can go free? They said they will not attack us. And if they do, it will be the last thing they do. I am certain all they want is to return to the forest."
Nate looks to the party hoping they will agree to let them free and also to see if anyone else wants to do any poking around this room further before we go back out to the main path with the stream.
(Sorry, druids can't speak in wild shape either. They're limited by the animal whose form they have, and a wolf doesn't have any languages listed under their description. You'll have to transform back to talk to the others, or find another way to commmunicate...)

"I say its fine to let them go, they're just wolves" Brom spoke up as he collected and cleaned his hand axes in the small stream, after he went into the small room to do a bit of looking around.

Ohh critical! Here's the extra damage roll if we are doing that:

What would you like to do?

Can i go ahead and check the goblin to see if there is anything useful there
Investigation: 10
Omnia - Human Rogue Female (2) - LMoP
DM - The Pursuit of Knowledge - One Shot
The goblin has a small iron key, as well as 7 silver pieces and 24 copper pieces.
I will take the coin and the key of which I immediately assume is for the wolves but might be for something else further down the tunnel.
"Not alot on the goblin does someone want to check the rest of the room before we press on"

OOC - ah sorry about that!

Oops - sorry about that and thanks for the help!
Ok so Nate will definitely change back to human form and then say the blue text to the others.

"No worries" Omnia goes over and tries the key in the lock to free the wolves
Omnia - Human Rogue Female (2) - LMoP

Brom, you find enough food to form four sets of rations, as well as an additional 5 silver pieces that presumably belonged to the goblin.
Omnia, please make an Animal Handling check to approach and free the wolves without panicking them. With advantage, because Nate is helping.
