(OOC Shoor was one of the drow if I'm remember correctly :p)
But Grimnir look at the syrupy blue liquor.... "I wonder what is this..drow liquor ?" (OOC Can I try to identify what is this ? by smell if possible or worst case taste?)
(OOC roll a wisdom check with advantage, for your knowledge of liquors)
Wisdom: 10
You sniff it and swirl it around. It is definitely a drow liquor, and it seems very strong, just from the scent. It may not be entirely safe to drink, and that might be the allure of it.
As Valrish waits for Sarith's answer, he tries on the velvet mask, trying to see if it fits him.
Sarith rubs his temples, and turns to Valrish, "Just personal effects of the lieutenant it appears. Can't imagine what he needs the mask for. It... it doesn't look that good on you I'm afraid."
(OOC Sorry for lack of posts. Work is going to be busy this week, so I'll try to at least post once a day probably in the evening East US time. In the mean time, everyone should have the benefits of a long rest, and be level 2. I'll start the next leg of the journey when I get home tonight. Feel free to RP among yourselves. I'll provide any more NPC responses tonight.)
OOC Guys I need help. I removed some gear (a dungeoneer's pack) from one of my characters, and when I put it back, it didn't appear as an active ítem, but just in the inventory. Do you know how to change it so that it shows as an active one?

(OOC I think they changed the interface a little bit. It looks like you can only make equipment active, by selecting to wear it/wield it in the inventory list. So it doesn't look like you can make your pack active. It probably doesn't need to be.)
Hum maybe not the best time to test the liquor, I will try it later..." Can I keep this ?" Griming asks Valrish "Otherwise , I'm ready to go. We should walk fast and long. We'll probably be hunted"
(OOC) I'm not sure how does it work in 5e if you want to push hard your travel ? Can you actually do that ? Do you get tired or something like that ?
(OOG) No problem about the lack of post Abestos, that's how life is ! :)

(OOC For this adventure, you can choose to go at a fast, normal, or slow pace. Fast will get you there more quickly, but you don't have the opportunity to forage for food and water, and you have a penalty on perception. If you go slowly, you'll have the ability to sneak, (stealth) and get extra food, but take longer. And then there's normal, which doesn't give you a bonus or a penalty to anything.
If you don't forage for food, you run the risk of gaining levels of exhaustion. Because this is play by post, and because I prefer to move along to the more interesting scenes, I'm going to summarize the travel parts, but if you tell me how you'd like to travel, I'll adjust what happens along the way.)
The party spends its first free night camping in a cave and makes preparations to trek through the treacherous Underdark. Several of the group agrees that getting to the Darklake is the most direct route to put distance between them and the drow camp, which is sure to send someone after the escaped prisoners. Shuushar, the Kuo-Toa, assures everyone his people will help them, and that his town of Sloobludop is not far away, though he won't be sure until he gets closer to the lake himself.
During the rest, you and the rest of the refugees forage for food to supply you on the trip. Most of this comes in the way of edible and drinkable fungi, some varieties of which are more common than others. Jimjar, Bupiddo, and Sarith are able to help identify some of these, and teach others what to look for.
Everyone roll a DC 15 Survival check to forage. The higher you roll, the more you are able to gather for your trip, which may determine how quickly you can go.
After foraging, the motley crew packs the few provisions the have and prepares to set out. Just as you are about to head out of the cave you rested in, you here a skittering noise, and without warning a creature crawls into the cave. It seems surprised to find you all there, and pauses about 20 feet in front of you. While you stare at each other, you notice something very unusual about this creature. It appears to have a saddle and harness on it, but no sign of a rider. It does not appear openly hostile.

NPC check list and foraging rolls: Bupiddo - 12 - Bupiddo, being a derro, is familiar enough with the Underdark to forage well, though he mostly hoards it for himself.
Prince Derendil - 8 - The Quaggoth claims that he's never been good at collecting food for himself. Especially since being changed from an elf. He's sure someone will be willing to share. He is a prince after all.
Eldeth Feldrun - 12 - Eldeth isn't able to help much in gathering food. She finds a small group of Bluecaps, but destroys them trying to harvest them.
Jimjar - 22 - Jimjar bets everyone he can collect more fungi than they can. Everyone loses their bet as Jimjar returns with a bag full of Nilhogg's Nose and Waterorbs. He claims he'll keep tabs on the bets, but he's generous with what he's found, giving rations to those who did not do as well foraging.
Sarith Kezkarit- 7 - Sarith spends a minimal amount of time looking for food, then complains of a headache and returns to the cave. Small red soars are faintly visible on his forehead.
Shuushar The Awakened- 18 - Shuushar is to busy meditating to bother foraging. He claims he can sustain himself with little food.
Stool - 11 - being just a small sprout, Stool isn't able to help harvest any food, but he does help everyone to communicate by releasing his rapport spores every hour or so.
Ront - presumed dead, eaten by giant spiders allowing other prisoners to escape Topsy - missing, not seen since party split up Turvy - deceased, killed by Ilvara for stealing food in prison camp
Oorr wastes no time, taking what he's taught and expertly finding fungi abundant in water, as well as useful as a food source. Bluecap, ripplebark, waterorbs, and even some torchstalk, which can be set aflame and used to light a path.

(OOC I'll take into account your first roll for foraging, so you'd already gathered quite a bit.)
You attempt to approach the creature, offering a bit of food. The crawler inches forward, but before you can get too close, something spooks it, and it quickly retreats another 20 feet.

"Oh..." Valrish says, taking it off. "Well, whatever. Has everyone rested? We should leave as soon as possible." He says in a louder voice.
