Hari makes an impressed noise. "Perhaps we have underestimated your...I believe you call your daashor artificers, yes? If they can create such beings."
"Nasaar gives the chatty pair a glance from where he is casting his ritual. he doesn't speak to them, as he is in the middle of a ritual, but the meaning is clear. 'Please move away from me if you wish to talk...' He turns his full attention back to his ritual as he continues.
About halfway through the casting, the cave shakes once more. But the tremors feel as if they come closer and closer to the party. And from the passage emerges Kierran, nursing his side and holding a rod of sorts. He is followed by a lumbering stone golem, about 8 feet tall with its body covered in fungus and vines. Kierran looks surprised to see you all, "Ah...thought you all were dead or something. What took you all so long?"
"Correction, I was here first and swam first." Kierran points the rod to the pool and the golem moves towards it. "And I wasn't gonna join the fight with those zombies. Why would I when those mushroom things already had an open path." The golem plunges into the water, going deep into the pool. Its size and weight making it unaffected by the currents. "And when I saw pool at first, I thought it wasn't it. So I checked the other path, plenty of trees but no fruits. And found this golem deeper in, took a good while to find its control rod though. Not to mention that this thing wasn't friendly when it woke up."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kastor is unconvinced. Kierran would like us to believe that he didn't feel like helping destroy zombies because he saw an open route to the Apple, raced ahead of us, took a dip in the pool, apparently just for a laugh because he didn't think it was the right one anyway, moved on and encountered a hostile golem, managed to avoid being smashed by it until he'd conveniently found the control rod lying around, and then came back to find us. Something feels a little off about his disappearance.
"I don't know what a corpse flower is but if your talking about a garden, then most likely the same place I got the golem." Tremors can be felt underneath but with each one the apple's speed slows down.
(And he's telling the truth, you guys took a long rest. So that's 8 hours to burn for him.)
And with a final rumble, the apple slows to a standstill in the pool. All the underwater currents in the pool were blocked off by the golem. "Anyone got a health potion? Pretty sure I broke something." Kierran asks as he sits down.
He shrugs, "All I know is that the golem could get to the bottom. Don't know about it swimming." He raises the rod and the golem can be seen at the bottom of the pool.
(So we are negating the fact Nasaar has been conjuring a familiar he can 'only' use this once, then needs to recast to resummon something that can actually live out of water... makes all of this ritual casting needless...)
Glancing over Nasaar frowns as he notices what the others are about. Luckily he has not yet reached the pivital part of the ritual, so he works to modify the ritual, not summoning a octapus, but changing it back to summoning his owl once again.

What took us so long? We've been here ages. We've been for a swim already. What happened to you? Did you take a wrong turn?"

RavenloftAnnihilationNasaar continues his casting, how far from being done is he?

Kastor casts Cure Wounds on Kierran for 9hp.
As he's healing, Kastor asks, "Can the golem grab the Apple on its way back up? Or did one of us need to go in and get it?"

Rusty sense the golem in the water, being unaware of it’s origins he makes another attempt to head it to the apple.
