Belwar recalls there is teleportation circle in Blingdenstone now, which is not far from Araj. There may be other avenues to the Labyrinth as well.

What about going back to Araj, ask Vizeran if he knows anything about a Maze engine, and drop the purple worm egg. Who knows he might have some magical ways to teleport closer to the Labyrinth... maybe Gracklstugh. What do you think Belwar ?"

With everyone agreeing you need to get back to Vizeran and regroup, you gather your things and set off back towards Araj. You don't get very far before you are suddenly ambushed by three large trolls! The trolls have a purple haze around their eyes, and a look of desperation as they attack.

Grimnir then rolls on the side and open his senses to avoid any retaliation from the creatures (using 1 ki point for Patient Defense = Dogding). As he finishing rolling away, Grimnir magically create a ball of fungus and throws it at the troll (DC14 CON or 3 Necrotic Damage)

Filled with righteous rage, Brox does not hesitate, her first attack cleaving into one of the trolls. The second swing doesn't connect, and the troll deflects it with an angry swipe of his hand.
The trolls are badly burned from the fireball, and aren't able to regenerate any of their scarred tissue. Angry, and driven by madness they, attack without mercy on the group, rushing in to surround the three in melee combat.
