<yeah, the designers goofed here, I think, by giving the same monster prone maker and blood thirst abilities, and then shoving 4 of them in a guard room with no support. It's top much the same. I didnt really look at it, I just assimed youd like fireball them in 1 shot like happens to all the intersing monsters>

One lizard guard manages to hide himself behind his brass shield, deflecting most of the damage. The other two try to dodge the blast, unsuccessfully, to the detriment of both, but for one the mistake is not fatal. The less fortunate guard who spotted you initially falls in a scorched heap.
