Onyx cannot lie to his 'passenger'.
You did not choose a coward in me. This place must be purged. You must be avenged. I may fail, but I must try.
As the Ancient Thing awakens, Onyx feels a wave of revulsion and fear threaten to wash over him. But there is also rage - and by reaching out and grasping that fiery anger, Onyx manages to steel himself. He screams back at the creature defiantly, reaching for the hilt of his sword.
"Lhorgoth, Decayer, you will not break my spirit. You may destroy my body but my soul shall burn eternal!"
Combat
Hearing Talion's warning about their exits, Onyx curses aloud. He turns to the north to run, notices Lucky Bear hop up, and almost punts the dog back off the dais. He could not stop for an animal - there was too much on the line.
"Get to Erven, boy!," he barks as he takes off to C6 and slashes at the Vine Blight barring their escape.
Attack: 16 Damage: 11 slashing damage.

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
Something in Sho’s throat made a sound between disgust and desolation, as the giant, lumbering undead entity slowly stands up, the ugly thing made of pain and despair of the the dead. He starts backing away and gives one last hurried glance at the blood-stained alter, a ship that had sailed. He did hold out hope - if the Undying King was going to leave him in the moment of undeath, then perhaps he deserved to be one with Lorghoth the Decayer, rotting away for eternity. But it is all too late.
He legs bring him on the move as he rushes past Talion, this close that you could see the the red starbursts at the corners of his eyes, the pink smear rage and of exhaustion. “Run!” He yells at the warlock’s face, fingers sparkling with magic, and he stops onto the dais, on F7.
(Crap for somereason I keep forgetting the shortsword... Since it has the same stats he will swing at the one near him with that since it is the closest threat.)

Bertolt drops his crossbow and pulls out his trusty short sword and hacks at the vine next to him. The bard hacks a huge chunk from the creature, pieces of it drop to the ledge below and some skitter off into the water, still squirming and dripping a oozing green liquid from where it was sliced!
Onyx jumps off the dais and yells something at Lucky Bear, who cringes away from the fast-moving warrior. Onyx gets to E6 when VB1's reaction kicks in. As Onyx moves through the water, something grabs onto his foot, nearly tripping him. Looking down he sees a thin vine tangled on his foot. Shaking it off he tries to take another step, but another root shoots up! Onyx, make a strength saving throw, DC12. On a failure, you are restrained!
Sho jumps down from the ledge where he was and rushes up to the dais, where Lucky Bear greets him with a bark. He completes his spell, pink and purple aura settling onto him like a sheer fabric, which turns invisible after a second...
VB2 has potential prey within reach and so will last out with a tendril at Bertolt! Attack:9Damage:13 bludgeoning damage. If it hits, you are grappled!
Lorghoth wails and screams from baby Walter's agony-painted face, moving up towards Talion. As the creature begins to move, the apparitions all start again with the incessant drumming and chant. This time the voices are more frantic and wild, raising to a fever pitch in places... Again, the guttural language grating on your sensibilities, you all hear: "Tmy ylv tapyw! dyizm, ky eriuwyv! Tmy ylv tapyw! dyizm, ky eriuwyv!" Sho and Onyx, you hear this as:
“The end comes! Death, be praised! The end comes! Death, be praised!”
It will extend two fleshy appendages from its form and move to slam attack him! Slam attack 1 - Attack:12Damage:16 bludgeoning damage... Slam attack 2 - Attack:19Damage:12 bludgeoning damage... *if both hit, you are grappled and, well, let's cross that bridge if we come to it....
(( @DM: Need to cross that bridge now...both hit ))
Both slams hit Talion and grapple him. You all watch, horrified and mouths agape, as the screaming creature engulfs Talion, imbibing it into its form like a swimmer sinks below the water... Talion, you find yourself inside the creature. It smells of sulfur and the bones push against you roughly, squeezing the crushing you.....You are restrained. Thanks to your darkvision, you're able to see some features in here, though you are unable to breath (roll a perception check please to see just how much).
Also, you will need to roll a CON save (DC14) before your turn. On a fail, take 7 bludgeoning damage as the insides of Lorghoth crunch your body. Also take 2 acid damage as the putrefying, caustic liquid begins to eat at your person. On a success, take half damage... [sorry, that should be 2d8 acid, so 4 total]
Erven is going to move north toward the portcullis (reaching E8, or closer - not exactly sure where VB1 is.). He swings and attacks the vine blight blocking their escape north.
Attack: 26 Damage: 15

The grapple is automatic since both hits attack. It also engulfs you as a result. You take 11 damage. Unfortunately, you are legitimately discombobulated and confused by being eaten. You don't see anything right away that might help you. You are currently holding your breath whilst inside. You are able to hold your breath for 3 minutes!
Erven, you are currently with rapier and shield. You notice the vines coming up from the floor/water. Do you wish to enter that area and attack VB1? **edit nevermind, you can't make it there!
Each vine is where the red markers are on the map.
Taion pales when he sees the vines, then calls out urgently, ""Beware the grappling vines, they reach further than Erven's whip!"

Lucky Bear hops onto the dais where Onyx is. She takes dodge.
VB1, with no enemies, will stay at portcullis location, spreading its tentacles outwards.

@Bert: maybe the north one as suggested in OOC?
