[OOC: Cool. I was still a little unsure about this, so it's good to get a clarification. Move won't be for a while as I am supposed to be working at the moment.]

OOC: Two of the harder things to figure out with 5th ed were that there are no held actions, and how the edition handles surprise rounds. Some other things were just a culture shock, like the splitting up attacks and movement and the different paradigm on opportunity attacks, but the absence of held actions and the surprise round rules were things I struggled with most.
Also, no worries! Good luck with work or the absence of doing it! :)
Midian once more uses his magically enhanced words to try to lure Allus towards himself and out of the line of sight of Moonson. The boy turns and looks at him uncertainly while Midian tells Basilly and the guard he is ready to join them in their advance.
The guard does nothing, clearly waiting for directions from Basilly.
Allus runs towards Midian and closes the distance between the two of them quickly.
As he gets close, Midian suddenly hears both Basilly and the guard shout out a warning—something about magic. But Midian needs little warning because as the young man approaches Midian can see the wild look in his eyes and the wicked mass of dark metal that is wrapped around his head.
Midian is momentarily frozen in place by the sight of what he is seeing [OOC: His readied action doesn't trigger.]
But suddenly, Basilly is there.

Allus and Basilly go sprawling onto the ground as Basilly brings the young man down with a flying tackle. [OOC: The two of them are now prone.]
"Look out!" cries Basilly. "He's got a spell on him."
[OOC: It is now Midian's turn in Round #5 and he can make an Arcana Check versus a DC of 15 to see if he knows what Basilly is talking about.
I have also updated the map to show the current situation.]
Although he hasn't seen the spell being used before, the twisted piece of iron crowning Allus' head can only be the visual manifestation of a spell that he has heard referred to as the Crown of Madness.
It would seem likely that Allus is being magically coerced to attack his potential saviours.

Midian briefly speaks to Alus, saying, “Stay here.” For his actions: Midian Moves 25 ft north, taking up a position adjacent to Basilly, his action is Dodge at present. He looks for signs of where Moonson is, within, saying, “The guard seems to have fled, just us again, it seems. Any signs of our target?”
Because of the Friends cantrip that is still operating, I need you to make either a Persuasion or Intimidation check at Advantage to convince Allus to stay where he is.
]
Midian tells Allus to stay where he is and then heads off in the same direction as Basilly.
As he begins to move, Midian see two more guards leave the guard station at the run and he hears one of them calling out for him to stop.
When he reaches the doorway where Basilly has taken cover, he see that the first guard has not run away but is in the same doorway.
Midian standing in the street, keeps alert ready to dodge.
"Cover me, Basilly," yells the first guard, who then sets off up the street at a run and disappears into the doorway where both suspects were originally in hiding.
"Wait, Randal," says Basilly to the running man to no avail. "S**t! You crazy..."
As an aside to Midian, Basilly then adds, "The man is a maniac." He then steps out of the doorway himself to follow the running guard at a slower pace, his sturdy stick held at the ready and his other hand near his component pouch as he cautiously approaches the doorway at an angle.
Please don't forget to make the roll to try to convince Allus to stay put.
Edit: Guard #1 has drawn his scimitar. The other two guards are carrying both scimitars and shields; the scimitar is the most commonly used sword in Englian armed services because of its versatility.
Midian Moves 30 feet/6 squares "up" on the map, then Dashes to move another 4 which gives him line of sight into the building and puts him alongside the other guard. He will see what is visible from this spot of their quarry with Perception of 16 then he will move one square/5 ft "down" on the map back out of line of sight and end his turn hugging the wall next to the entrance.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
[OOC: Round #5
Regarding your Persuasion roll: I suspect Allus is in awe of you just at this moment.
]
Midian dashes up to the doorway in time to see the guard preparing to break down the door.
Stepping back out of line of sight, Midian watches as the well-built guard shoulder charges the door.
[OOC: Guard's Strength (Athletics) Check against the door:20]
The man crashes into the door and Midian hears something break and then sees the door swing open to reveal a darkened room.
"I can't see a thing," the guard yells, standing in the doorway. "If he is in here, he has eyes like a cat."
"Coming!" yells Basilly, who rushes up to stand behind the guard, his sturdy walking stick suddenly flaring to life to bring light to the area.
In the light from Basilly's staff, Midian can see that they have broken into what looks like a high-end clothier's shop. He can see no immediate threats from his angle, but he can hear the sound of someone in heavy boots running up the street behind him.
"Wait! Stop!" shouts the guardsman running towards him.
[OOC: It is now Midian's turn in Round #6
Note: I have changed the names in the initiative order to match the icons used on the map.
Midian moves into the shop, trying to move low to the ground to make a small target (dodge action) looking for Moonson as well as for any adequate cover. If he sees Moonson he will shout his location to Basilly and the guardsmen. If Moonson is within 30 feet of the door he will move closer to his position, if he does not spot their target he will simply go as far in as a move allows and take cover if any objects or furniture are in place that could provide it.
