"I think with all of those webs, we'll have a hard time sneaking past those beetles. I think it might be best to draw them out then make our way through the tunnel afterwards once they're dealt with." Vera commented to the group when the creatures and web came into view.
Knox gets his shield ready and refreshes the flame on his hand, so he will continue having light, even if he wont be using the fire to attack the fire beetles.
"Would it be possible to lure them out, one at a time?"
Knoxlooks at Wendigoand Jhazaal with this question, in case they have any extra knowledge about these creatures and their ways.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Miles:
Trying to recall any good recipes with fire beetles, Miles says, "Stir-fry is best for the little ones, though if there are any large ones nearby poaching works pretty well. I would rather not be trapped in the webs while whatever made them joins the beetles in battle against us, though. Drawing them out sounds like a good plan--how can I help?"

There doesn’t appear to be another way forward anywhere near here, you’d have to lose a good amount of time retracing your steps and finding a different route,

"Would the beetles be immune to fire? I could see if the webbing is flammable, if the beetles are immune they may not get angry if it works. Then we may have an easier time moving through the area. Of course if the webbing burns but doesn't spread easily, then that would be slow going, so maybe not as useful."
"If what you say about the beetles are true Jimjar, then perhaps Knox's plan is worth a shot. We should be prepared for whatever made those webs to quickly appear after we've set them alight."
“I’m not sure if fire beetle flambé would be as good—too easy to overcook them. We might want to find a low-lying area with good ventilation to retreat to in case the smoke gets bad,” contributes Miles.

Other than finding a low-lying area away from the smoke with good ventilation (as he suggested before), Miles holds up a cloth over his mouth and nose as they wait for whatever is in the webs to possible come charging out at them. Failing that, he will back off to get away from any smoke the fires might be creating.

Wendigo looks around for anywhere nearby with lower elevation than the webs, and nocks an arrow in case anything approaches. He'll try to stick with the rest of the group, ideally.

"Have not been to these parts. I do not know these things. Assume they die like all others, though."
Wendigo draws his bow and nocks an arrow, though he does not prepare to fire.

Jimjar lowers Wendigo’s bow arm.
"They’re not dangerous. One of the few things you’ll find down here that isn’t. What we should be worried about is what made those webs."

"Jhazaal think go around?" Jhazaal asks, wondering if that is even an option.

"Jhazaal ready." Jhazaal agrees. He scuttles behind the others as they start to burn the webs.
Knox nods and goes over to some close by webbing and tests to see if it will catch fire and stands back to see if it will spread or die down.
If the fire does begin to spread:
Knox heads back to his friends, ready for a fight with whatever comes from the destruction.
If the fire dies down:
Knox turns and comments.
"It looks like this will take longer than first thought."

The fire does indeed start to spread.
(Is anyone doing anything to prepare?)

The webs burn, and the beetles scuttle around a bit. There’s a tense silence, and then you all realize nothing’s actually happened.

Wendigo waits a few moments, then slowly, tentatively, he begins to move forward, bow at the ready...
"Wait for signal. Stay back. Unless something attack me, then kill it please."
