Duncan takes the prisoners up out of the dungeon, making his way through the dusty house until reaching the bright light of the afternoon that causes you to blink and squint several times.
While this happens, Orro and Kayassa stay to investigate the final room. The door does not appear to be trapped, and when you open it… nothing happens. You would then come into a narrow hallway:
Thick dust covers the flagstones of this somber hallway. The walls are decorated with faux columns every ten feet, and the double doors at the west end of the hall are sheathed in copper plate, now green with age. A relief carving of a mournful angel graces the doors.
As you move towards the statue, suddenly the large patch of tile about 5 feet from the doorway cracks and falls beneath you, revealing a pit trap right beneath where you stand. Please make a Dexterity Saving Throw Kayassa.
Kayassa is just able to react quick enough, grabbing a nearby ledgers she falls, and is just able to pull herself up on the other side of the trap, next to the statue— avoiding the pit trap.
You can estimate that the pit is around a 10x10 foot square that just about covers the entire width of the hallway. However, with that roll, there isn’t really any way you can see to get across it.
Kayassa reaches out to poke the statue, and… nothing happens. At least from what you can tell, it just appears to be a normal art fixture.
Kayassa will attempt to take it as she decides to give it to her patron at some point since she knew he would more then likely appreciate how mundane mortal art work. If it is to heavy she will turn to the others. "Help me take this. I think I know someone that will like it. Or at least we could try and sell it off for some of that gold you all are so fond of."
Orro looks at the relief from his vantage point and tries to ascertain if it's different from other reliefs he's seen carved into walls and doors. Assuming not, he says, "I think we need to get moving and get that wizard back to town to get arrested. Maybe Sildar can help. Let's get going, I can throw you some rope, or maybe you can hold onto the wall and get around it that way."
Kayassa: Hefting the small statue, you would estimate that it’s around 50 pounds (If you would like to take it, feel free to add a custom item to your inventory or something like that. If not, that’s fine too).
And as you do this, you do indeed hear a drifting chuckle that just catches your ear along a breeze that blows by smelling of your home.
Orro: This small relief area and the statue look no different from any others you have seen.
Kayassa will awkwardly carry the statue with her, making sure to step around the pit trap. As she hears the laugh a smile Iights up her face and she moves to make her way out of the room.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ok, I will make an acrobatics check with disadvantage for Kayassa due to the statue as she tries to skirt around the trap.
Acrobatics: 7
As she slowly begins to make her way around the trap, the satyr stumbles right before she reaches the end, starting to fall into the pit.
Acrobatics (again): 12
However, this time, Kayassa is not able to grab the edge, and falls down to the bottom, taking 9 bludgeoning damage, and falling prone. (I believe that takes you unconscious?)
I will however say that you are kind of able to give the statue a small push as you fall to where it does not fall down with you, and lands with a crash next to Orro’s feet.
What would you like to do? Kayassa lays knocked out at the bottom of this pit while Orro (accompanied by the statue), stares downward from above.

Orro lets out a prayer in dwarvish that sounds an awful lot like "ahferchrissakes" but is actually a healing word for 6. He looks at the statue, grabs the rope, and shakes it at Kayassa, rolling his eyes, and helps Kayassa climb up.
Kayassa grumbles as she gets up, dusting herself up before taking the rope and then using her powerful jumping ability to hop most of the way up to get out of the hole, dusting herself off.
Kayassa is able to quickly climb up and out of the pit…
After that, what’s next? You still have a charmed thug in the mess hall to deal with, and the odd creature in the crevasse should you choose to deal with it.
Duncan is outside the hideout with the family and a tied up Glasstaff. Duncan, what would you be doing during this time while Orro and Kayassa continue to explore the dungeon?
Duncan is speaking to the family telling them that they are safe now, but that they may be needed later to testify against the wizard. He will then be leading the wizard towards the authorities, with the family if they choose to stick around, but they are free to do as they please.
Orro is ready to head out now that the place has been explored. He goes and retrieves the charmed thug and walks him out to the group and then encourages a quick trip back to town, tying up the thug and the wizard to prevent shenanigans when they uncharm.

Kayassa will move up to the statue and slowly move to poke at it with the tip of her staff, wanting to see if it reacts.

Does Orro have a chance to help grab Kayassa to prevent a fall? Assume not, but he'd try if possible..
Nope… he could make an attempt but it would be only for flavor/RP. No mechanical advantage.

How wide across is the pit? Is there a plank of wood or a door or anything we've passed that could be placed over it?
Kayassa glares at the trap as she straightens herself up, moving to continue poking at the statue with the tip of her staff.
