Khan is on Ang's heels ready to help parting the obstacle in whatever way possible. But by some miracle, she held back realizing Ang's intent, and knowing her more brute force method might only undo them both. Still, every second of standing there is a sort of agony almost as bad as sitting through dinner without strangle the Lord. "You decieved." Khan corrects without turning from the door. "Everyone else. Tricked. Caved. Khan not eat or drink. Khan figured truth sooner. Came hoping to trap Mez... Never again with Shamans. Next time, Khan simply breaks. Breaks till no more magic." She affirms.
The moment the door is opened after that moment, the grung is ready to charge out and onward on her way for the third floor. For all her anger and frustration on the surface, she would keep Saros' warning about the wizard in mind.
Seemingly trapped in the cellar, the group tries to find their way out and share information simultaneously. Darrik reaches the slanted cellar doors and kicks them hard. The simple wooden doors are not particularly robust. They shake and rattle and even begin to splinter after a few kicks, but the heavy metal padlock still holds fast.
Ang begins working on the regular door above the stairs while Khan approaches and waits behind her. As Saros explains the betrayal a bit further to the rest of the team, Ghee goes about finding the secret way out he trusts his ancestors carved out somewhere in their stonework. Ghee knocks repeatedly until, with the aid of Saros' premonition-fueled insight, they jointly take note of a rock that seems specially loose. Ghee pushes the rock into the wall and a wine rack that is a bit out of line with the rest in the cellar begins to move sideways, revealing a tunnel that seems to be going slightly downward. Before anything else, Saros takes a close look at the cellar's ceiling stones but finds no evidence of an additional threat.
Just at this moment, Ang manages to force the door lock to click. Both Khan and Ang look eager to swing the door open immediately after that but, somehow, the door still won't budge. The handle is turning but the door is not moving. They suspect some sort of dead-bolt mechanism on the other side of the door, or perhaps some heavy piece of furniture being pushed against it. There sure where many noises coming from the other side, so something was happening there.
For now, Bleep remains in shock after finding Blip in his current state.
Seeing a couple of the party at the cellar door trying to force it open Saros says (in a voice that hopefully won't carry) "Now is not the time to face them when they have such advantage - best to escape for now....with Blip" nodding toward the grung and the now open tunnel out of the cellar.

Frustrated that successfully picking the door's lock wasn't enough, Ang turns to search for volunteers to push it open instead. However, Saros suggests an alternate way out and the rest of the party seems to agree. The gnomish wizard reverts his earlier advice regarding Blip and suggests the group brings him along. This makes Ghee wonder what they should do with Quinn Quinn, the kobold who won't stop repeating his own name. Khan says that if Ghee wants to free him, then he becomes the dwarf's responsibility.
Without wasting much time, Khan then distribute orders to Ang and Bleep after each of them join her in swearing revenge on the master-apprentice wizard duo. Ang opens the cages without any difficulty (likely the simplest locks she ever had to pick) and Bleep helps guide his semi-incapacitated brother, who keeps stabbing at the air and looking into the distance. At least the blade he is holding is only imaginary. Khan herself lights up her lantern while Ghee approaches the freed Kobold to help lead him out as well. He screams: "I'm Nut Puncher Quinn Quinn!" and moves to prove it.
-> Ghee's DEX saving throw {DC 12}: 21
Ghee sucks a lot of air in his pain and sees stars for the next several seconds. Quinn Quinn pats him on the back and chuckles.
After Ghee recovers, and with a group nod, the party moves into the tunnel. Darrik brings in the rear after he stops kicking the cellar doors and shambles back toward the others.
Now a party of eight, the adventurers move down the tunnel at a somewhat slower-then-desired pace. Bleep is doing as much as he can to support Blip, but the damaged grung doesn't seem to understand the urgency of their situation.
The tunnel is quite long and narrow, and as noted by the party as soon as it was reveled, it slopes downward. Eventually, the group begins to feel a terrible smell fill their nostrils. The air just smells putrid and rotten all of the sudden, and the stench is intensifying as they advance. Leading the party and holding her lantern, Khan is the first one to notice that the tunnel opens up ahead onto a large cavernous chamber. Approaching cautiously, they are funneled into a rocky ledge at the western end of the chamber. A large pit takes most of this room, and a simple rope and wooden bridge connects the ledge the party is standing on the an opposing ledge on the eastern side of this chamber. An opening on the rock wall shows that the tunnel continues on to the east.
Whatever the stench in the air is, it is the most intense right here in the large chamber. It is so bad, it even masks Quinn Quinn's manure coating.
OOC: Things have progressed quickly, but I would have thought we would have closed the door behind us to the best of our ability......was that possible?

Quinn Quinn nods when Ghee asks him not to "introduce" himself to the others. He seems to understand, but the sentence "I'm Nut Puncher Quinn Quinn" is still the only thing the smelly kobold will say. Darrik refuses to believe Quinn Quinn understood the request.
At Saros' suggestion, Ghee and Darrik stay behind a bit to make sure that the secret passage's entrance is closed behind them. To the best of their knowledge, there is no way to open the secret passage from this side, so they'll need to find another way into the manor. The albino dwarf then goes a step further by poisoning some caltrops and dropping them generously behind the group.
AT THE CHAMBER WITH THE PIT & BRIDGE:
In spite of Khan's hurry, Saros asks for a moment as he sits on the ground and channels his senses into Omen. For the next several minutes, the wizard orders his familiar to fly about and investigate the pit, the tunnel, and the bridge:
The Pit: It is large but not as deep as Saros had originally imagined. Some natural light filters in from openings in the ceiling, allowing Saros to have a satisfactory view around through the raven's eyes. However, what he sees is not pleasant. At the bottom of the pit, there is an enormous amount of humanoid remains. A lot of the corpses have decayed to the bone, but the top layers are taken by fresher victims. Most of these seem to be human, but there are some dwarves, half-orcs, elves, half-elves, halflings, and goliaths. There are even a few dragonborn, lizardfolk, gnomes, and goblins in there too. Saros finds no Kenku on the pile, but there were a few bodies he couldn't get a proper read on while flying by. There is a shocking lack of clothes or gear down here, suggesting these bodies were stripped of their belongings before being dumped into the pit.
The Tunnel: It is remarkably similar to the tunnel the party just walked out of, except it angles upward. Omen does not travel the entirety of its length, but Saros judges it not to be impossibly long if they were to walk back to the surface at a reverse incline relative to the first tunnel.
The Bridge: Omen's test takes a while to complete. The bridge is not too long but neither it is conveniently short, and raven hops are minuscule. When it comes to bearing the weight of a raven, the bridge does what it is supposed to do. It doesn't even sway, and the familiar crosses it safely. A visual inspection of the ropes sees that they are not new, although they look to be in good enough shape. They are somewhat frayed here and there, but nothing beyond normal wear and tear. Some of the wooden planks are in worse shape than others.
Khan gives the gnome a moment but does not wait for the whole ordeal to be completed. Bleep uses some rope to securely tie Blip on Khan's back and all grungs begin to descend one side of the cliff, hoping to walk across the bottom and them climb up the other side. They begin their descent before Saros has a chance to report what he has discovered.
The grung put their natural climbing prowess to good use. Although Khan would normally be the fastest of them, the additional weight forces her to be more cautious, and the others keep up with her pace by slowing themselves down a bit. Nonetheless, they reach the bottom after a few minutes as the pit turns out not to be as deep as previously imagined. With the aid of some natural light and the lantern Ang is holding, they see the foul image of a mass grave below them (the same description as the one for Saros above). Not wanting to step on the "ground," at least for now, the group takes a look around. From this close, they are able to find something else in addition to what Omen had seen, though it is not good news. The body of a green grung lies near the opposing wall.
Ghee, Darrik, Quinn Quinn, and Saros are still on the original ledge.
Saros snaps back into his body and relays the grizzly scene below and that the bridge seems solid enough, noting that it seems that this pit gets used. so perhaps the manor knows of the tunnels. Seeing the grungs already moving ahead vai an alternate route, Saros hurrummphs quietly then stands and makes his way across the bridge, holding the ropes and being careful on the worn steps that the raven identified.
Darrik growls angrily to himself, and stalks towards the other door. He’ll attempt to kick it open.
