Erven motions quietly for his companions to come in, then he walks around the corner to see what is going on.. He tries to remain quiet so that he won’t startle anyone. He looks for the source of the sobbing..

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
It’s not hard to find. You walk in about 10 feet down the hallway and around the corner to the right. You see an older woman, sobbing and clutching at a doll; the doll looks oddly familiar. She doesn’t seem to have even noticed you.
Bertolt moves to rest his hand by his side as they enter the house, looking around until they see the woman clutching the doll. He looks to the others before he moves to take a step forward. "Excuse me madam."
Mary clutches the doll protectively. She is despondent and lost in sadness and sorrow. She rocks back and forth lightly. She starts at the sound of Bertolt's voice. She looks around in confusion, eyes wild. She finally sees Bertolt and the few of you around her. "Wha-who - ? An-any news? What of Gertruda?" She tries to get up but falls to the floor again. "Have you found her?"
Erven says "Gertruda? No, we have not seen her. Can you tell us about her, where she is, what has happened? Is this her room?" He steps into the room and quickly glances around, looking for information about Gertruda and what has happened, anything of note in the room.

As Bertolt and Erven speak with the sad old woman, Onyx remains near the doorway - he knew his strengths and his weaknesses. As he looks on, he exhales and calls upon his divine sense.

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
Sho stays by the door for a moment, touching his hands to the splintered wood of the door, mending the broken parts under his fingers. He picks up and fixes the door latch as well, and he closes the door behind him, stands the latch by the door but does not put it back on.
Erven says "Gertruda? No, we have not seen her. Can you tell us about her, where she is, what has happened? Is this her room?" He steps into the room and quickly glances around, looking for information about Gertruda and what has happened, anything of note in the room.

She starts at your voice and finally notices you. Her face falls at your words and continues to rock back and forth, "Gertruda, Gertruda," she moans. "I tried to protect her, why would she run away? Why? Oh, Gertruda!" She sniffles, "She's been gone almost two weeks. It's my fault, it's all my fault. I kept her in this house her whole life. It's all my fault. Oh Gertruda!" The woman begins sobbing loudly, crying and clutching the doll. The room you are in has a bit of broken furniture and is unkempt.
As Bertolt and Erven speak with the sad old woman, Onyx remains near the doorway - he knew his strengths and his weaknesses. As he looks on, he exhales and calls upon his divine sense.
As you and Sho and Talion hang back, you exhale in the cool air of the room. You all watch as Bertolt and Erven try to engage with the woman. Sho's spell starts knitting the wooden board back together and you open your senses to the presence of evil. You get a strong smell coming from the old woman - no, the doll she clutches in her hands and hunches over it, miserably... The doll looks familiar...[anyone can roll an intelligence check if you want].
Onyx:
You hear the tinny voice in your head, Oooh, that tickles! Hey my friends are back to play some more! I knew I'd find you all here! How very rude of you all before, burning me and chopping me up like that! Hee, hee hee! Onyx, the other voice in your head talks to you, This is a powerful and corrupted evil - even I can sense this. Be careful.
Erven:
You hear a tinny voice in your head, You should run as fast as you can away from here! These people mean to hurt you! Roll a wisdom save.
The woman continues to cry and sob, clutching the doll tightly...
Outwardly, the rest of you are watching the woman, Bert, and Erven when you hear Strange rasping sounds coming from where the woman is...
The doll surprises all of you, none of you really paid it much attention until it began chittering. This was as a result of being sensed by Onyx's divine sense.
You all hear something and watch as Erven sprints by you and down the hall and - from the sounds - out the building!
At the sound of the metallic voice, Mary begins sobbing and moaning and rocking back and forth, doll clutched in her hands; delirious, mad, despondent - maybe all three. She barely notices you, she barely notices anything at all anymore.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Talion curses again, as he involuntarily takes a step back, remembering the last encounter with the doll. He then launches arcane energies in its direction.
