Velshir has little interest in revelries or material needs. He patiently waits until the group is ready to take the next step in finding the kidnapped dwarf and/or protecting the town of Phandolin.
(Carp Alderleaf is the son of Qelline Alderleaf who led you to the tunnel entrance). You spot Carp trying to make his way over to you. Eventually he will do so and puts in your hands a hot bundle of seedcake, topped with a message inviting you to a late supper after the festivities die down at their residence, signed by Qelline.)
You are also able to accompany Joshua back to Barthens who directs him to Linene at the Lioncoster as she has the healing potions that he ultimately purchases. She would be happy to look over any other items that you may have to sell. I believe you are also carrying the longsword that was found. Let me know if you were not please.
Linene will offer to identify the Longsword for you in exchange for the jeweled eye patch.
You also learn from Qelline - Qelline is a longtime friend of a druid named Reidoth. If she figures out that the characters are looking for specific sites in the area, such as Cragmaw Castle or Wave Echo Cave, she suggests that they visit Reidoth and ask for his help, “since there’s not an inch of the land he doesn’t know.” She tells the characters that Reidoth recently set out for the ruins of a town called Thundertree, just west of the Neverwinter Wood. The ruins are about fifty miles northwest of Phandalin, and she provides directions so the characters can easily find the place.
@ Sheyla -
The treasure you retrieved from the Nothic consists of 160 sp, 120 gp, three malachite gems (15 gp each), one unknown potion and a scroll. Were you or Velshir carrying the two potions that were found in the cistern? Sheyla will also be able to purchase another Healers Kit for 5 g per 10 uses. The rare ingredients can be sold to Linene for 25 g ea, but will offer to identify the scroll and other potion (nothic) for you as an exchange.
@Velshir
You are approached separately by a Scholarly Young Elf from the Shrine of Luck in the Center of town. She needs someone to undertake a dangerous mission to the Lair of a Banshee named Agatha as she is looking for a spellbook of a legendary Mage named Bowgentle. She has attempted the trip herself but the Banshee won't appear to her. She advises that you have to appeal to her and offer her a gift and she will answer a question for you. She offers you a jeweled Silver comb to present to the Banshee if you would ask her if she knows where this spell book is. She will happily provide any who embark on this quest, a reward of 3 potions of healing for accomplishing this.
@Prentiss
The Townmaster is happy to see you and further congratulations you on the defeat of the Redbrands, he seems much relieved to have them gone but still prefers to run the town from behind a desk. He is happy to see you and mentions that he could definitely use assistance in another issue should the group be further willing and describes:
Quest: Orc Trouble. Harbin is looking for someone to head east on the Triboar Trail, where travelers have reported trouble with a band of orcs near Wyvern Tor. He offers 100 gp to any group that can take care of the problem.
Sildar is also here. The group rescued him from goblins earlier and he very much has a vested interested in your group. He says that he plans to meet the group at the Inn the following evening to discuss continuations of their mission - (I mentioned earlier in thread)
@Joshua
During the festivities, Joshua meets Daran. Daran Edermath is a retired adventurer who lives in a tidy little cottage beside an apple orchard. A fit, silver-haired half-elf well over a hundred years old, Daran is a fighter who served as a marshal and herald for many years in the lands of the Dragon Coast, far to the southeast. Upon retiring, he returned to the Neverwinter region, his original home. He's quite happy someone finally taught those Redbrands a lesson. He shares the following quest with you:
Quest: Old Owl Trouble. Daran has heard stories from prospectors in the hills northeast of Phandalin that someone is digging around in the ruins known as Old Owl Well. More disturbingly, several prospectors have reported being chased from the area by undead. He asks the characters to visit the ruins, a two-day march northeast of Phandalin, and find out who’s there and what they’re up to. Daran knows that the ruins are an old watchtower of an ancient magical empire known as Netheril, and he worries that dangerous magic might be dormant there
(Longsword... which longsword was that? I don't recall... Not sure Loren would have picked up a longsword - can you find the precise page number? We had Klarg's trove on page 19, ah, there it is, page 32, Nothic's trove. Looks like Iymbril grabbed it, who is no longer with us. Sure, let's say that Loren inherited it, and agrees to trade the jeweled eyepatch, since it (the eyepatch) didn't seem to be particularly magical. The sword is comically big for Loren to use, being taller than he is, but it's silver scabbard is more than shiny enough for Loren's tastes in the meanwhile. Maybe it'll end up being a finesse weapon, who knows? Besides that, there was that other potion from the Nothic's cave that Loren would want identified as well. Perhaps he can sweet talk Linene into doing a two-for-one on identifying in exchange for the jeweled eyepatch? After all, it is a really nice eyepatch... just look at all the, you know, jewels and stuff. )
After the evening celebrations, Loren disappears for a little while with young Carp Alderleaf, heading back to Quelline's for a light sup and tea. While there, he learns the following, which he will share with the party when we meet up as a group the following morning.
OOC: Just as a tally, how much party money are we floating, roughly speaking? between Klarg's trove, the Nothic's cave, and the rest of the Redbrand stuff? I'm not sure I kept tally of the Klarg's trove money in particular, though I've been better at adding the more recent additions to Loren's purse. I don't think Loren took any of the coins from the Nothic's chest - just
I had it redistributed because Lymbryl hadn't responded after it was saved for him so not actually given and MIA. Linene has absolutely no trouble identifying it as its a well know sword historically - +1 longsword in a silver-chased scabbard. The sword is inscribed with the name “Talon,” and its hilt is worked in the shape of a bird of prey with outspread wings. It once belonged to a great knight named Aldith Tresendar, known as the Black Hawk. The potion is a potion of healing.
(OOC: Happy for everyone to read Prentiss's spoiler above - I think we should meet Sildar in the evening and then decide our next steps - the orc hunting sounds like a good side quest, time permitting. DM, I know we're talking pre- and post-rest actions ATM, so will await your go-ahead to process long rest).
Prentiss will also buy one common healing potion for 50gp, tucking it into a pouch for swift access in an emergency.
Consider long rests taken and damage fully healed (some more notes in OOC) Please advise when you are done with business or if I've missed any intended actions. Dinner with Sildar with start the party together again.

Velshir accepts the quest from the elf at the shrine of luck, but he asks for directions and explains that he may only be able to accomplish it if it is near to one of his other duties.
She advises him that the Banshee’s lair is in the town of Conyberry. She explains that Conyberry was sacked by barbarians years ago and now lies in ruins. The Triboar Trail runs right through the abandoned town, providing an easy landmark for locating the lair of the banshee Agatha. From the ruins of Conyberry, an old trail leads northwest into Neverwinter Wood. Agatha’s lair is a few miles outside town.
(checking for loren's readiness. will post later this evening regardless - lives have gotten busier of late and want to allow everyone sufficient time.)
Gathering together for the evenings meal, Sildar joins the group at the table. "Quite the name you are all making for yourselves of late! Well deserved of course. I'm still trying to locate what happened to Iarno Albrek, the wizard that came into town earlier. He's a short, dark-bearded human wizard in his thirties. I fear he's been captured and taken to Cragmaw Castle or elsewhere." Sildar shakes his head. "I hope its not too late... Another matter, this!" Sildar drops a small chest of coins in front of you. "200g for clearing out the manor. The challenge will to be to keep the place that way." He sighs and looks thoughtful a moment as if something has occurred to him but doesn't share. "I haven't discovered yet the location of the Castle, but I know there are Goblin patrols about the countryside that, should you encounter them, may know of its location. I urge you to continue working for us. I know it wasn't what you signed on for, but clearly what you were born to do!" He finished with a broad grin.
At this moment the barkeep greets the group again. A little awe sparkling in his eyes at the chest of gold. "More food and drinks for ye?"
(I believe that all shopping, etc has been done. Be sure to add this share to your funds - 40 g ea and that you're leveled up, spells etc.)
Prentiss looks startled by the contents of the chest; this could have fed many families back home, at least before things changed...
Keen to press on until all those who are suffering at the hands of evil have been saved, he tries to put his point to the group without wanting to seem pushy: "The town master mentioned orc patrols nearby, and Sildar is saying that goblin patrols may have information that we need; maybe both are in the same area and some patrolling could provide us with the intelligence that we need? If we head to Wyvern Tor and back, we can clear the orcs while we are on the hunt for goblins"
Having said his piece, Prentiss retreats slightly back into himself. The night was not restful for him, and the experience of waking to find his sheets not only soaked with sweat, but also frozen solid as if by a deep winter, still troubled him. He felt grateful to have been accepted by this group, seeing the value that working together could add to his chances of helping the people of this region.
Joshua says "Sounds like a good idea, Ive also heard that there are some prospectors in need near Old Owl Well. If we are near I would like to check in on them."

Velshir describes the scenario and the man to Sildar and asks, “Does that sound like it could be your friend?”

"It seems to me he was in charge of the Red Brands. Also, I have this letter."
He shows Sildar the letter addressed to Iarno. (post #1081)
"Looks like your friend has been dabbling in dark matters, Sildar."
