//I'll stay in longbow range, and the idea wasn't to take them all on, I was gonna wait for them to be split up or a lot of them dead already. :) I'll just chill with Ink, that's fine.//
// I think that maybe some people are still under the assumption that the drawbridge is still down. It has been raised since early this morning and hasn't been lowered since. I tried to make this clear by explaining it in detail :) But just in case, I loaded the image in Gimp and edited it to show the drawbridge up, such as my image editing skills are. Here is an updated map: //
//I guess we will have to see what they do, they are coming from the north, but the road in even if the drawbridge was down is to the west. We just have to wait and see what they do.//
//Correction you mean Marav notices two throwing daggers that USED to be in the weapons pile and now are in his belt as he heads to the western watchtower by the drawbrige.//

Another of the guards, Alara, catches up with Marav. "Lady Solace asked me to join you down here," she says, readying her crossbow. "She seemed like she knew what she was doing, so I obeyed. Maybe we could take that watchtower," she says, pointing to the left of of the drawbridge, "while Ink takes the one on the right?"
"Sounds good, have to admit I am much more at home in the forest than in this city." Marav tells Alara.
//On the way up to the top of the tower are they any pieces of cloth or oil? The kind I could wrap bits around the end of arrows and set ablaze with a tiny fire at the top of the tower? :) A little added fire damage perhaps? That is if I have time.//

There does happen to be a lantern (with oil) in this watchtower. If you had some pieces of cloth, you could do this! It would give you Disadvantage to your combat checks to try and shoot a flaming arrow due to the massive imbalance of weight, unless your targets were within 20 feet.
The orcs neared, and now their war cries could be heard clearly. A huge war chief led the pack, and brandished a long spear.
They were less than a minute out now, and closing.
// As the orcs come into range, I'll need everyone to specify what actions they take. There will be rounds, but no back-and-forth combat at the moment. So it's basically just you guys taking one action of your choice, at roughly the same time. During this round, the orcs will be closing in to about where the "compass" on the above map is (around 150 feet from the drawbridge, so just inside normal longbow range). After a couple "rounds" or so, you will likely have a chance to roll initiative. //
// For those of you completely out of range, you could perhaps prepare defenses or rally the troops in some way. You are free to act and move as you see fit. Creativity may well be rewarded :) //
// For our purposes, all we really need is the upper-left quadrant of the map right now (the rest can be handled in a quasi-narrative fashion), so that is below. Let me know if this positioning is to your liking, or if you'd like to adjust your character at all:
Does anyone have the firebolt cantrip? Cause how about when they get collected in a group on the other side I through the lantern full of oil in the middle of them (doesn't have to hit anyone in particular so maybe advantage? :) ) Then a quick firebolt will set some of them ablaze.
"Anyone have something they could use to light this oil? If I can get it into the crowd of orcs that is. I can use an arrow but the extra weight it might take a few tries to get it there." Marav looks around, "Anyone?"
"Right Sevari, this bridge is ours ta hold!" Flint runs inside to grab some chairs and a couple tables. Will set tables up as makeshift tower shields and use the chairs to throw down on any scaling orcs.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ink yells back to Marav, "I can cast the cantrip Fire Bolt and that might catch your oiled rags on fire. In the meantime, it'll be arrows through the air."
With that Ink casts Mage Armor, then begins notching arrows and aiming towards the right hand of the orc group trying to drive them towards us rather than above North of the settlement.
//OOC I'm in an area with limited cellular service, so I'm going to roll a few attacks, feel free to assume that I'll keep shooting arrows into the war band until they concede or are otherwise defeated. FYI Longbow +6 to hit, +4 damage, Fire Bolt +5 to hit, with Mage armor my AC is 17 and I have a whopping 16 hit points. Quill will keep high watching things in case a group splits off. //
Seviari will help Flint set up some tables on his half of the bridge so that Flint and he can have half cover at least. Sev then casts Minor Illusion to make his voice sound much louder than it actually is. He begins shouting to the guards, "I know this seems like impossible odds. I know that many of you are scared, or wondering how we could possibly win this. But you took an oath to protect the people of this village, and you cannot let them down now! Aim true, strike fast, and strike hard. Do this for your friends, your family, and your neighbors. Let's get ready to kick some Orcs back to where they came from!"
