"I would gladly, but near twice now my attempts and offer to do so was met with... disapproval of some."Rhogar gives Kazri a sidelong look and small frown. Though the Bronze soon chuckles and in passing at least give Kazri a good-nature clap on the shoulder. "No hard feelings, of course. After having worked with you all for some time, I understand the need for certain formations. And I'm not so prideful a dragonborn not to acknowledge your strengths, as well as my own weaknesses. Least I become a danger, and all the more UNWORTHY of such good company."

Heading up the stairs you find a long hallway that turns left with a number of doors. You realize a smaller set of stairs leads down to where you fought a number of ghouls earlier.
Arrow slits along the north side of the western hallway look down on the mustering hall.
The first doorway on the left opens into a large room. The stench and debris makes it obvious this is where the last ghoul horde came from. In the middle of this room stands a carved stone tub filled with gnawed dwarven bones. The tub is equipped with a faucet which, when turned, spouts hot water channeled from a naturally heated underground spring. A stone plug seals the drain in the tub’s bottom. The ghouls had entered and left the room through a 2-foot-diameter hole in the east wall, which breaks into the chimney in the throne room below.
The doorway to the north leads to another room. An earthquake caused part of this empty hall to collapse. A double door in the west wall leads to a small stone balcony overlooking the mustering hall.
The center room on the south side of the west hallway looks to have been some sort of bedroom. Its furnishings have decayed with age and are covered with dust and cobwebs.
The last room on the end has rusty chain mail curtains that conceal a pair of privies, each with a wooden bench set against the back wall. The chutes for these privies descend deep into the mountain.
The last room on the south side looks to have been another bedchamber. A stone-framed bed with a moldy mattress stands in the middle of this room, covered in dust and cobwebs. Set into the south wall is a soot-stained fireplace. A couple of Stirges nest in the rubble-choked chimney but Ghorar quickly sends them to flight and chases them down to add more to his previous dinner.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Krom follows the group upstairs. The dwarf takes a close look in each room since he suspects that they may have some secret passages or compartments on this floor.
If there is one thing Krom knows, its dwarves, and secret doors. Searching the room he sees in the interior of the fireplace and notices dwarven hand prints in the soot on the back wall. Sure enough there is a secret door. Pushing on the secret door causes it to swing open on hidden stone hinges.
Against the south wall of this otherwise empty room rests a 80-pound iron chest with clawed feet. Its built-in lock bears a tiny circular indentation instead of a traditional keyhole. Close inspection of the indentation reveals a tiny symbol of a handaxe clutched in a gauntlet. This symbol matches the one on the castellan’s signet ring, albeit reversed. Chill takes the castellan’s signet ring and places it in the indentation. A solid click is heard and the chest unlocks.
As Krom finds and opens the secret door he says "A secret door, I knew it!". Krom will then examine carefully the helmet and gauntlets "Take a look my friends! Those are amazing examples of dwarven craftmanship! Someday, with Moradin's blessing, I hope too to be able to craft such items."
"We should double check all the other rooms, just to be sure that no more undead are hiding. If we destroyed them all, I will proceed to gather the bones and remains of the dwarves and return them properly to Moradin's Stone Halls. Then we can prepare the stronghold for Phandalin's people."
"The sooner we can clear the stronghold the better." Kazri agrees.

With your permission, Master Krom, might we make use of those somehow? Assuming, of course, they are more than just ornamental. Or are they to be entombed or buried?"

"If you do not mind, Rhogar, have Ghorar do a quick round of all the rooms, I too do not think that there are any more undead remaining, but it is better to be sure." replies Krom
"As for the helmet and gauntlets, they are not ornamental, they are items crafted for a purpose: to protect and defend. I will study them and inform you all if they have magical properties as I suspect. I think that we will be able to put those items into a good use against the Dragon." he replies. "We should leave only after the people of Phandalin are safe within those walls."
Krom starts the identification's ritual. After the ritual, Krom takes his time to give a proper burial to all the dwarves. If the group agrees to wait for the people of Phandalin, Krom will spend his time trying to repair and clean as much as he can the fortress.
Rekuberk moves off to the side as the ritual is done, pulling out a patch for his shirt and grunting something on orcish as he does so. With that done he will clean the ghoul filth from his sword carefully. "Let us hope that the dragon is not doing anything while we finish in here."
"We have secured a safe place for the people of Phandalin, lad." says Krom after finishing the ritual. If Ghorar does not find any other undead, the dwarf will walk near Kazri and say "Lass, maybe it is time to use the summoning stone and tell to the people of Phandalin that Axeholm has been cleansed and that they can move here until take care of the Dragon."
"Agreed gentlemen." Says Kazri. She takes the stone and says to it. "Ms. Graywind. If you can hear me. Please inform the town that Axelhom has been secured, and to start making preparations to relocate here temporary. How is the town faring so far?"

Linene Graywind answers Kazri. She informs Kazri that they have been spending the time since the party had left to get ready to go. As it was late in the day they would spread the word and set out in the morning. The day after the party left for Axeholm the dragon flew overhead but did not disturb them. This helped remind people of the danger and preparations are nearly complete
Meanwhile Krom finishes his ritual and identifies the items found in the chest. The helm is a Dread Helm and the gauntlets, Gauntlets of Ogre Power.
The remainder of the day is spent laying the bodies of the ghouls to rest. They may have turned but they were still once dwarves.
The following days are spent cleaning and repairing the fortress. The old tattered and musty bed chambers are cleaned out as well as the rotted mess the ghouls have left. The spider remains are also cleared out. Nothing disturbs the group.
The third day after the clearing of the fortress the residents of Phandalin appear. Linene Graywind leads the way and soon the villagers are safely in the walls of Axeholm.
Rekuberk will spend his time once things are finished and made safe for the townspeople he will spend his time training or exploring the keep for anything else of interest.
Apart from any clean up work the group get up to, Rhogar is fairly content to use every free moment possible to make his way to the chop of chimney's and just watch the world go by with Ghorar; who, after annihilating much of the Stirge population over the first couple of days, had chosen to eat her feel of spiders and rats lurking around the place. Of the Dread Helm and Guantlets of Ogre Power, he only jokingly mentions giving them to Ghorar once during any stalemates or hesitance about the items.
Though on a more serious note, he'd suggest Master Krom make use of the Helm while the more athletic disclined Chill take on the gauntlets. Regardless of what may come of those things, once the residents of Phandalin arrive, unless asked to, the task of helping them explore the place he left to the others. Once they are at least all settled, the usual morning preparations are done, and the group are gathered again, he stand at least briefly before them. "I do believe this is it. Though we've talked about visiting the gnomes, I think it would be better we see to the dragon. It is only a matter of time before he goes to ravage the town, and in his rage, it could be that the people we've saved will only return to ruined homes. Homes that can be built again, but at a cost."He nods solemnly. "As we our know, we more than have enough strength to deal with this foolish dragon, and make it regret having chosen THIS area of all areas as its haunts."

Chill tries the gauntlets on and flexes as he wears them. "As strong as you Rhogar I'll bet. Or almost at least, I'll bet you are stronger than an ogre." He says with only the faintest hint of mockery in his voice and a grin on his face. "I'll take them if no one else has a need. Do you think they could be painted black? They are a bit flashy."
Pondering the next course of action he agrees with Rhogar.
"Hopefully the dragon didn't see the people come here. It needs to be dealt with. We've got the strength, literally. Let's get it done."
When the townspeople arrive at Axelhom, Kazri is relieved that they were able to come safely. She tries to help as best as she can. She thanks Linene for guiding the people in their hour of need.
She agrees with Rhogar's advice. "Mr. Nimbatuul is right. It is time we deal with this dragon once and for all."
