Rowan follows after Quinry, trying to slip through the crowd unnoticed.

Bryn can tell that he’s probably been detected by the red cloaks but continues on as though he’s oblivious to it. Once the Red Cloaks go down the ally Bryn walks past Vedui and says to him without looking at him, “I think they spotted both Jared and I, think you can follow them down the alley or do you know where they will end up and can start following them there?” Bryn then turns to go gather Jared to give Vedui the best chance of being successful.

Vedui will comment to Bryn,  "The ally goes behind the mortuary, let me see where they are going."  Depending on what happens after Vedui's awesome rolling....

OOC: Things are going great! On another note, if I'm correct, right now, only Jormund and Ann stayed behind with Doloran and Harry.

Ann positioning herself closer to the guards, keeping herself in a firm stance, although clearly pacific. Her arms are crossed, and her signet ring is clear for all to see on one of her fingers, thanks to the glove she wore being fingerless. She waits for the man leading the guards to ask the questions first.

After watching the Red Cloaks leave and Bryn follow. Jared will get out of his seat and follow as well. Seeing Vedui, Jared is a bit surprised.
"Dang, he must be a better rogue than I am." Jared thinks to himself. "Guess I have a rival to best then." Jared smiles.

When Bryn approaches him, Jared will ask: "So what next? why'd they go down that alley?"

Also, you guys are headed home on foot? I don't think you'd have time to get the horses away without being noticed.

((Probably just leaving on foot, yes. And I don't think we were planning to head all the way home, just to the edge of the central town/market area to wait for Ann to come meet us once she's done dealing with the guards.))

 OOC: Bryn didn’t follow the cloaks, he let them leave and then told Vedui about them so he could try watching them. 

”I’m not sure why they did. Vedui says it goes behind the mortuary, hopefully he can find out more as I think the Cloaks made both you and me my friend. I’m goin to mill about here for a bit incase Vedui come back or needs help. Do you want to go tell the others what we’re doing and coordinate a place for us to meet up? I assume it will be your tavern?”

"Right" Jared says to Bryn "I'll go back and get the others."
Jared will rush off and try and find the others, telling them what Bryn has found and what Vedui is planning to do. He will also guide them back to where he left Bryn saying "Follow me, I will guide you back to the spot." 

Just as Jared turns to come back to the temple, the guard squad arrives. There's a lot of moving parts right now, but I'm going to say that the guards arrive at the temple right as Jared begins to head back to the group.

The captain sees Ann dressed in her knightly garb and signet and addresses her first. "Well, isn't this quite the sight! Two rat-men, a dwarf, and a knight walk out of a temple... Sounds like the start of a bad joke told over too many drinks! To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?"

Ann hears and responds right before the guards approached. "Their initial disposition I cannot say. But I think I can swing them in our favor. Once they seem willing to hear us out, I want you to help me explain what happened, but let me start."

Ann remains firm, his joke gets ignored, and instead, she bows and then answers respectfully - giving her own spin on the 'kill them with kindness' strategy. "Sir Henry Roaringhorn, sir. She clearly hesitated on speaking her last name. "I'm ready to answer any questions you have, sir, but I ask that you take this seriously. Their training is to secure the base of operations, then advance.  They did as their training dictates, and you all had settled the market square before the general alarm reached the rest of us. Leave it to me to be off duty when something finally exciting happens in Amphail...

As they duck away from the market and start making their way down the road, Rowan glances back over her shoulder to see Ann speaking with the guard. Quietly, she tells Quinry, "I don't think they noticed us. I feel bad leaving Ann and Jormund alone, but hopefully they can handle it."

Seeing the Knight and his troupe make contact with the party, Jared will approach but say nothing. He will just wait patiently and listen.

Ann gives a small nod to Jormund, confirming something about their last talk. She starts. "I don't know what makes this tragedy exciting, but very well. The fight began when an innocent entertainer started playing a cursed set of pipes. It attracted the attention of multiple swarms of rats which quickly became aggressive. I and five more were here to fight them. Our backgrounds have almost nothing in common, and in fact, there was only one fighter there who I didn't meet in Amphail for the first time today."
