Cold sweat trickled down Kazri's back as she tried to find the dragon in the dense fog. She could hear its claws scrape on the ice as it moved around attacking her companions. She heard the grunts of pain from Krom who she knew was on the far side of the dragon. She could hear Rekuburk scream in rage as he slammed his great sword into the dragon.
She had taken up the blade again after so long. She held the blade that was created to kill dragons, a blade that had slain one dragon and she was intent on it slaying another. Feeling the power of Helm fill her she knew she had to succeed in protecting this area from the dragon, she could not fail.
Calling upon Helm, she raised the blade high and catching sight of the wyrm within the fog she lashed out and felt the blade cut through the scales of the dragon's hide.
Sensing the moment she imbued the power of Helm into the Dragon Slayer sword and the weapon gleamed with astral radiance as hit. The dragon suddenly glowed and she drew the blade back for another blow.
The head of the dragon reared out of the fog intent on biting down on her and she slashed again. The edge of the sword cleaving across its great neck as she nearly hewed the head off.
The dragon fell to the ground... dead.
The fog began to dissipate and the great creature's body could now be clearly seen by the others. Even the cold rain stopped.
The terror of the dragon over the Sword Mountains and the town of Phandalin had come to an end.
Both Bronze Dragonborn and Psuedodragon come out of their own shock at Chill's words, the breaking of silence following its death truthfully having been all it took. After which, Rhogar at least drift forward, keeping an even pace given the ice, while Ghorar chirped and flipped and chortled in excitement. She didn't even seemed to mind the cold as much in her excitement. If not seen to another by the time he gets up close to the Dragon, the Bronze almost absent-mindedly pats the dwarf on the shoulder, sending some positive energy his way to help hasten his recovery. Kazri too recieves an unspoken of rush of postive energy as phantom draconic hand appears only long enough to touch a shoulder before disappating back into the weave.
(@Kazri and Krom: if only for flavor, Krom would recieve a 2nd level Cure Wounds and Kazri 3 points of healing light for 18 and 10 HP respectively.)
Rhogar hardly pays much mind to any of it. His final go after the near trans-like march forward is to stay true to his word. At the largest open wound he claws, bites, and disgustingly on the spot, drinks his fill of dragon blood and flesh. Even before he has finished or perhaps pulled away, a transformation begins to overtake him. His own scales became more reflective, harder, and some outright turned sea green forming stripe patterns starting from the spine before spreading out along presumably the rest of his body. Lastly, he grew a full foot taller in height, with the rest of him accommodating to match the new size.
Unfortunately, the same did not quite go for clothing, as some of it tears or strains at the seam.
As the fog fades, Chip would quickly move towards his injured companions. The dragonborn would flail his arms as he to keep his balance. on the slick ice. "Sorry I wasn't much help! Here! Let me help you feel better.." He would say as he steadies himself on the ice and plays a quick few victory notes on his flute. The brass scaled dragonborn would look to Rhogar before glancing back to Chill. "I will never understand that dragonborn...." He would whisper with a grin. "But yes! Dragons do normally have treasure." He would reply much louder as he stands up straighter. He would dig the tip of his longsword into the ice to help keep his balance as he looks over the dead dragon. "We should collect some teeth and scales! I Think of the weapons and armor and clothing that could be made from this creature! Why I be I would look amazing in a white dragon vest... maybe a dragontooth hilt for my sword... " Chip would say before wondering off closer to the corpse still muttering to himself about the possibilities.

"We did it! We did it!" laughs Krom seeing the dead wyrm. The dwarf rushes around giving a big pat to every part member. "We should get a good share of the Dragon's treasure, but we may want to leave out something for Phandalin so that they can use it for rebuild." Krom walks near the dead dragon and says "Let's gather scales, hide and some of the dragon's teeth. I bet that using the forges of Axeholm and with a bit of time I can craft some magnificent armor or weapon from it." The dwarf starts to use his tools to remove scales, hide from the dragon. As he works Krom says "We should inform the people of Phandalin that the wyrm is now dead." the dwarf thinks for a few seconds and then adds "We should bring them the dragon's head. With a few hours of work I should be able to craft a makeshift wheeled box to carry it back"
As the Dragon’s head falls to the frozen ground in slow motion, Kazri is not sure if the quarry they have been hunting for so long, has really been defeated. As the fog begins to clear, she takes a moment to confirm that the Dragon is indeed dead, then she is relieved that their mission here has been accomplished. “Yes!! Yeahh!!!!” Kazri brandish her sword high above her head, for she has never felt this excited in her life. “Friends!! We did it!!” Kazri looks around for her companions, to make sure that they are all well. “Yes indeed Chill, it seems that we just saved this region of this dragon.” She feels healing surging through her body, mending her wounds. “Thank you Mr. Nimbatuul, and you too Chip. Your songs are always welcomed!!” She approaches Krom and Rekuburk, and she returns Krom’s pat. “Well done Master Krom. Yes, we should aid the town as best as we can. I shall inform Ms. Graywind immediately of our success.” After she delivers the good news to Phandalin’s townsfolk using one of the Sending Stone, she walks to the side of the keep that looks over the town. She takes a moment to admire the view. She goes to reach for her medallion, and she finds it where it has been for a long time. As she holds Tharii’s medallion, the chain breaks off in pieces, leaving only the medallion on her palm. Kazri freezes, at first in shock, but even through her thick gloves/gauntlet (whichever she is wearing), she can still feel the warmth that it usually radiate. She cannot explain, but she knows that the Angel Tharii has not left her, but she is not sure what is the meaning of this.

Chill looks over at Rekuburk. "You still going to move into this place Rekuburk, make this your castle? Once this place gets cleaned up it would be amazing! I mean personally I don't want to live on a cold mountain top but I could see the appeal. Maybe the weather will improve with the dragon dead."
Chill moves around the roof looking to see if there is any treasure to be found. After that he'll head down the stairs that were left unexplored earlier.
A hovering nearby Ghorar nods her agreement to Chip's whisper. Then at the twice reminder of treasure, she shares a mental image to Chill of the two together like last time below followed by warm feelings. Though unspoken, she made her intent clear in trying to perch on the Tabaxi' shoulder and pantomime looking around the roof top. She would help however she can in finding treasures. Perhaps it was down the stairs they had yet to check?
Meanwhile, a thoroughly enraptured Rhogar eats and drinks his fill after at least of couple of minutes, though would have to brace himself against the freshly made carcass. After another few moments laughter bubbles out of the Bronze. Deep, joyful laughters at the sky that soon concludes with him shouting, "We have done it, Brother! And now I am one step closer to our promise!" He barks out in his excitement, too blissful to care about the blood mess painting his jaws or the troublesome stain he would need to clean from his top. Whenever he was to calm down, he spends at least a few moments marveling at the change, but would eventually help Krom in beginning the harvesting up process alongside everyone else.

"Yes I believe that this will be my home and that it my family. My mother and father while still adventuring far and wide are not as young as they once were. When they retire they can stay here and keep the place for me as I still have much left to do. But enough of that. Let us go see the treasure that we have waiting for us!" Rekuberk say as he finishes the last word with a yell that then turns into an orcish war cry. His flaming sword was held above him, serving as a torch to those that may see the top of the former dragon lair.
Searching the roof of the keep you find a pile of treasure in the north east corner buried in ice. With some time and effort you are able to chip away at the ice and find 500 cp, 8000 sp, 2200 gp, 100 pp, Amethyst (100 gp), Chrysoberyl (100 gp), Coral (100 gp), 2 x Garnet (100 gp), 2 x Jade (100 gp), 2 x Jet (100 gp), Pearl (100 gp), 2 x Spinel (100 gp), Tourmaline (100 gp) gems.
Rekuburk locates a small chest and opening it up he finds a small bronze statuette of a Griffon Rampart.
Instinctively he places it on the ground in front of him and speaks a word. No, not a word he realizes, a name.
"Rrojtar"
The figure suddenly expands and a living griffon stands before you. It bows before you and then stands and awaits your commands.
Kazri contacts Linene Graywind via the sending stone. She is delighted to hear the dragon is dead. She informs Kazri that the people will head back to their homes.
Chip moves to help Krom begin to harvest what they can from the dragon. A short time later Rhogar also helps with the task.
Ghorar and Chill head down and find the unexplored area of the keep. The first room is empty and is deathly cold. Chiseled into the lintel above each door is the word “CRYPTS” in Common.
Rough-hewn passageways contain unmarked stone caskets in alcoves. Sealed within each casket are the bones, rusty armor, and rusty weapons of warriors who fell in battle under Delsendra Amzarr’s command.
Of the five unmarked stone caskets in the last tomb, four are empty. The middle casket contains a set of bones but no armor. A wand lays on the chest of the skeleton. Chill collects the wand.
In the south wall a hidden door is found that is designed so that it can be opened only from inside the room by pulling on a hidden handle. The door opens onto a ledge overlooking an icy mountain slope.
"It seems that you have found a griffon mount after all lad." says Krom noticing the magical griffon in front of Rekuberk. The dwarf will then double his efforts into gathering as much materials he can from the dragon with the help of Chip and Rhogar. Krom says to himself "mmm what should I make some armors with those scales and hides...a couple of daggers or maybe battleaxes with the claws...so many things to make so many things.." After a while the dwarf says "Chill! Chill! Bring here that magical jug we found a few days ago. We have just killed a dragon, it is now time to drink!" While waiting to drink a few ales, Krom adds "I wonder if now Phandalin will choose a different Townmaster now. With the people of Phandalin back to their town, Axeholm is going to be empty again. While we think what to do in the future, we could settle there for a bit. I will send a letter to my clansmen in Neverwinter too, maybe a few of them would like to help us rebuild and maintain the keep while we are away."
"Good idea Krom" Chip would add as he works to remove scales and teeth alongside his dwarven companion. "Speaking of collecting parts... we should take some of the bones as well. They would make impressive handles for axes and other weapons. I be they could be polished up pretty nice for buttons and things as well!" Chip would add as he looks off into the distance. "I am going to look soooooo good." He adds out loud before continuing to work.
"Well Ghorar, I think I will give this wand to Rhogar. He seems the magical sort that would appreciate such a gift. Though I'm not sure exactly what it does. But Krom can figure that out for us."
After finishing exploring the place Chill returns to the roof.
"Friend Rhogar, I want you to have this wand. I'm not sure what it does exactly, but I think you will find a use for it. You are very magical and I think it sort of suits you."
Kazri's stows her medallion into her backpack. She stays close to her companions as they search the dragon's treasure hoard. She looks around, to make sure that there are no further danger, however, her mind is on the meaning for her medallion, that is no longer hung over her neck, and close to her chest.

Rekuberk nods as he moves to place a hand on the head of the griffon, carefully looking into its eyes. "You shall be a fine mount but I hope that you shall be a better companion." He will lead Rrojtar over to the others as they begin to divide up their spoils. "Since this shall soon be my home I want you to know that you all shall always have a home here as well. For the time being though I may need to hire some attendants and craftsmen to help in the rebuilding."
Rhogar cannot help himself. Even after filling his gullet the first time around, he yet still nips a few choice pieces for idle chewing during the harvesting process. And though he licked his chops as if tempted by the offer, assuming its ever passed around, but Rhogar shakes his head in refusal. Instead, he would join in holding up his waterskin if there are to be toast. Apart from such, the Bronze had kept largely quiet once the harvesting is complete as talks of the future left him more inclined to look almost wistful.
"Hm? Ah! Hm.. I see! My thanks, friend Chill." He gives a bloody grin, having still not bothered to properly clean up. "You have my thanks, AND my surprise!" Rhogar chuckles as Ghorar pets at the top of the chills head. She quickly flutters away after though, and lands atop the Dragonborn's broader shoulders while he studies the wand. Then Rhogar grins inwardly as a thought occurs, prior to taking off his necklace of fireballs and offering it to Chill. "Though it hardly equates to what has been given, or so -I- imagine, I gift you the final you the final use of it. Mayhaps in using it, it will yet inspire you to greater heights!" He then leans in and stage whispers, "Or serve you well in a pinch."With a wink and the necklace hopefully out of hand, he grins at Kazri whenever she should join the party, though seeming unaware of any changes in her.
Rather, he just seemed glad to see her in clearly good spirits as the rest. "In any case, my friends! As it is likely we'll need to make a couple trips to retrieve the larger bones, so we retire below, and set off early for Phandalin? I imagine when we'll get back, there is to be quite a feast yet awaiting! And the sooner we're back, the sooner we can truly make those other arrangements happen, eh?"
Chill looks at the necklace for a moment and then with a small nod of his head he takes it from Rhogar. He tucks it into a pouch and smiles up at Rhogar.
"My thanks my friend. I'm sure I'll find the right time to use it."
Then, passing the jug of beer around he looks to the others,
"So, dragon BBQ tonight eh? Sounds great to me. "
While sitting around finishing his dragon haunches he muses over the future.
"Not sure what I'm going to do now. I'll head back to town and help Krom clean up Axeholm. But after that, I'm not sure. Maybe take up origami? Learn a new language? I'll have to give it some thought. How about the rest of you? Chip you better be composing a mighty ballad to sing our praises."
Krom, before starting drinking take a few minutes to examine the wand found by Chill. The dwarf's eyes sparks with divine energy as he chants an hymn of divination (Identify). He will then inform Rhogar of the result of his divination.
"Let's drink friends!" Krom fills his cup with ale, drinks it all in a few seconds and then refills it again. "As I was saying after returning to Phandalin, I will head to Axeholm for a while. Your help will be very welcomed Chill! Of course all of you are welcome! We had our good share of fights, meals and drinks together in the past months, but our story is not finished yet, I think that the future has some other quests in store for our merry band!" Krom finishes his second ale and starts his third. The dwarf walks towards the dragon hide the group gathered and chanting a powerful hymn of transmutation (Fabricate) begins to cut and work the hide with incredible speed. In about ten minutes six magnificent white cloaks made of dragon hide are completed, each cloak perfectly tailored for each party member. A dragon scale is embedded on the top back of each cloak. "For us! For the slayers of Cryovain!" shouts Krom as he finishes his work.

Mayhaps in using it, it will yet inspire you to greater heights!" He then leans in and stage whispers, "Or serve you well in a pinch." With a wink and the necklace hopefully out of hand, he grins at Kazri whenever she should join the party, though seeming unaware of any changes in her.
When you realize you're doing too much: Signature.
