Listening to Avery talk about their new contract, at the mention that they are being told to go North, he instinctively reaches down to touch the hilt of his dagger in his belt. Pausing for a second he then asks "And assuming we find the girl? What are we to do? The original contract was simply to locate her I believe, which we have done. Is just 'checking in' enough? Is that contract not complete?" He's asking this to know if more is required, or if they will be paid for their work and are 'free' to do as they wish with regards to the girl.
Korba looks to Olivia ((insight to see if she looks tired or hungover 10)), and orders her either a coffee, or some hair of the dog, depending on why he thinks she's so out of it.
Olivia is just tired, she's a little hard to read normally but at the moment her usual smiling is absent and when she eventually lifts her head she looks rather grumpy.
"Hi, I'm Gorm Diabhal... Just Gorm is fine," the petite figure says while stretching and yawning. She is largely covered by a cloak which is a bit large for her but as the hood is down you immediately see a young face with pure white skin like ivory. She has two small horns poking up out of her forehead and past her bright blue short cut hair. One immediately suspects she is a Tiefling and as she turns and you see her tail trailing after her that is quickly confirmed.
As the five and a half foot, maybe a touch more, Gorm moves around the bar grabbing a drink and whatever food is available you catch glimpses of a loose, airy, silken type of clothing beneath the cloak and a short sword at her hip. "This is the team, huh? Nice meeting yas. Keep an eye on Bones there, he may not look like much but he's pretty tricky in a fight. Magics, go figure. Me, I just go straight for the tabby-punchy tactics myself..." And with that Gorm take a seat on the outskirt of the grouping and eats...
Avery looks over the contract and says "Words are important, however this may have been written in haist allowing for some mistakes."
Orros hobbles over to the table and picks up the contract. "First off, I would say to watch what you say about Anneleth, and don't take Chaarp for granted, one member called Anneleth a 'crazy @$$ crack pot' in front of Chaarp, let's just say I've seen some shit…" and Orros waves his hooked hand. "And then I got to see that. Now on to this…" and Orros waves the contract. "I would say perhaps you could go and check in with Chaarp, and ask what he wants, but what I can tell you for a fact is you not having a face to face with his daughter is most likely not going to be acceptable."
"Not for nothing," Gorm says around mouthfuls of gruel or whatever else they serve here, "but you didn't really find anybody yet, did ya?"
After a pause too short to really let anyone answer, Gorm continues. "From what I heard of the tale, some crazy dwarves mystic lady did some magics or such and you now believe this girl your trying to locate ran off with a bard. Likely enough story but it's all magic and rumor until someone actually lays eyes on the girl in person, ain't it? I could see arguing that you met with her face to face in some far off place so contract fulfilled since it didn't specify you hauling her butt back... But trying to call a contract fulfilled based on the magics of a possible suspect of the disappearance? You don't really expect anyone to accept that, does ya?"
Olivia lifts her head up from the table to respond, speaking in a monotone voice, "I agree magic is ******* weird and there was a good chance most of what that woman was saying was a flat out lie but we have reason to believe that she did leave with that group of bards. We first investigated a tavern she dances at on the weekend and we got the clue that she was getting very close with a group of bards the same night she didn't come back. What I don't like about this whole thing is I trust neither Anneleth or the creepy dwarf woman."
"Well that's your contract, not mine, so ignore me if you like," Gorm finished the eating and continues as she busses the table. "I'd just suggest if you met the girl in person and made sure she was safe and not under any kind of duress - physical, magical or bardical - you'd have all the rights to the matter in saying you found the girl. You do that I think she'd be free to choose her own what's next..."
"All in all, I am looking forward to these undead trouble... Sounds like a lot of destructive fun to be had there."
OOC: We all need to stop. No one advised the Guild on how we found Eris, just that we had found her. No mentioned magic or a dwarf wizard or anything like that. The 3 original members agreed to keep out contacts secret, to ourselves. Our methods are our own. That being the case, does anyone want to re-post?
Talinian nods at Orros, "I see your point, Orros." Turning to the others, he continues, "I suggest we travel to the town where Eris is located and then, if we find her still there, speak with her and determine her condition. Then, if she is not under duress, we send a message to Chaarp and Analeth as to her location. Then we can move on to the undead contract."
"I would say perhaps you could go and check in with Chaarp, and ask what he wants, but what I can tell you for a fact is you not having a face to face with his daughter is most likely not going to be acceptable."
Korba nods saying, careful with his words "I never said Anneleth was crazy. However, I suggested he may be using the Guild and is... less than honest... about what he actually wants. I believe any contract taken from him in the future be very carefully scrutinized, and any information provided to him be carefully... presented. It seems he is given far too much faith..."Korba stops here, feeling that Orros and Avery may not be receptive to this criticism, and thinking that perhaps they too shouldn't be trusted, if they give the mage this much trust...
He continues discussing the contract "I do agree. Though the contract simply specified 'locate', we likely should actually at the least find the girl in person. It seems we have a task to complete." Looking to Olivia and Talinian.
((which direction was she known to be at again? Since the new contract is North, was she on the way? I feel like she was a different direction...))
((Scratched out some of what Gorm said, but point that if you didn't see her face to face then ya didn't really find her yet still stands. Unless you're telling the Guild and us that you DID see her face to face and all is well??))
Avery looks to Korba "This is his first contract that was nothing more than gathering of magical supplies, you know herbs, uses and slimes that type of stuff. I wouldn't say we necessarily trust him, and truthfully we really just accepted a contract from him nothing more."
"Perhaps there should be more." Korba says, clearly loosing faith that the Guild is anything more than a poorly organized group of would be mercenaries. "I believe we should head to the girl first, and then North to deal with the Undead." Then looking to the two new members says "Shall we meet you up North?"
Bones looks up from his book on puns to reply to Korba, "I'm happy to join you visiting this girl first. Did you not mention it was on the way? That matters little to me though. Being stuck here does not interest me."
Korba nods, starting to see the tiefling's motivation, and says "Since it is on the way there is no reason for you not to join. Though I don't see why you would have an equal share of the pay, when more than half of the work, at least, has already been done. An equal share of the second half seems fair. Good to have you to join us." He then finishes his meal, and waits to see if anyone else has business before they can be on their way.
Bones returns the book to the shelves. "No pay for me. Contract on the girl was not mine to begin," he pauses for a moment as he turns back towards the group with a stern look, "However undead at the camp is partly my contract, therefore I would like my part for that. I'm not working entirely for free."
He then makes his way towards the door and sits at a chair close to the exit. He checks over his equipment and supplies, before pulling out a book, though it's hard to tell if it was from his beard itself or some pocket behind it, and began reading once more.
“So ya want me waiting til any fighting is half done. Gotcha,” Gorm says with a wink then puts her feet up on a chair and waits for everyone to get ready...
Digging in to his breakfast, waiting for Avery to answer his questions,

I will post again today at lunch based on the results of these rolls.
