Shishalki looses yet another arrow that again sinks firmly into the creatures now oozing chest (-11hp (Total: -124hp).
Jimjar also fires another crossbow bolt (Attack: 18 Damage: 12 However, it flies just wide of the creature (Miss).
Thodek attempts to bash his Warhammer into the creature a third time, but swings just wide (Miss), however the fire continues to burn (Con. Save: 8) but is soon put out and cause no more damage.
Syvis moves along the outside of the garden, but in her hurriedness does not focus enough on her shot, and it flies wide (Miss). However, the elf then takes some time to survey her surroundings: There is not much more to this battlefield, but you do see a small heap of what seems to be weapons and armor piled and collected to the side. Perhaps the equipment of those who have been hopelessly enslaved in this garden of horrors...
Nicholas rushes back, taking a swipe from the spore servant (Attack: 8 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.) the sword catches his side, drawing blood (-4hp), but he continues backwards. Then, Nicholas takes another shot. The first one rockets towards the Scion, taking a chunk from its chest again, and with a final groan and low moan, the repulsive creatures falls limp to the ground, lying still. (No need to spend the action surge as Nicholas would’ve known to stop).
On top of this, the two spore servants fall to the ground, limp and lifeless without the command of another creature.
With this, the adrenaline of battle slowly wears off, and you once again stand alone in the Garden of Welcome, the distressed heads around you now all limp and still.
(Let me know if you would like a final updated position on the map, I just figured it wasn’t necessary now that combat has ended.)
Nicholas looks around for any signs of other hostiles before letting out a sight of relief. Noticing no more immediate threats he slowly lowers his pistol, "Did we do it? Is it over?"

"It seems they have been given the relief they needed."Shishakli says, gesturing towards the heads. Pointing to the dead beast he adds, "Though what the hell is that? And how did it come to be here?"
Shishakli quickly gathers a couple of arrows that were unbroken in the battle, and, watching his companion with the torch, looks back as he begins to descend from the glade to see if the death of the demonic influence has had any effect on the inhabitants of the Grove.
Thodek drops his torch, and you watch as the flames slowly begin to take over the surrounding area, a soft crackling filling the air. You swear you can almost hear whisper, voices that say “thank you” drifting into the air— the words of those who were liberated.
However, new voices also slowly seem to begin to join these. Coming further, deeper from within the garden beyond where the battle just occurred, you begin to also hear echoes spill from the misty cavern beyond. A cacophony of wheezing voices that wrap together like some kind of discordant unintelligible music that sends a shiver down your spine.
Thodek begins to move away from the grove, "I think we should get back to the uninfected, just in case this didn't clear things up and things head up quick."
The party quickly regroups and rushes back down the steep side of the terrace, making their way to the second half of the group you had previously parted with.
Quickly, you reach the Central Basin, and see there standing the rest of your party. Topsy and Turvy, Derendil clutching a limp Stool, Voyage and Cailean. A collection of myconid ranging from almost 8 feet tall to little more than 2 feet, stand, surrounding the party. There seem to be around 20 or so in total, but as you return, everyone looks in silence, expectantly towards your group.
Basidia is not in this group, and neither are any of the Circle Leaders you had previously met only hours ago, despite the feeling that days have passed.
A cacophony of murmurs and exhales of relief fill your mind, as the myconid spores reach out to thank you. These sounds then continue as other things continue to happen
Derendil steps forward, speaking out to you with a smile. “We’re glad you all are safe; it seems things went well?” Then, in response to Nicholas, and with a vague air of concern. “Yes, Basidia and the other Circle Leaders we can trust left several minutes ago to round up a final set of myconid from the Northern Terraces. We’re just waiting for them to return, and will then make with haste.”
The large Quaggoth then looks down at his feet, speaking slower. “…We have not seen any sign of Phylo… might you have encountered it? Something just doesn’t quite feel right. Almost as if this is all too easy…”
Several others in the group give nods of agreement to this statement, concern also on their faces. What would you like to do?
Thodek looks around at the others, "I think its probably better to stick together at this point. But we might scout a little ahead, staying within sight as best as possible, get an idea of where the others are?"
"The Northern Terraces?" Syvis asks flatly, looking to the others. "Basidia said the myconid there were either infected or indifferent. Perhaps we should follow."
She sets off toward to the north without waiting for the others.
Nicholas frowns at the myconid's words, "I don't like the sound of it. I suggest you folk find somewhere safe to wait outside the city while we investigate further. Hopefully our fears are unfounded."
Nicholas then makes ready to follow after his companions.
