“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Backstory: The small town of Blinkenberg, where Kynslaor was born, was once an active trading crossroads between many of the surrounding towns. People would come from miles around to get a bite to eat, to stock up on supplies, or to trade goods. Unfortunately, the Minotaur Wars made such travel dangerous and the flow of people stopped overnight. After the wars, the towns and villages that were once proud trading partners were now bitter rivals, each one suspicious of the other. After the kingdoms of Grabisco and Craggs were established, people once again began to travel to Blinkenberg, but they had a hard time getting past the front gates of either town. Kynslaor made his pact in exchange for a revitalisation of his home, not realising the entity had in fact disguised itself as a celestial, revealing its fiendish true form at the last possible moment. Bound into his contract to stop his family starving, Kynslaor found they are now a hostage for his obedience. His master bade him travel to Trishdale by any possible means, to retrieve an artefact powerful enough to free itself from the ice of Stygia. Exhausted, footsore, and hungry, Kynslaor arrives in Trishdale with a determination to do whatever it takes to save his family from his patron’s evil grasp.
A few questions. How are you getting your ability scores? Are you using Point Buy, Standard Array, or Rolling?
Also, please elaborate a bit more in your backstory. With what entity did your character make a pact with? And most importantly, how did they arrive in Trishdale in the first place?)

Baral-Coliseum of Conquest, Lazarus Vernon- Tale of Mercenaries;Bernard Lionsbane- Solo Curse of Strahd
Interested and looking like it's still recruiting. Reading the homebrew rules and I don't actually understand a few bits and pieces of it, especially relating to backpack things but otherwise I think I get the homebrew rules. Still, I'm sure I'll figure the rules out during play.
Rolling Ability scores. Character sheet will follow.
Backstory (Can tweak stuff to fit more with the world):
Vanadia never actually came to Trishdale, at least not for any reason that she had control over. Her father was part of a famed trio monster hunters that came to this place for reasons she never quite understood. Perhaps it was for fame, perhaps it was for a new start. The trio consisted of her elven father, his brother and his dwarven best friend. Her father fell in love and married a local human who would go on to give birth to Vanadia, the eldest daughter of the monster hunter.
She doesn't quite remember much about her father as the tragedy that gave her lycanthropy was also the one that took him away. When she was 5 years old, her father and his two companions returned after a particularly dangerous adventure into the dark lands. Her uncle was bit by a giant wolf-like creature. A week later he feel ill. Since he didn't have anyone to take care of him, Vanadia and her parents stayed with her uncle to take care of him. In the next full moon he transformed into a werewolf and went on a rampage. The attack was sudden and quick. Vanadia's father fought hard to protect his family and managed to drive the werewolf out into the wilderness but received grievous injuries in the process. At the elf's request, the dwarf killed him before he too could turn and attack his own family. Once the dust settled and people's heads started to clear, they realized Vanadia was bit as well and infected.
Over the years that followed, the dwarf friend and the human widow tried their best to raise this werewolf child. They tried experimental medicine that did nothing, then they tried retains, then they attempted to lock her in the cellar to keep her curse a secret. However in the end Vanadia managed to learn to control her affliction to an extent and the disease morphed and evolved in her. Now she is permanently in her hybrid form, no longer able to shapechange. She is no longer immune to mundane weapons. She is much taller and heavier than any half-elf, weighing close to 200 lbs and standing 6ft 8 inches tall. Her hide is much thicker now able to stop blades like Chain Shirt. She is also stronger and more skilled than the average werewolf. The villagers are afraid of her but still tolerate her presence out of respect for her family and because she often uses her monstrous strength in various tasks such as farming, chopping trees and hauling loads. She also joins up with adventurers frequently since she feels she is the most well suited to delving into the dark depths of Alycron.
Fears/Flaws: Her main flaw is that she tends to see herself as expendable and vile, often putting herself in danger to protect others. She is not afraid of much but she is very much afraid of mice and rats. Her usual reaction to seeing a mouse or a rat is to run and hide behind the nearest person or object, even though she is more than strong enough to deal with swarms of rats.
Yes, either backpack or on person, but you get the 3 of each at start of the game whether you can carry them or not. Town will have a safe place where you can store things while on adventure.

I think my equipment is good then. I'm assuming Javelin is ammo type weapon since it is a thrown weapon that characters have like 4-5 starting out in normal games?
(A superb backstory! Alycron provides plenty of opportunities for a Lycanthrope, but just as many dangers as well. Your character will definitely have to watch out for the Inquisition...
To answer your question, Javelins are ammo type weapons, and thus can be produced with adventuring gear. I've addd you to our Private OOC Chat. Please read the first post there to learn how to begin playing.

Baral-Coliseum of Conquest, Lazarus Vernon- Tale of Mercenaries;Bernard Lionsbane- Solo Curse of Strahd
Backstory- Sienna is a pirate and has been from a young age, without knowing her parents she sailed the seas in search of glory and infamy entertaining her crew with songs of her career on the sea, until one day in the shadowy darkness of a storm (which she had seen many the like of) her ship was sundered by a fiend from the depths below, the resulting fall knocking her unconcious, she was washed ashore on the beach of Trishdale and awoke traing to place herself but it was a land she had never seen in all of her days.
She spent the next while learning about her surroundings and making (or trying to) some meager coin using her performances to try to bring some light into the dark place she found herself in, all the while dreaming of the horrors she saw moments before her vision went dark in the ocean, a large orange slitted eye and countless whiping tendrils barbed and suckered whiping at her shattered ship, and a gaping beaked maw slimly avoided.
Fears: Drowning, the Depths of the Ocean and the creatures that lurk therein
Flaws: Insatiable curiosity, Eager to lie rather than be honest
(I hope this is all okay, if you can't see the rolls for the stats on the sheet I will roll them again here so you can see them and re-assign ^.^)

Sienna Fulgurflash, Bard 3- Child of the Stormy Sea - Alycron West Marches
Lightfoot Halfling Paladin, Oath of Redemption- character sheet and etc. coming soon (I have to copy down the oath of redemption from Xanathar's into DDB since I only own the IRL book, not the DDB one)
Backstory- As a child, Perigord (Perry to most others) was very calm and sedate, especially by the standards of the rambunctious halflings. He and his brother, Gerithon, would often go on adventures, Gerithon pushing to go further and do more and Perigord pulling back to keep safe. Later on, Gerithon became an accomplished rogue, while Perigord entered the priesthood of Cyrrolallee, halfling goddess of hearth and home. Eventually, Gerithon came back and started a family, and he and Perigord often got together to talk about their childhood.
Several years passed uneventfully, but one day, Perigord awoke to see his brother's home aflame. By the time he got there, he was far too late, and only learned of what had happened from others- his nephew, Gerithon's son, had murdered his family and burned the house down in a fit of rage. In shock, Perigord collapsed, and when he awoke two days later, the high priest of Cyrrolallee told him that his nephew, Hathorn, had been found- on a ship to Trishdale, surrounded by various criminals that had helped him escape the authorities as he went to the harbor. Perigord was furnished with some light armaments, blessed by the high priest, and told that Cyrrolallee herself had mandated that he redeem and return Hathorn to the hearth and home he had come from. Alone, lost, and confused, Perigord ventured further from his home than he ever had before in his 122 years, without a clue as to how to accomplish his goals.
Fears: He fears both being in a position to accomplish his goals and accomplishing them. He both hates his nephew and wants to redeem him. More than anything, though, he is terrified of betrayal and while he still trusts reasonably quickly, he is always terrified that a friend might betray him. He is also intensely afraid of the unknown, and as a more specific part of that, darkness (since halflings don't have darkvision.)
Personality Traits
I can find common ground between the fiercest enemies, empathizing with them and always working toward peace.
I see omens in every event and action. The gods try to speak to us, we just need to listen.
Ideals
Faith. I trust that my deity will guide my actions. I have faith that if I work hard, things will go well. (Lawful)
Bonds
I must redeem my nephew, and I must redeem all who can be redeemed- I personally know the pain from losing a family member to evil.
Flaws
I am too forgiving, more willing to allow those who are evil to make mistakes than those who are good- I want to help those who are evil on their path to good, but am too scared of betrayal to allow even trusted friends missteps.
(This is a very compelling backstory! I love the idea of a redemption Paladin in a Cosmic Horror setting, and I'm interested to see how he does.

Sorry to rain on your parade @The_Mathemagician but I used the standard array instead of rerolling scores :( .

It definitely would have been pretty neat if I had rolled a perfect standard array however.
