"Wolf no seem dangerous." Rock says, striding forward to meet the wolf. "What be wrong with wolf?" He asks it. "Children stomp on paw?" He says with a booming chuckle. He eyes up the wolf as he approaches though, looking to see if there is some trick afoot.
"OH that funniest thing Rock has seen in some time..." Rock laughs as he glances from one wolf paw to another. "You seem to keep forgetting which paw is hurt..." He explains to the wolf. Glancing back to the others. "Wolf no hurt, just faking it." He chuckles again as he turns back to the wolf. "Now wolf, you lead us to kids, we get kids free, and no need to crack wolf head." He nods to the wolf, clearly expecting no resistance to his idea.
The wolf responds, "You're looking for the two kids, yes? I know where they are. My vicious master, the frost giant Garagei, has them in his lair to the west. Help me free the kids and get some revenge for all the times he's kicked me senseless."

"Why should we trust you? You've already tried to deceive us wolf"
Standing a little back from Rock and the wolf Finn takes his bow off his back just in case he needs it. Studying the wolf's tone does it seem like he is telling the truth about helping or he has some other purpose (Insight- 12 )

"If wolf does no show us where the kids be, then Rock crack wolf head." Rock says with a nod to Shayne. he glances to the wolf. "Go ahead, lead us to where kids are, but Rock will crack skull if you lead us into trap." He pats the maul on his back as he speaks, then gestures for the wolf to lead the way.
“I would suggest you listen to Rock,” Shayne says while slowly drawing his rapier and dagger. “For it is said his punches can break stone and kicks can crack the very earth itself!”

"Yes, well..." the wolf says as it stands up straight, no longer favoring its leg. "I am Koran. Come on out, brother. They aren't as dumb as the others." Another almost identical-looking wolf emerges from the nearby bushes.
The first one speaks again: "That is my brother, Kanan. The humans that you look for are in Garagei's lodge. Garagei is a frost giant. His lodge is very, very cold."
Kanan adds, "They won't suffer much longer. It's only a matter of time before Garagai skins and eats them."
The two wolves then bolt away, as quickly as they can in, as best you can tell, the general direction of the lodge.

((Spoones, at least for the moment, I'm going to call your character Elderan, because one of the prisoners that you're going to rescue is named Finn.))
You pass through the frozen tundra, following the huge footprints left by the winter wolves. The cold is brisk and biting, and you pass through some light snowfall, but luckily, nothing that affects visibility or makes it unduly difficult to traverse the tundra or find your way without being turned around.
Elderan - you spot in the distance a pack of 3 wolves, smaller than the ones you spoke with just a moment ago. They seem to be prowling in search of food.
Rock strides along at the front of the group, keeping his eyes scanning the way ahead to make sure those talking wolves don't turn back on them. He strides along though, his strides long, but making sure his shorter companions can keep up.
"Talking wolves are strange to Rock." Rock agrees with a nod. "Make good story for clan though, this thing." He keeps an eye on the normal wolves as the group continues heading towards their destination.

If you intend to proceed toward the lodge, what is your marching order?
I would like to go somewhere in the middle.

"Let us do this thing." Rock says with a shrug. He starts out, taking the lead and heading towards the lodge. Rock will be in the front.
Shayne will fall in wherever. He's planning on mainly being an observer, so just not front is good for him.
Avarice will be in the middle also, taking in the surroundings.

Elderan will point out the wolves he spotted. “It seems we are not the only predators on the hunt today.”
to Ines “I trust (pointing to the smaller wolves again) them more”

Thanks to that Perception check, you've seen them before they spotted you. How do you want to handle the situation?
