Guy stabs and misses.
One of the birds leaps and flutters between Mark and Big Un, underneath Talon, to snap at Mark's back while the other two attack his front. The alpha missess, but the other two hit him, beaks carving in.

Two more attack Big Un, both getting in good hits on him.

As the first bird snaps at him, Mark winces slightly in pain, then roars in anger. As he does he focuses on his rage, ignoring part of the strike from the bird.

Seeing that his words had no effect, Talon gives music a try. He lets go of the crossbow and takes out his instrument (is it a lute?) going for a battle song combining notes with beats onto the instrument's body, hoping to help Mark and the others concentrate or, who knows, maybe scare the birds away.
Ember takes another stab at the bird in front of her. "Shoo! Fly away!"
Attack (no modifier): 16
Damage: 1
(Ooc: seeing as a dagger is a finesse weapon, can you tell me if she is welding it with brute stabbing force, or with a flourish? No worries if you can't, just worth a try...😇)
Ember holding her dagger like a very short sword, attempts to peirce the bird under a wing joint with precision. Her stance is similar to a fencer finding their mark.
Ember darts forward and slices a shallow furrow across the birds chest.
Wis save: 19
The bird seems startled by the tiny, angry little person and ruffles is feathers in surprise, looking around nervously, but steeling itself and staying put.
((Ember, roll me a d8 please!))
Talon drops the hand crossbow to dangle from it's strap and pulls out the lute to play a rousing tune. (Nothing mechanical there, but it was a good roll, I'll say that it gives Blue's bird disadvantage on its save.)
Blue poofs some more poison at his bird but it's unaffected.
Con save: 19
Con save: 13
Turn Order:
Guy --> Birds --> Big Un --> Mark --> Ember --> Talon --> Blue -->
A fair bit of blood is dripping from Ember's shallow cut on the bird, and it's looking rather unwell.
((Ember has a pool of 4 d8 Superiority Die (1 expended) and knows Menacing Attack. She has regained a Memory Die!))
((Menacing Attack.
When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to attempt to frighten the target. You add the superiority die to the attack's damage roll, and the target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, it is frightened of you until the end of your next turn.))
((That worked out well!))

Guy strikes out, and feels that Embers approach of a quick, darting strike seems to work fairly well, but he's too busy assessing his technique to put it to good use just yet. While these birds don't seem familiar, he gets a sense that he's worked with animals in the past. ((Dex > Str, Proficient in Animal Handling))
Mark gets hit by the alpha bird, and he collapses to the sand. (Death save for your turn!)
Attack: 22 Damage: 6

The other two that had been focused on Big Un shift to other targets, one slashing at Guy and missing...
Attack: 10 Damage: 6
While the other takes a chunk out of Blue.
Attack: 18 Damage: 5
