After he takes in his surroundings, he will start to make his way to the body, with his sword unsheathed on ready for some sort of trap or surprise attack.
You do not see any footprints on the sand or other signs of invisible creatures in your immediate surrounding. However, you do notice that there is a patch of sand not too far away from the dead body that has a slightly different color to it. Your best guess is that some sort of magic burst impacted in that specific spot not too long ago.

@Shai & @Ven & @Quadere & @Kandalou:
You had learned a bit about Pandemonium before setting out on this journey. You know that it is a plane of madness constituted of a great mass of rock riddled with tunnels carved by howling winds. It is cold, noisy, and dark, just as you had expected. Everything you see around you confirms that you are, fortunately or unfortunately, in the right plane of existence.
It is up to you to share this information with the others.
@Shai & @Vishnu:
The wind here is strong and you are fairly certain that it would quickly extinguish nonmagical open flames such as torches and campfires. It is very hard to speak with the party unless you are very close to them and screaming. This also makes it hard to notice things around you if you are counting on your hearing sense (You have disadvantage on any ability check that relies particularly on hearing.) Furthermore, its howling is unstable, leading you to believe that the wind's intensity may pick up dangerously without warning. Long exposure to these winds are sure to lead to madness, you imagine.

@Quadere:
Your study of the magic properties of the plane of Pandemonium indicate that most of the plane’s inhabitants are creatures that were banished to the plane with no hope of escape, and many of them have been driven mad by the incessant winds or forced to take shelter in places where the winds die down until they sound like distant cries of torment.
It is up to you to share this information with the others.
Ven and Kalak provide some magical light for the group, which should aid in the exploration of this square-shaped chamber and beyond. Now, it becomes obvious to everyone that the only way out of this chamber is to the south, into a long naturally carved hallway. The body on the ground becomes much more visible too, as does the silvery-white pool of blood it lies on top of. It is without a doubt another mind flayer. Vishnu pokes it a bit with her mage hand but gets no reaction from the immobile body.
Shai takes a few steps away from the group to avoid any surprises and Kandalou approaches the body ready to strike... nothing happens.
On the matter of the scorch mark Shai does relay the information to the others and then adds "Don't know where such magic came from but it could be a trigger or trap - which might explain why this portal doesn't seem to be guarded....what do you think?"
In regards to the wind, Shai does share her thoughts on what exposure might cause, stating that we should probably seek to wrap something around our heads to help protect us from such exposure (not sure if I have anything to use though).

The rrakkma spends some time sharing their thoughts and conclusions on their new surroundings. The discussion about the incessant wind, in particular, prompts both Shai and Vishnu to wrap pieces of their own clothes around their heads, which provides some protection to their ears, noses, and mouths. Another small sensory issue is further trivialized when Quadere adds her own magical light to those that had already been created by Kalak and Ven.
Already next to the body, Kandalou examines what might have caused its death. The githyanki notices that the mind flayer suffered two distinct swift strikes to the back of the head. Its cranium, if it has one, was caved in twice by some fierce bludgeoning force. You suspect the victim never had a chance to react, based on the devious placement of the wounds.
Shai's comment about potential magic use gets Kalak interested in the sand around the body. The wizard identifies a spot where a magical burst of some kind occurred and recognizes the mystical markings of an already expired Glyph of Warding. Kalak knows that this type of spell can be used to summon creatures, which would help explain the type of damage the dead illithid suffered. Either that or this dangerous wind picked up and concentrated a blow or two to the mind flayer's head. Either way, there are no prints on the sand showing the presence of anyone else but the rrakkama and the dead illithid.
With three sources of light now present in the room, enough of it sips into the tunnel on the south wall. A quick peek into the tunnel is all it takes for the group to discover the it splits into two passages just after a few yards. If following the tunnel south, the group would have to choose to turn towards the west or keep going further south.
Shai yells to the others to check the body for any clues, but then leaves it up to the others to determine which way to head, figuring that it is a coin toss given the wind would have obliterated any tracks.....
She will fall in second in any marching order as the group heads off.....

“Let’s get to the intersection. We can decide once we have a better view of our choices.“ Quadere rips some cloth from her clothing and tries to protect her ears as well.
Shai tries to ensure her request for further searching the body is heard by her companions closest to it, but the wind seems to intercept that message. Quadere'smessage about moving up to the intersection is heard, however, and the group begins marching that way following Kalak's and Vishnu's words of agreement.
The wind seems more intense in the tunnel. It feels like it is being funneled in. Nonetheless, the approach to the intersection is a safe one. Once there, at the edges of the light radius provided by the spells on Quadere's shield and Kalak's staff, you can see another chamber at the end of the path leading west. For a moment, it looks like something is floating in the wind, much like leaves would, where the west tunnel opens up into this larger chamber.
The path leading south is longer, ending in darkness before it reveals any sort of destination.
(OOC: If anything, the tuning fork would vibrate more intensely if pointed toward the way you came. The tuning fork is attuned to the portal you used to get here.)
Nodding at Ven, Shai will turn to make eye contact with Vishnu, and gestures forward, then attempts to slip into the shadows Stealth27 and moves past Kandalou to approach....
