"Most beast are smarter than people think," Druquilla remarks squirming a little as the small lizards continue to crawl over her. "Kraven I think has the right idea but we will need to be careful one stray shot and mom and dad over there will see us as enemies."
Druquilla draws and readies her longbow but holds her shot waiting to see if the snakes will move away from the eggs.

"Well I guess there is a first time for everything." Aubric says before moving around to position himself so the Lizards are clearly not in the line of attack and will cast Fire Bolt towards the snakes
One snake still up (mechanicly its a swarm) waiting on Mist. Druquilla I want to make sure I am understanding this correctly, you are holding your attack for if the snakes go after the eggs still?

"Bah! Squiggly wiggly slimy little varmints. Just go away or die quickly!" Mist yells in disgust as he clutches his crystal talisman and fires a bolt of green energy at the remaining snake.
Seeing it is the last snake left it flees to protect itself. The larger lizard moves to the egg nest. The smaller one nods it's head in your direction, then turns to the path takes a few steps on to the path, then turns back to look to see if you all are following. Do you follow him?
Gintarou blows a whistle. "Wow! The legend is true! I'll definitely tell this when I go back to the guild!" Putting away his crossbow, the warrior follows the small lizard and steps in the path.
The lizard leads a bit on the path, this path generally takes you to where the needle is pointing, but at a certain point he goes into the tree line, everyone would have to get down to crawl under to follow, he again looks back to see if you all are following him. Do you all crawl to follow him?
"We've come this far following a dusty old toy, a crackpot, and a ghost. I see no reason not to follow a giant lizard into the brush since we're already here anyway."
Kraven looks at the others crawling in the dirt and ruffles his feathers at the indignity of it, then sighs and lands. Crawling as best he can after the others.
"I'm with Mist, this would not be the strangest thing for us to follow," Druquilla remarks with a shrug. "Just give me a moment to get these things off me."
Druquilla goes about removing the lizards crawling on her then follows the others after the large lizard.
(OOG- Sorry for the delay, I had this typed out on my work PC, thought I posted it on Tuesday before leaving for work, then did not work yesterday.)
You crawl for a while, Gintarou if you check the compass your direction starts to head into a direction that puts you a little more on course, after about 100 or so feet you break the bush and come to a clearing. The clearing is in a half circle shape starting/ending at the base of the volcano. The grass here is long. Creatures who would eat this grass would have just as hard if not harder time to get into the clearing. There is a large cliff face that has an opening to it. Below is a link for a google slide to check out with a visual, 1 sorry I could not find the perfect picture, 2 sorry I suck at making it look perfect 3 the cliff side is black and greys not tans.
Gintarou forces his huge figure through the thick bush.
When the warrior reaches the opening, his body is covered with little twigs. "…According to our artifact, we are heading the right way." If the lizards are still hanging on him, Gintarou will gently take them away. I won't eat lizards on this island, he thinks.
Stopping for a moment to pray for the dead, the young warrior walks towards the cave which is on the cliff. He looks at the compass and checks if it's pointing to the opening.
Brushing off the bits of leaves and twigs Aubric stands and straightens his robes. "Are we heading in there?" he asks pointing to the cave. (Also where have our lizard friends gone?)

"I'm happy to know that we are on the same page!" Gintarou changes his position as Aubric did, and shoots one of the snakes with his crossbow.
Crossbow:Attack: 16 Damage: 7
2 of the snakes are dead. One looks really bad. Once I get the last 3 turns taken I will take the monster's turns.

(You are correct if any snakes are still alive and go for the eggs Druquilla will take her shot)

"We might as well see where this will lead us." Aubric shrugs and begins to crawl and follow the lizard.

In the grass you do find a dead body, long dead, mostly bones.
