Blinking his eyes open, Ghee takes a moment to stare up at the sky and watch the clouds passing overhead. The dull ringing in his head and constant ache from his back at least let him know he isn't dead yet. It was daytime before everything went black, surely it's a good sign that it still is? Maybe it's tomorrow, it can't be much longer than that.
Looking round the grounds of the manor, Ghee cannot see the others and assumes they must have ventured inside, although the door is closed. Moving quickly towards the body of Lord Weirding, he stops and rummages through his robes, checking the pockets and making the most of his alone time.
Khan comes to consciousness flexing her hands and occasionally coughing from some of the liquid finding a lung. As her vision cleared and she saw Bleep, her eyes widen at some sudden epiphany prior to her sitting up again. Then they narrow again as hands are balled up into tight fists. Before uttering a word, her attention goes to looking about the room again, and taking stock of the layout while shifting towards some cover on the opposite of the bed from the girl if possible.
"Progeny stronger than thought,"She croaked quietly in Grung. "Better dead than kept alive."She groused, clenching her fist tightly in annoyance. If by then Ghee has made his way into view, Khan tries to flag him down, before then immediately putting a finger to her lips. Then turning back to B'leep, she scrunches her face, visibly conflicted as it wasn't the norm for one of two stations above to talk "shop" or plan with those in the bottom rung. It was always one being ordered by the other.
Yet, she went on to whisper to B'leep(and by extension Ghee) in grung, "Where are the others? And do you think kill the progeny? Quickly and Quietly?" If the answer is yes, she nods curtly, giving him the go ahead to use whatever methods the green might deem fit in the moment. IF he however urges for them to retreat, Khan scowls at B'leep... but would grudgingly nod in acceptance, and work on quietly departing back through the window and onward to the ground again.
Ang continues to run upstairs as fast as she can. She'll reach the third floor in the next "round."
Saros and Darrik stay behind a bit so they can talk to Gnator, still in the stairs linking the first and second floors. He repeats after Saros: "Alright, no rooms for now, and don't worry, the Lord's guests are welcome to roam the first two floors as they see fit, grung or not." He then answers most of the questions thrown at him, trying to be as helpful to his friends as he can. "I do not know much about what is happening in town, only that it is under attack and that we were told to stay inside for our own safety. By "we" I mean myself and the other servants." He then looks over his shoulder, as if checking if anyone is trying to listen in on the juicy gossip he is about to share: "As for the scream, I'm certain that was just Miss Celest starting another of her crying fits. It's been non-stop since her father, well, step-father, prohibited her from seeing her courting male friend, Dicky Whit. But don't worry, these fits have become commonplace recently, and her room is on the third floor in any case... Off limits as per the Lord's directive."
Saros pokes Gnator a bit further about special rooms and he simply repeats himself about the third floor being the lord's personal area and it being off-limits to anyone else other than the Weirdings. "Not that Miss Celest leaves her room, for that matter..." Gantor then explains that he knows nothing of battle, so he wouldn't really know what could possibly be helpful in defeating the goblins. As for the next question, he simply says "No family" while lowering his head. He then looks up again at the mention of "another spell" and "periapt." He doesn't look like he knows what Saros is talking about, but those phrases made him look a bit more suspiciously at both of the Watchers.
Saros ignores the other gnome and begins ritual casting Detect Magic. Darrik keeps Gnator company, distracting him with fantastical tales of defecating flaming primates (reference).

Darrik regales Gnator with tales of flying monkeys that shit all over him and then caught on fire. He can’t seem to remember if those 2 things were related, and it may just never have happened.

Bleep thinks for a moment and responds to Khan in Grung, "The others went in through the front door and know where we went. The progeny has done nothing but cry before and after blast. Weirding used a similar blast once and only once. She used her trick and is outnumbered. If she was a threat, she is no longer."
"No more retreating and the many fights today are more than tiring. My opinion is we go out this room's door and search the rest of the building. If she makes one wrong move, then she dies."
Bleep moves silently to the door while keeping an eye on the human girl. If she moves toward any of the grung as he opens the door (picking the lock if needed), then he will throw a poisoned dagger at her.

Ghee takes in his surroundings and wonders if he had been unconscious for a long period of time. Noting the still fresh bodies lying about the courtyard, he narrows it down to no more than a few minutes, if even that long. Deducing that the others have gone inside, Ghee then approaches the freshest of courtyard bodies. He spends some time with his hands inside Lord Weirding's pockets and pulls out a smooth metal rod.
After that, he begins to climb his rope, which is still attached to the broken third-floor window along with his grappling hook. This time, Ghee advances quickly, eventually peeking into the room for a second time. He sees a crying girl in the corner but not a single one of his companions. (OOC: Both Bleep and Khan are well hidden by the time Ghee can peek through the window.)

A few moments before Ghee's arrival, Khan opens her eyes and takes a second or two to arrive at her own conclusions. She quickly but silently repositions herself such that the teenager's bed is between its owner and Khan herself. Bleep does something similar, finding a gap between one of the walls and a wardrobe. The two grungs can see each other and are not very distant, such that some planning begins to be whispered between the two. In a rare display of managerial growth, Khan puts the decision power concerning the few next steps on Bleep's hands. They agree that the girl is likely not an ongoing threat, and Bleep then insists on exiting through the chamber's door instead of the window.
After the plan is agreed upon but before it is actually implemented, Ghee's face appears at the window. At first, the dwarf does not see the two grungs, but Khan corrects for that a second or two later. The froglings are not the only ones to notice the albino dwarf's second arrival, however. The crying girl lifts her head and looks at Ghee. She oozes fear and continues to cry, but seems to eventually be able to put a few words together. She says: "You, stranger, are you here to save me? Please, take me away from this horrible place. Take me to Dicky!"
Bleep uses this sudden distraction as his opportunity to reach the door unseen. He begins to silently work his tools to get it open. Meanwhile, still hidden, Khan notices that the girl's hair moves a bit strangely when she talks, and concludes that she is most likely wearing a wig. Neither Ghee or Bleep notice this detail.
Although the lock on the room's door is quite simple, the stress of the situation seems to be messing with Bleep's focus. He'll get it open soon enough, but not before the girl gets a response from Ghee (reference).
Though yet needled by the opinion, it was just so, and she /had/ asked for it. That said, as Bleep moved on to get at the door, Khan contemplated more strongly the pros and cons of why Grung hierarchy worked the way it did, and whether it would've been better to adhere more strictly to it. Then, she remembered her own radical actions in assassinating the gold but days ago, quieting the internal debate. OOC: Based on the past information that Saros has now recalled, in the interests of gameplay you can decide which of the two is more likely, as a full 10 minutes to cast the ritual may change the dynamic between what is/can happen with Celeste
If the memory can interrupt his ritual
As Saros settles down and begins his casting, a nagging memory starts to surface, triggered by Gnator's comment about the Dicky, and breaking his focus on the ritual he instead reaches inside his robe to pull out the napkin taken from Gregor's body which confirms the reference "Oh dear" he says to himself "This might change some things" and he jumps up and moves quickly to Gnator "Miss Celeste might be in some trouble, we need to get to get to her as quickly as possible, come with me right now"
If he finishes the ritual before he recalls the information
As he finishes casting, a nagging memory starts to surface, triggered by Gnator's comment about the Dicky, and he reaches inside his robe to pull out the napkin taken from Gregor's body which confirms the reference "Oh dear" he says to himself "This might change some things" and he jumps up and moves quickly to Gnator "Miss Celeste might be in some trouble, we need to get to get to her as quickly as possible, come with me right now"
Saros spins to Darrik and says "This came from Gregor," holding up the paper "it seems that Dicky was going to be 'dealt with'.....and this is something that Celeste, and the others, should know about before things get out of hand"
With that, Saros runs up the stairs as quickly as possible, following the others to the 3rd floor, pulling out the potion of healing and quaffing that as he goes (5 HP restored), feeling the need to restore some of his vitality to make the effort, hoping that he is not too late.
As he ascends, he will stop at the stairs up to the third floor, and regardless of whether he can or cannot detect any magic if Gnator does follow them as expected he says to him "Show us where Celeste 's room is....it may be a matter of life or death"
Saros wants Gnator to lead the way, although Ang must have already gone up the stairs (he did head this way, did he not)?
Saros interrupts his ritual once the name "Dicky" finally sparks a memory in his mind. He approaches Darrik, interrupts his funny tales, and tells Gnator that Miss Celest might be in some danger. The servant jumps in surprise and says: "We should get the Lord then. He'll know what to do."Saros ignores that, shares the note and info with Darrik, and dashes upstairs. Both Darrik and Gnator follow, though the balding gnome looks ever more worried. While they move, Saros chugs a potion of healing. (Saros heals 5 HP.)
Somewhere between the second and third floors, Saros turns to Gnator once more and demands that he reveals which room belongs to Celest. Gnator hesitates: "I don't think we should move further. Lord Weirding will be furious. If miss Celest is in danger, we should tell him right away."
Ang finally arrives on the top floor of the house. The staircase delivers her onto a Gallery Hall. Large life-like paintings fill this space, each depicting different monsters. There are four doors in this open space, all closed, leading to different rooms. Ang can hear voices coming from the rightmost door.
Inside Celest's room, Bleep continues to work on the locked door while Ghee talks to the teenaged girl. She responds after adjusting her hair: "It is nice to meet you, Mr. Mee.. Yah... Ghee... I am Celest Weirding, and yes, this is my room, but also my prison. His name is Dicky Whit, and he is the sweetest. Five nights ago Dicky helped me escape through that window, but we were caught by my step-father. I haven’t seen Dicky since and am worried that my step-father has scared him off. Please, help me escape. I can’t escape on my own on account of the monsters and guards patrolling the grounds." She simultaneously places a hand on her head again and grasps something hanging from her neck, although it is is concealed by all her clothes. Only the top of the chain is visible around the back of her neck.
Khan listens to all of this from her hiding spot. She remains quiet and plans. Just then, Bleep finishes opening the door, quietly. Ang's and Bleep's gazes meet through the crack on the opening door.
"Go and find him if you like, but I would prefer you help us, I am heading up." and will Message Darrik "If Gnator starts to act strange or becomes a problem, knock him out"
Saros then ascends to the 3rd floor looking for Ang.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Other then Khan and I, only the human girl is in here." Bleep responds in kind as he wave Khan over. "Managed to get to Khan in time, human has only seen Ghee and I haven't seen any sort of other hostility outside of that scream. All she's done is cry and ask Ghee about her mate and to free her. Nothing else in room."
"Which other room should we search?" he asks as he creeps out the door, holding it open just long enough for Khan to slip through.
Gnator continues to hesitate when asked to ascend further. When Saros tells him to go look for his master should he so like, Gnator does not think twice. He nods vigorously and begins to descend the steps once again: "I beg you not to advance any further. I'll go get the master and he'll know what to do."Saros ignores this request and moves on to the third floor. There, he sees Ang carefully whispering to Bleep.
(@Shadow: Is Darrik preventing Gnator from going downstairs?)
If Khan is able to notice the signal, she looks at Bleep, stares at him for a moment, and then slowly turns her attention back on Celeste, fully intending to keep an eye on the girl. But for how long, it is anyone's guess. Her face by then had been set into a hard mask bereft of anything at a glance. But though she held no weapon at the moment, it wasn't as if the Orange Grung needed one to do damage, if that was her eventual intent.
Bleep helps Ang catch up with what has been happening in the girl's room. Although Saros can hear them talk, he does not understand the froglings as they are speaking in their native language. Nonetheless, their gestures seem to indicate they are pondering what room to investigate next.
With some hand waves, Bleep invites Khan to slip out of the room as the green grung himself is about to do. Khan seemingly refuses, preferring to keep an eye on the girl for now.
Meanwhile, Ghee continues to keep Celest busy. She replies after a few seconds of active listening. She clearly finds it a bit hard to understand the dwarf: "Dicky is very quick and nimble. He is able to sneak past those beasties and guards and reach my window. I couldn't do that, though..."Her face then lights up when Ghee asks her to describe her companion. She looks like she is about to deliver long-winded, detailed descriptions of every minor feature on the kid, but is interrupted by a major, sudden headache bout. She grabs her head with both hands, causing her wig to slip a bit out of place (this is now obvious to all looking at her.) She screams loudly once more, although this time the screech is not accompanied by a blast of mental energy.

"Go and find him if you like, but I would prefer you help us, I am heading up." and will Message Darrik "If Gnator starts to act strange or becomes a problem, knock him out"
Saros then ascends to the 3rd floor looking for Ang.
"Bubbles the Barbarian" (Locathah - Lvl 9) - Locathah Rising; Shai'ere Delatete (Githyanki Monk - Lvl 9) Rrakkma (deceased - MindFlayer); Saros Rockfoot (Deep Gnome Diviner - Lvl 5) - The Lost Kenku & One Grung Above; Tagret (Goliath Barbarian - Lvl 2) - Tales of Faerun;
"Well it's good tae meet ye Celeste. Did yer beau manage tae escape yer step-da or was he caught by beasties or guards?"
Ghee rubs his hand absently on the back of his neck and grimaces as he recalls the mines underneath the manor.
"Could ye describe yer Dicky get me? Might be ah've seen him but no known his name."

ON THE SECOND FLOOR
Gnator continues to hesitate when asked to ascend further. When Saros tells him to go look for his master should he so like, Gnator does not think twice. He nods vigorously and begins to descend the steps once again: "I beg you not to advance any further. I'll go get the master and he'll know what to do." Saros ignores this request and moves on to the third floor.

ON THE THIRD FLOOR
I couldn't do that, though..." Her face then lights up when Ghee asks her to describe her companion.
